I recently purchased several Full Metal Fantasy miniatures through order #664144 and I wanted to know since I couldn't find a description anywhere else, do these miniatures REQUIRE the miniature bases in order to stand on their own? If so, could I add an order of the 30mm Privateer Press miniatures bases to my order? Also, do these miniatures COME painted or do I have to do that myself? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The minis come unpainted, but include bases.

Awesome. Thanks for the response. Due to some last-minute changes that have been sprung on me, could I make a change to the order before it gets shipped out? I would like to remove Valeria Alvaro, Ordic Pistoleer from the order and replace her with the Harlan Phineas Versh mini from the same line. Thanks again!

Fantastic! Paizo comes through again! I look forward to getting these minis and I'm sure my Iron Kingdoms players will be thrilled! Now, just need to wait for the next paycheck to order some paints! ;)

You know the "offical" minatures that are sold on Paizo are

1.plastic and hence not as heavy(important when you have around 200 of the suckers-trust me I know) and they dont break if you drop them-again I know).

2. They come with a base AND they are painted (if you dont have the time or pateince to do that -again like me).

3. They are based on pics found in the gamebooks.

4. They are ALOT cheeper when you consider what you pay for the paints, stands, brushes etc.

Just a thought

What do you mean by the 'official' miniatures? I would prefer painted minis, but I don't mind having to paint them. It allows for more customization. As for the weight of pewter vs. plastic, I don't plan to ever need more than 6 minis at a time since I'm only using minis for the PCs and other things (dice, pretzels, pennies, etc.) for monsters and NPCs.

I believe that refers to the official D&D Miniatures by Wizards of the Coast.

Fatespinner is playing Iron Kingdoms, so the "official" minis for that line are the unpainted metal ones he's buying. (And they're pretty nice, too. Those folks at Privateer know what they're doing.)

Painting minis is fun! Once you get set up, let us know if you have any painting questions. I have lots of tips. :)

With the D&D Official Minis mentioned above how do you know what you are getting? I understand that they are random but I would like to pick up some PC type pre-painted minis. Looking not to break the bank either...

Paizo also sells the D&D Minis as singles, so you can pick the exact figures you want.
