Thanks, that is a great idea. I thought about copying the Class Acts out of the mags, but that way I can just look into your list and look for what I want to know. The Dragondex is a useful reference as well, but filtering out the information you need can be time-consuming there. So, a list like yours is very helpful.

Stefan

Dude. Thanis Kartaleon, you get a cookie. I have a database of this information on my computer here, but that doesn't help anyone else in the universe except me. So these lists are very appreciated. Thanks much!

(You can call in that cookie if we ever meet in person. Just remind me, because I'll forget.) :)

Wait - are you saying the platypus I included in the article is unusual? What's so unusual about the platypus? :P

Well, obviously I was referring to the crow and the dog. What the heck are those? ;P

Thanis, now you have started something: I will use your list as an index and just started copying the Class Acts out of the Dragons to collect them in a "Tome of Class Acts". And I started copying other interesting articles as well, like Core Beliefs and Demonomicon. So the office copier is running hot already :-)

Thanks again.

Stefan

Glad to be an inspiration :-) Perhaps next I'll post an index of Dungeon adventures by level and possibly type, though I have only been a Dungeon subscriber since Erik took the reins...

Cheeky, but can someone be more specific on the Psionic Psicrystal Substitution article? I'm very interested.

It's written by Bruce "Father of Third-Edition Psionics" Cordell.

What else could you possibly need to know? :D

Thanis - you are awesome.

Hal is a machine! (That's totally meant as a compliment.) There's a really good reason why he's the #1 Class Acts contributor. :)

Yeah, because you keep rejecting my ideas! :P

Thanks Hal! I only thought of adding in the contributor name after I posted this first one - you'll notice I remembered on the other ones I put up. Oh, and keep on contributing - good stuff!

I see I've been capitalizing your name wrong... Didn't help that your name is always spelled in all caps in the magazine... ;-)

To be fair, I keep rejecting everyone's ideas. Even Hal's. ;)

Meh. He's okay, I guess.

I did give him another chance in #348, though. Of course, he's collaborating in that one, so the level of the writing is muchly improved. ;)

Way to go Hal.

And it has nothing at all to do with those incriminating pictures?

In truth Amber should have the most but for some reason she insists upon spreading them out amongst all those pseudonyms. It's pretty much an open secret that anyone with an "e" as a middle initial is actually one of her guises.

I mean come on, "John E. Ling Jr., Troy E. Taylor"...? Who does she think she's kidding with names like that?

:)

As the proud author of two Class Acts now, I know how much work goes into writing those "easy" 1400 words. Talk about earning your nickel a word! Great job, all you prolific Class Act writers. I haven't even started on my next one, I'm having "idea block."

No slur on the middle initial "E" intended :) I was making a reference to the old pulp tradition of writing under multiple pseudonyms (often with some common characteristic like a middle initial). Sometimes Heinlein all but filled up an issue on his own.

Over all I think Amber writes the most interesting stuff so it was a (slightly oblique) tip of the hat to her as well as you and John. :)

Agreed.

I didn't know that about pulp writers ... and I do take it as a tip of the hat to be considered to be Amber's alter ego ... so long as I still get the checks. :)

Actually, there is a photo of John, Amber and I all in the same place at the same time ... it was the "Writing for Dungeon" seminar at GenCon 2005.
