Hey you guys are great when it comes to information and great ideas and have always either helped me or made me laugh so I wanted to take it to you guys for my next project. I am making a new character class for my 4th level Chaotic Evil Fighter (who calls him self the Lord of Lies Vincent Von Drake) who is a Champion of the Evil God Aroich. The things I want for sure are High Hit points And High Base Attack (same as fighter) but with a little flare to the class. Nothing likes a Blackguard where the character radiates evil and controls fiends and undead more along the lines of like a fighter type cleric with out healing spells or the controlling of undead. You see I don’t know what I want to do with him but I want something completely new and original and you guys are the best! I am open to anything and I really want to see what you guys put together adding ideas, but remember this is a champion of Aroich “God of Chaos”.

In my current campaign, one og the PC's asked for almost the same thing: a martial class, in this case a prestige class, that accentuates and expands the capabilities af his character's particularly unique style. The idea was trashed because he changed his "style", however it was an awesome class: The Bladefiend. As an experienced DM, I say that it is your DM's responsibility to help you with this, and he shouldn't be uncooperative.

If he is an acolyte of a Chaos god, give him abils that are associated with chaos. Maybe give him a fear aura, or maybe the power to drive people insane with rage or confusion. How about a system of combat that allows you to animate objects on a whim. Okay he's evil, so he's a little depraved. Give him the ability to use his blood, or others' blood to do frightening things. That could strike fear in the hearts of do-gooders the world round!

I'd pattern it heavly after the Barbarian, since they are basically chaotic warriors in the first place with a good fighting progression and the rage ability which seems like it would work well for you. I could see special abilities producing effects like displacement, entropic shield or mirror image as appropriate for a god of chaos--possibly working on some kind of uses per day model.

well i would but i dont have that book yet i have alot but not that one or i would look at it do you know a place were i could check it out right now without having the book?
The material in Unearthed Arcana is open license, so you can find it on the web. www.d20srd.org would have it, I think. I'd check, but that site is blocked on my work computer. It's under variant classes, or optional rules, or something of that sort.

And, if we're currently mentioning pre-existing classes, I'll put in a suggestion for taking two more levels of fighter, and following it up with Chaotician out of the Planar Handbook. It's a five level prestige class that should give you the supernatural warrior feel that you're looking for, without taking you too far off the basic melee combatant path.

ohhhh i feel dumb but yeah thanks man
Naah, who cares. It's a made up word anyway, I think.
Okay.Elric worked for Arioch (for a while anway...)
Arioch gave Elric magic aid.
Essentially necromancy type stuff (Elric would call, "blood and souls for Arioch, who would show up and do his thing).
I'm thinking same-level necromantic draining-type spell abilities, same levels as a paladin gets his spell levels.
Then, Arioch hooks him up with magic weapons and armor every once in a while. Perhaps gives cleric-type enhancement spells to weapons and armor. Or a jacked up fiendish horse or something.
Eventually, the guy can call an avatar of Arioch to consume his foes, but that's epic level crud right there.

well, you could make him a Necropolitan and get a d12 hps and some decent undead powers; Libre Mortis has some other good ideas like this; also, book of Vile darkness has some stuff as Arioch is very evil. Seems I have seens some very good examples of character classes already that would fit this idea; other than Elric and some other Moorcock references; we have very little to go on about what Arioch looks for in a champion.

Guys this stuff is great keep going with the ideas i have to do something but in about an hour or two im starting the class making process so please anyhting else would help but you guys have given me alot to think about thank you
Chaos Knight:
Level 1: Hand of Chaos: Weapon in Hand is treated as Chaotic - doing an addtional 1d6 to lawful creatures
Level 3: Cloak of Chaos: Basically blink there is a random chance (5% every other level for 10 levels to a max of 25%) that any attack directed at the knight missies
Level 5: Speak to Dead: As the spell once per day every other chaos knight level - effort leaves knight exhaused for 1 hour after and fatigued for one hour after that
Level 7: Mask of Lies: Gains a bonus on bluff and sense motive equal to his chaos knight level.
Level 10: Fates Foul Hand: Any weapon wielded by a chaos knight is charged so that on a successful hit the target creature is cursed sos that all saves are at -2 for a number of rounds equal to the points of damage, subsequent hits do not further reduce the saves but do increase the duratin of the effect. A critical hit reduces the target creatures armor class and attack rolls by -2 as well.
Lawful weapons do 1.5 times normal damage
Diplomacy checks made versus lawful creatures are at a minus equal to the characters knight level
The Arioch I remember would like a guy like that - its dark but more emphasis on chaos than evil.
Hope that helps.

Something else you might want to look into is the Mountebank base class from the Dragon Compendium. Medium base attack, but lots of cool evil powers like hypnotic eyes, a sneak-attack-like ability, dimension door, stuff like that. I've never played an evil PC before, but as a DM I have wanted to use this guy as a villain since I got the book.
