Savage Tide Map Request

I would like to put in a request. I've read that the PCs will have a ship of their own in Savage Tide.

Can you (Paizo) provide miniatures-scale maps of the upper and lower decks of the ship? That would totally rock for any encounters that occur while at sea.

Where did you read they would get a ship of their own? One of my players is already talking Dread Pirate which has a requirement of having a ship. Without knowing more about the AP I told it might not be a good fit.

We'll be giving a more detailed outline of Savage Tide in issue #138, but until then, it's not a huge spoiler to reveal that the PCs will indeed gain their own ship. And it will indeed have a miniatures-scale map.

That is a great help, it will be so much easier to help my PCs decide what they wish to play now :) Mind you as we are just about to start Secrets of the Soul Pillars in AP1, and most likely won't start AP2 AoW until January 2007 I guess we are always going to be one AP behind :(

Not a battle map per se, but that might interest some here, as long as you have a cutter and some glue:

For the DnD minitures fans out there will this map be leagel for Skumish play like the drow outpost map from a while back??

The miniatures-scale map of the ship will not be designed for D&D minis.

Rob Lazzaretti is doing the maps for Savage Tide; we just recently got in the maps for the first adventure and the backdrop and they're amazing. The city map of Sasserine alone is pretty awe-inspiring.
