I hate to drudge up this old subject again, but when I saw that Paizo has a new book (collection of the ecology articles) coming out, well... hope sparks eternal.
The previous thought was that WotC was not likely to, nor had they, greenlighted this project because it would be competition against their current batch of adventure products. But certainly an ecology book is competition (of a sort) for their monster books and this was green lighted?!?!
Could it be that this heralds a green light for an AoW AP HC?
