Dragon 341 early?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

Scarab Sages

Was it jsut me, or did #341 hit the newsstands ahead of schedule? I went to Barnes and Noble this saturday (11 Feb) thinking to only pick up the new Dungeon. Then, what did my wondering eyes behold.. this very issue of Dragon! SWEET!

Liberty's Edge

I don't know about the news stands
but Dragon#341 was early this time
around, got mine on friday(10th).

the only thing I can think of to
explain this is that so many subscribers
were up in arms about recieving #340 so
late last month, I beleive that someone
said that thier's came a few days after
the magazine appeared on the news stand.

game on

well, subscribers already had it last week. at least it's a lot earlier than last month. :)

Hm, I haven't gotten my 341 yet.

Strange...

As much as we'd love to say that we're responsible, we haven't changed anything - it's just normal variance in delivery times. Sometimes it works for us, sometimes it works against us.

Ditto - probably because I'm anxious to get this one. ;)

I haven't either. I usually get mine by the 13th or 14th at the latest.

Vic, is there a certain date I should wait for before I ask for another one to be sent?

YAY!! Mine came today! Now I get to see my article, and the blurb about my article next month!

If you're in the US, it's officially late now, but replacement copies won't go out again until Tuesday - so let us know if it doesn't arrive Monday.

Yeah I'm in Rhode Island. I'll watch the mail today and Monday and if it doesn't arrive I'll contact paizo. Which email would I contact then?

Hey, watch it arrive later today or something now. Ha. We'll see.

I guarantee you it won't arrive Monday - it's President's Day. ;)

Ah, true.

So you've written an article for this month's magazine? That's great. And another for next month?

What's the topic? Have you done any before? I really want to submit some things.

Thanks. I'm sharing an article this month with Oliver Diaz. The article introduces 14 new familiars, and provides some background reasons why a wizard/sorcerer might select that familiar.

Three, actually. ;)

A feature that presents Initiate feats (I won't say more since that's all the blurb in 341 says), a Bazaar of the Bizarre article, and a Class Act article - though I still don't know which Class Act. ;)

This month's article is my 8th.

Jump in with both feet, and don't look back! It's fun (most of the time), and you'll find the entire staff (both Dragon and Dungeon) willing to help you improve. Download the guidelines, come up with some ideas, and fire off some e-mails. There's a thread over in the "Article Request" forum by Mike McArtor that explains what he is and is not looking for currently in Class Act articles. It's a good place to start.

Good luck with your submissions. And I hope you enjoy the stuff I wrote. :)

Thanks for the info. I'll be looking into your articles and the rest when I finally get my copy, heh. I have to email the dragon staff about getting a new copy sent.

I'll go look into article request and see what I come up with. Thanks again.

found it at Borders yesterday, bought it, and greedily ran home with it. :)

I got my copy just yesterday.

In the blending of american and canadian postal services lies madness, and a jerk who opened and damaged issue 339 before sending it along almost two months late (whereas one month is the norm).
