There's also a really really good X-files episode called "Monday", that deals with the same idea but in a much more haunting, hellish sort of way. A woman is trapped in a relationship with a loser who every day goes into a bank to rob it, strapped with a bomb. Every time he ends up blowing up both himself and a whole lot of people (including Mulder and Scully) and she wakes up to relive the whole thing every single day.

Agh! You terrible people! I've been working on a query embracing the same concept. Now I've been scooped and my "surprising originality" is blown. Grump, grump, groan, groan. Gotta be fast in this business!
Just kidding about the terrible people thing. That's one of my favorite movies and a favorite X-Files episode. There are other good twists on the idea out there in books, short-stories, and even a surprisingly solid episode of Charmed. Good ideas, it seems, aren't all that original after all.

Also reminds me of the scene in the magic shop in the "Life Serial" episode of Buffy. All she has to do is satisfy a customer to break the loop....how hard can it be? XD
I say go for it. I would love to run an adventure like that for my group, watch 'em go nuts trying to figure it out. Actually, a friend of mine ran an adventure like that not too long ago with a mysterious ghost castle that had reappeared after a thousand years...not much in the hack-n-slash department, but a fun roleplaying romp for the whole group.

Hi
Several years ago, I watched movie Groundhog day. It would be cool to see adventure, which would be related to idea of movie. Maybe could add three part adveture, where are three days :)
Basic idea is, you live same day again and again...

I think an element of this has been incorporated into an adventure a while ago in Dungeon... the adventure has a tomb inhabited by a time elemental. And there's a trap that turns you to a child.
The name of this adventure escapes me, tho. It was 1E, so it was a while ago.

OK, just checked my index, and I'll wager it's Hitch In Time, issue 24.
