Savage Tide Adventure Path

Liberty's Edge

I've only done a brief read of this so far, but this looks it's really one heck of an adventure. XD

I love the full page art on page 54, but what is that Far-Realmsian looking critter in the picture being attacked by the naked deinonychus supposed to be?

I think that's a wastrilith demon.

I agree, this one looks cool. I think the julajimus is going to have a few things to say about who should be added to the obituary thread. :)

I agree!

SPOILERS!!!!

I also think that when the Aspect of Demogorgon pulls the "switcheroo" with the wastrilith, MANY unsuspecting PCs will perish horribly. Especially if it teleports back after fast healing for a few rounds to help out his demonic buddy. Brutal! <DM giggles with insane glee>

I had to double check the wastrilith's description in the Fiend Folio because the picture there is completely different (it's also completely different than how the wastrilith is described, but y'know).

I've got to say that I really like Dungeon's depiction a whole lot better. It's much more creepy.

The question is: do Wastriliths have anything in common with Wastri?

BTW This is a joke question. All hail the Hopping Prophet! Wastri! Wastri! Wastri!

Please, oh please let this issue be waiting for me when I get home tonight! I'm so jazzed to check out the next installment.

Wha-! There's a-!

Oh, holy crap! I NEED my issue to be in the mail today. ::please, please, please::
I tried to slip a julajimus into an adventure I was working on that later became DCC 38, Escape from the Forest of Lanterns, but I took it out because it just didn't fit. I've been hoping to see one either in print or get the chance to write one into one of my own since then. This makes me... so... EXCITED! Can't wait to see the treatment they gave that nasty baboon boy!

Oh, they do a great job!

SPOILER!!!

Plus, the way the julajimus gets the jump on the PCs should be one of the most memorable scenes in the STAP. Especially if any of the players are dog owners. ;-)

"Here boy...here boy. Awww, what's a handsome boy like you doin way out he-- HOLY *#$@!!!" <followed by wet ripping noises and harsh crunching sounds>

LOL! Awesome!

hhahah, yeah to quote a player:

"Rule nr 1 -if its cute, lovable and just wants to be hugged, then blast it with everything you got"

..too many instances of succubi faking to be prisoners, lol

Oh my...a Julajimus did you say? This sounds awesome! I really didn't want to read the spoilers, where's my ISSUE!!! I was going to add a Julajimus for my own version but quite couldn't decide how to fit It. I like the sound of the Demogorgon and Wastrilith switcheroo(can't wait to see what that's about)? Also Intrested to see what the Wastrilith looks like, needed a makeover anyway. Actually I was hoping to see a few Gambols In the adventure(MM2 108). Big Nasty Baboons on steroids. Okay more spoilers.

I just got mine yesterday, and I smell a TPK in this one. There are so many creatures that are going to be absolute murder for any party. The julajimi is just downright cruel the way it gets a drop on the party. The aspect of Demo is also just unreal. It has a special ability that all but assures the party is going to have to fight him at full strength at least twice. Even once is going to be enough to put a serious hurting on the group.
