Why do people insist on using all lower-case letters? This isn't some chat room where you have to try to carry on a conversation in normal time. Is the shift key simply too much work? It just irks me.
It's basic self-centered-ness: "The tiny amount of effort involved in using the shift key for me outweighs the immense amount of effort it takes all of the readers to decipher my gibberish!" I'm at the point where I don't read anything that lacks capitals or punctuation (which means at work, there's one manager who's effectively invisible to me).

It actually doesn't seem like that big of a problem to me. The only offenders I've seen are Sharoth, windknight, and Rhyan Garrow. And myself and Heathansson, but we're just being snarky.

Hey now!
I do my best to keep my "i"s in the correct case... I'm quite a bit better with them than I was five years ago. It doesn't help that my leftshift key is a bit sticky and doesn't always connect, but that's neither here nor there.
My big issue tends towards capitalizations at the beginnings of sentances. I blame Everquest/WoW - I certainly learned to touch-type, but bothering with the niceties of capitalization were never a priority. ;-)

Heyyy, no need to get riled, I was just citing a few minor examples to prove to Dirk that it wasn't a big problem. I wasn't trying to make anyone angry (except maybe Dirk. Heh heh).

nah mate, this isn't riled. Riled is saved for other boards, where calling someone a !@%$!$ @#$#@!$%ing @!#$ is considered to be not trying hard enough. ;-)
I think that, quite possibly, this is the one messageboard I frequent where good manners and civility (without excessive moderation) is good form.

I know what you mean. The DDO boards make Paizo look like the Land of the Happy Shiny Love Hippies.

Whilst I played WoW, I avoided those boards like the plague, lest I catch the dumb and turn into a drooling moron who actually preferred playing WoW to getting together with some friends and rolling the polyhedral dice.
