I have to thank my DM!
I am having such a great time playing it is wonderful.
One of my characters just got back from hell trying to save another character.
When we got back the people we were trying to stop take over the world (Kenku)
Had done just that taken over the world.
Well in hell we happen to pick up the last steel dragon egg in this world.
And find an ancient army of elves and beast human things that want to follow us because we freed them from the goddess Ratri. Which we killed!
So now were off to safe this world it’s the best!
I mean I only summarized it but the story lines and character personalities and the twists and turns and all the secrets

IT’S THE BEST.

So I wanted to thank all the DMs out there who put hard work to there games because it has made my week!

I also wanted to hear about what you guys are doing in your game that makes your DM so great!

Reading that made me feel really happy.

We need a DM's day. Like Boss's day. We can give our DM's mugs with quaint D&D jokes on them and pass around cards to sign.

And then Hallmark will get their hands on it and it will be all downhill from there.

I thought DM's day was game night? :P For my birthday, my players got me one of those big red plush d20s. It's awesome. My hubby and I have used it for making decisions before we go out the door. "Barnes and Noble or Best Buy first?" "Roll for it!"

I drink wine coolers. I bet that doesn't go over well in Texas.

Not unless you're a chick! But more people here drink "BUDlite" (as it's locally pronounced) than Shiner. Shiner, by the way, like Texas wine, is vehemently thought by Texans to represent the pinnacle of the brewer's (/vintner's) art, and thought by everyone from outside of Texas to be horrid swill.

You should try Tui.........make 'bud' taste like a chicks drink!

I'll have to try it. I usually go with Sam Adams Boston Ale; Bud always tasted like water to me.

Now, as a wine-expert and a non-native Texan, I would have to say that there are some slightly decent Tejas vinos, and Shiner is great, especially when Coors or Bud Lite is the alternative, as it so often was a t neighborhood BBQ's. Texas' burgeoning wine industry (Fredricksburg) is one of the reasons I have considered moving back.

In fact, in the spirit of the thread, if either of my current DM's (who I will say for the sake of the thread are awesome) *bites tongue* come and visit me when I do move, I will buy them a Shiner Bock straightaway.

Hey, get back on track, you guys...I want to read more about how great DMs are :)

Can I talk about how great I am? *big cheese-eatin' grin*

My favorite DM of all time is a guy I did Ren-faires with, who used to create the best Dragon encounters. While the campaign was a bit one dimensional (basically all dragon-hunting) it was fun as a tactical exercise and always challenging.

He had this collection of index cards with individual dragons statted out that he would mix and match to create horrifically challenging dragon lairs with multiple beasts of scaling (NPI) power...Thanks Josiah!

Was there ever a great DM who was not fueled by an equally great beer? (Well, our throats get dry from reading all that boxed text, you know...)
