While some have no problem jumping on the Pathfinder bandwagon I am not sure where I want my subscription credit to go. Show me a link (not a thread) detailing Gamemastery. What is Gamemastery? It sounds just like Dungeon. If it is, I'll probably put my money there. Pathfinder seems extremely cost ineffective so I'm not likely to waste my money on it.

GameMastery is a line of products designed to make life easier for Game Masters. It includes several sublines, which you can see here.

I think you may specifically want to check out the GameMastery Modules, which are here.

Whoa, why didn't my response go through? Let's try again.

Yes, there are subscriptions that have this allowance. When I patronized a certain music cd club they sent their members a "cd of the month" every month. Subscribers had a set amount of time to decide if we wanted to pay for it or send it back.

Frankly, Pathfinder is considerably different from SI or Chess Life (the other mags I subscribe to). For the cost of a year subscription to these I would get 3 issues of Pathfinder. This is a serious problem if I don't like a particular issue or two.

More importantly, we're being influenced, gently and politely, to hand over money we've put toward Dungeon (and Dragon) to something we've never seen before.

Molech, you should also check out the Pathfinder blog. It will be updated daily over the weekend with some pretty nifty previews of what it's all about.

The Blog is the coolest thing I have ever seen!

Today's installment made me want to game instantly! I was like: "I must run a game with goblins this weekend...no f!$& that...right f#&#ing now!!!"

GUAYAKI!

Actually no, f@*& GUAYAKI!

PATHFINDER!!! That's my new drug of choice.

Oh, and Molech...I've seen a lot of what Pathfinder is all about, and if you trust my opinion - It is the best gaming goodness ever crafted. James Jacobs! Richard Pett! Some A%!$+!$! Wolfgang Baur! Steve Greer! Greg Vaughan!...and the whole thing masterminded by James J., Wes, and Jimmy Suts!!! Believe me, of what I've seen so far (a lot) it blows anything that has come before away...except my installment, which will of course not be as good, cause it's written by me! ;-)

Molech, think of GameMastery as the logistical support for Pathfinder. GameMastery products are designed to assist players AND DMs/GMs in making gameplay mo' bettah.

Spend $10 on the Critical Hit deck - though it's touted as OGL compatible, there really isn't anything too system specific in it, so you could use it for a wide variety of games.

Wow, I sounded like a shill...but the products I've gotten from GameMastery have been excellent quality.

Who knew that was all it would take to make goblins cool. Now there's just the problem of making stock kobolds seem as interesting in the Gamemastery release.

The 'Ecology of' articles were one of my favorite parts of Dragon Magazine, so I hope you're planning on a bunch of those for the Gamemastery and Pathfinder books.

Yeah—no worries on that. We've shown you what *one* kobold looks like... but I'll also tell you that they don't all look like that....

Fletch:

When the guys in the Editorial bullpen showed me the artwork for the kobolds and explained their visions, it brought tears to my eyes. I spent 15 minutes running around the office shouting, "Now THAT is how you do kobolds!" Seriously, they have done a bang-up job making kobolds super cool and logical. I actually am looking forward to running kobolds now!

Now I hate goblins, kobolds and all that boring 1st level stuff, but damn if that blog entry didn't make them look super-cool. More like medieval fairy-story goblins who hide behind your fireplace and eat your cat ("dog-choppers" indeed). So tempted to go for Pathfinder now...

Ah, Nick, it's sad to see that the constant haranguing from Prett and his legion of tea-drinking minions has finally gotten to you. Buck up, kiddo! I'm sure your contribution will be better than OK!
