1st level one - on - one adventures

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

I am planning on running XPR Gambler's Quest for my wife, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a 1st level 1 on 1 adventure focused on the thief class, just to start off. If it works I am planning on running her through their thief based adventures as an adventure path of sorts.

Here it is again:

Thief'S Challenge

I also once played MadGodsKey which, with a few adjustments, went pretty well!

I can't think of any 1st-level one on one adventures (except ones I sometimes designed for a friend), but it made me remember the good old Fighting Fantasy novels released by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingston. I actually got up to number 54 of those before I stopped purchasing them. Shortly after that the book-line came to an end.

Sounds like the thievery 101 line might be just perfect for you!

They're for one-on-one play and the first one (Joining the watchers) is great, well worth the five bucks I thought. Haven't played the one that came after that, though.

Oh, I used to read those too, back in the day - Warlock of Firetop Mountain and Island of the Lizard King were probably what got me into Dungeons and Dragons.

Two that might be able to be adapted as good one-on-one thief type adventures are City of Thieves and Midnight Rogue (probably the latter over the former).
