We've just announced a new book, The Art of Dragon Magazine.

This 160-page full-color tome will feature classic art from Dragon's 30-year archive of talent. It's scheduled for an October 15 release, and will retail for $34.95.

A limited, leatherbound edition of the Art of Dragon Magazine will be available as an exclusive for Gen Con Indy 2006; non-attendees will be able to order the Gen Con exclusive at paizo.com for a limited period in the near future. Details on limited-edition sales will be announced at a later date.

You can preorder the regular edition now!

I've corrected the announcement above with the following text:

Even better.

Next week, we're planning to set the print run of the Art of Dragon Limited Edition, and, unless sales go through the roof this weekend, it looks like that number is going to be 200 copies.

That's extremely rare for an official D&D book, folks—and, unless you preordered it at the Paizo booth at Gen Con last month, the *only* way to get it now is directly from paizo.com. So if you're thinking about it, I'd encourage you to think fast.

As the guy who's been neck-deep in this project for the last month, holy gods is it going to be a beautiful book. The amount of absolutely stunning work this magazine has produced in 30 years is mind-boggling when viewed all at once.

I can't wait for this to come out.

Grr. I need a Summon Fifty Dollars spell.

cool. I have the old softbound "Art of Dragon Magazine", the one that covered issues #1-#100, as well as the "Art of AD&D" and "Art of Dungeons and Dragons" and "Art of the Dragonlance Saga", and "The Worlds of TSR"... I should add the new one to the collection....
