For starters, you can post under "gamer connection" on these boards that you're a gamer looking for a group in Las Vegas NV. Wizards and other gamer websites also have message boards for this purpose.
I don't know anything about gaming in Vegas, but there is an active group of gamers from Vegas on these boards, led by Dungeon contributor Steve Greer. He's running a Savage Tide campaign right now (see his campaign journal in the appropriate section of the boards), and if he doesn't have a chair for you at his gaming table, he probably can help you connect with other gamers in the area and an FLGS or two.
Good luck!

Under the messageboard area called "Gamer Connections" post an ad looking for gamers in your area (follow the format of most of the posts by putting city and state in the title). Find gamers, find gaming store.
Also WotC has a classifieds section here Linkity-link-link
As a side note someone in the "Help!!Need ideas for a wizard killer" thread is posting with a signature that is looking to start a game in Vegas, think he goes by Istara.

FS - i am the same person, and who is fakey?
The person who posted right before me. Fake Healer. It's a term of endearment on these boards. There are a few who call me 'Fatey' but this often leads to confusion since I'm pretty sure FH was here first.
Unfortunately, Las Vegas is a bit of a drive for me and I doubt you'd want to head down to Phoenix on a regular basis. Otherwise, I might be able to help you out. Something you should consider is looking through the local yellow pages (or internet equivalent) for hobby stores that cater to D&D players. Check their bulletin boards and find out if there are any groups looking for players or check with management to find out if they host any games there. That's one of the best ways to find yourself a group in a new place, imo.

Fakey! Love our resident False One! :) *gives Fakey a big hug*
Eh, I posted the same advice that Perhain gave in the Wizard-killer thread. You could try meetup.com as well if you don't find something that helps you here. :)

Steve Greer, a resident lurker and sparkling wit and personality here abouts can probably give you the low-down on the best places in Vegas to get your gaming stuff (and by proxy where to look for a message board for games) and maybe even some leads on other groups in the area. I'm not trying to commit him, I'm just saying he's freindly, knowledgable, and a helpful sort.
Otherwise, Lilith's idea of putting your info down on meetup.com is a good suggestion.

Dark Tower Comics and Hobbytown, on Sahara and Decatur, carry gaming materials; Dark Tower also has tables in the back that you can schedule for gaming purposes. Also on Sahara, farther toward the freeway, Kool Kollectibles has a fairly large supply of gaming materials, but to be honest I don't care much for the people running the place.

Then there's the old fashioned way: find a hobby shop that has a real bulletin board to look at and post on. It's a little more dicey, in that you will actually have to meet some of those people face to face before you accept/reject their bid to join you game, but then you're in Vegas, baby...that city's all about gambling...isn't it?

I just got out of the marine corps and am origonally from brooklyn and i got married and live in vegas now i cant find any game shops, let alone find gamers not to mention the fact that i barely know anyone here. any suggestions?
Welcome to Las Vegas, Istari!
Here's my suggestions...First, don't bother with Hobbytown. Since Angel, one of my former players quit working there about 3 years ago, it's steadily gone downhill as far as D&D merchandise and general networking, but it's not a complete dead end if you want to give that angle a try.
Darktower Comics is much better for meeting other gamers. They have an ok website with this messageboard forum to find other local gamers.
You can also post here on Paizo's Gamer Connection boards to try to find a game locally. There are only about 5 locals I know of that post here, though, so let's try this...
Here are the e-mails of some of the locals I've gamed with before and I know run games or have run games. Please be sure to put my name as who referred you to them somewhere in your message header if you try to contact any of them.
Isaak Haywood --> game@greyhawkonline.com (runs a Greyhawk game, sometimes frequents these boards as Theocrat)
Shawn Humprhey --> Peredyne@msn.com (has run Greyhawk, Iron Kingdoms, and possibly others. May or may not still be running a game)
Douglas --> JakSkletn@aol.com (was running a Forgotten Realms game the last we spoke about 3 months ago)
Todd Rowe --> towelboytodd@yahoo.com (good friend of mine. looking to start up an Aberrant or Pulp adventure game)
Frank Myers --> ping him @ QuietMrE on AIM since I don't know his e-mail anymore (an old DM and mentor of mine. Runs Greyhawk campaigns. May or may not be running a game.)
Lastly, there's my own game. Unfortunately, I don't have room for more than 6 players at the moment. However, one of my players may have to quit soon now that he's about to graduate from the police academy and begin full time with LVMPD. You can always send me an e-mail at sgreer@lvcoxmail.com and keep in touch.
Hope that helps.
Edit: Thought of one other lead as well. I just met an older chap at the Kinko's on 4th Street downtown by the name of Bob Ash. He mentioned that he runs a game as well when I was in there earlier this week getting some new initiative cards laminated (said he uses the same cards). He was really, really nice and seemed like a pleasant guy to play some D&D with.
