Dragon delivery vs Dungeon delivery

Customer Service

What exactly is the problem with delivering Dragon compared to delivering Dungeon?

My Dungeon subscription always comes within the first week, or mid-way through the second week of the month, but my Dragon subscription OFTEN doesn't arrive until the first or second week of the FOLLOWING month!?

For example, I received my December issue of Dungeon mid-way through the second week of November, which is about when it should come, but I STILL haven't received my Dec issue (#350) of Dragon. I don't know if I should ask for a replacement issue or not.

The last time this happened, (last month) I waiting until the first week of the next month to ask for a replacement issue, and then the proper subscription issue arrive a few days later (but more than half-a-month late). The replacement issue I requested took almost another month to get to me.

I don't think it's because I'm in Canada, because the Dungeon subscription always comes on time, so what gives? If it weren't for the price difference, it would be more convenient for me to go to the store.

Are you taking into account that they're not published at the same time? I generally get Dragon two or three weeks after Dungeon, which is what I'd expect. Check "My Subscriptions" for shipping dates.

I am aware that they are printed at different times, but just as the December issue of Dungeon arrive in November, the December issue of Dragon should _also_ arrive in November, not half-way into December! i could have purchased the December issue of Dragon half a month ago in the store, but I have to wait for it to arrive _late_ by subscription. Again.

I just looked at my subscription details. It no longer shows me the information for the December issue (350), but it _does_ show me that my January issue (351) SHIPPED NOVEMBER 28th!!! So, not only has my JANUARY issue _already_ shipped (apparently) but my December issue STILL ISN'T HERE!

I don't want to ask for a replacement copy yet, because the last time i did that the regular issue arrived late. This keeps happening and it's making me very mad.

Can someone in Customer service tell me when my Dragon issue 350 shipped?

Is there some reason my Dragon magazine is continually delayed when my Dungeon magazine isn't?

Dragon 350 shipped on November 7. Please note that all subscriber copies ship on the same day.

I'm afraid that we don't know what is causing the discrepency. Dragon and Dungeon are shipped from the same location using the same procedures and shipping method.

Well, the site shows my copy of Dungeon shipped NOV 14th and I still had not gotten it as of yesterday, so it's not a Ttitle driven thing ..... I'm just hoping I get the issue soon :(

So, if my Dragon issue #350 shipped Nov 7, how long _should_ it take (normally) to get to me here in Oakville, Ontario, Canada (just next to Toronto)?

Would it be an issue with Canada Customs?

Paizo Employee Director of Sales

Subscribers' issues should arrive at US addresses within two weeks of the ship date, while Canadian subscribers can expect their issues within three weeks of the ship date. Dungeon issue #142 was shipped three weeks ago today.

However, postal holidays will extend these shipping expectations for up to a week.

Therefore as we just had Thanksgiving, logophylia, if you have not seen your magazine by the end of this week you should let us know and we will get a replacement sent out. Deimodius, we'll need to give your magazine another week. If it has not shown up by the end of next week, please let us know.

Thanks!

So, you're saying that, on average, I will have to wait 5 weeks for delivery of Dragon magazine?

Why does it take so long to get my Dragon magazine, but not Dungeon... regularly?

Maybe you missed this:

That's probably the best answer you're going to get, unless you just want speculation. It can be a long, strange trip from the printer to your mailbox.

I didn't quite read it that way, but during the holiday season at least, yes: you should wait five weeks before asking for a replacement.

Another data point, in case it helps you: I've only had to request a replacement issue once (and the problem turned out to be my own stupidity). The issue arrived very promptly, which makes sense since it would not have been shipped in bulk with the other bundles. So, if your replacement issue took a month to reach you, that probably means your regular subscription deliveries will take a while too. Maybe you're getting Dungeon early. :-)

Actually, looking through my order history, I've had to order replacement issues 7 times. 6 of those were for Dragon (only 1 for Dungeon obviously).

Perhaps your postal carrier reads Dragon, but not Dungeon? I'm only kind of kidding—your experiences merit you having a talk with your post office. We're not doing anything differently between the two.

Vic, as I mentioned in a previous post, I have sent an email to the post office through their customer service dept. and I am awaiting a response.

I just hope this doesn't turn into one of those things where one company blames the other, and vice versa with no one taking responsibility.

I would be interested in knowing if mine is a unique experience, or if there are many others with the same problem.

If I don't receive my Dragon by Dec 14, I will ask for a replacement copy.

Thanks
