Pretty sure Dungeon does not usually do this, but since Nicolas Logue seemed so intense about this NPC, I was wondering if we could or if we would learn more about her?
For instance, her past, events that may have defined her and made her into the pirate captain she is today.
She is a well crafted and intruiging NPC but because of the events in Bullywug Gambit, not a lot has been revealed on her and I somehow doubt much else will be in the future.
I would like to develop this character more and if I don't have official stuff for her, I will have to invent it but I was curious about what Nicolas and other dungeon contributors know about her.

Not only does Harliss make a return to the STAP (in SoS I think), but I do believe she will also grace the cover of that particular issue of Dungeon as well! I'm sure we'll get some juicy background in that adventure, and possibly in the Scuttlecove backdrop too.
Patience...failing...
Excitement...too much!!! ;P

Harliss is indeed the cover girl for issue #146, the issue we're just now wrapping up and for which I'm headed over to Wizards of the Coast in 3 hours to get approved for print.
There's a fair bit more information about what she's been up to since Bullywug Gambit in this issue, as well as an updated stat block (she's gained a few levels).
SPOILERS to follow...

Harliss is a mercenary captain who signed on with the Crimson Fleet to aid in the delivery of a shadow pearl to Sasserine. She didn't really realize what she was getting into, and when the pearl went off and ruined her crew and allies at Kraken's Cove, she realized that the Crimson Fleet was up to something more than smuggling jewels. Her primary motivation in "Serpents of Scuttlecove" is revenge against the Crimson Fleet, and the adventure assumes that she'll team up with the PCs to do so. Of course... nothing in D&D is that easy, so expect some trouble along the way in the adventure...
