Nuff said!

I definitely have to agree! Sailing a ship into the Abyss! That thought alone is cool enough but once you get to the island it gets better. Can't wait to see the last adventures, they should be awesome.

Got my Issue In the mail yesterday, after getting out of work I sat down and read It. Awesome!!! I love "Orgosh"! Doesn't he look like something outta Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas"? This thread doesn't say spoilers on It, so I don't want to ruin anything for anyone but great Introduction Into the Abyss.
DAve

Scarab Sages

I've been looking forward to getting #147 ever since reading the description in the preview issue #138. But I hopefully I'll get 146 in the mail first.

yeah and looks so cute too... bet someone will love to take him along as a pet.. if such a creature can be a pet :D

oh, did anyone else notice the wealth in larvae?
3 pits, 30'*30'**40'= 36.000 cu ft each.

A larvae is "a foot long worm". Ie each pit has maybe 50.000.. but easily far more... like 80.000
Now note, its 3 pits.
And each larvae sells for 250gp, or can be used as a 10xp substitute...

and what to do with all those 100 prisoners.. so many yummy things can be planned :D
And all are powerless to resist...

Now why not recreate that energydrain & ritual the lich-queen has.. for the oputsiders. Those liches are perfect rawmaterial for those eldritch golems, that have a spell of each level -> wish-machine :D
Which leaves a few mind-flayers..

But the map is so freakin' huge that you'd need your whole dining/living room to scale it for minis. ;(

The overview map also features one of my favorite typos ever. Who would have thought that Demogorgon's prison would be populated by angry stockbrokers?

(Though with Demogorgon's record-keeping, I frankly wouldn't blame the stockbrokers.)

if we are discussing the small map on page 53, all it says in the NW corner are: "the screaming jungle" and "Lemoriax".
Please be more precise or explain how those are related to stock brokers?
