Guild politics and effects on PCS

My group (playing SCAP) is considering starting an 'adventurers Guild. They want to offer varous bonuses for others to join and in exchange have guild dues and everything from money lending to equipment for sale to training and on and on...

An article detailing how other guilds and shops might react or even fluff about other guilds that i could draw on or use as a mold or template of sorts would be great. Also taxes and billing and what not: cost of the building, upkeep..

If anyone knows of a resource I could use, I'd much appreciate the info.

This is a pretty good idea! I'd like to see an article on guilds in general. How to establish a guild, how relationships between different guilds could develop, why to start a guild in the first place and so on. This could be quite interesting...
