Wielding a weapon two handed

3.5/d20/OGL

Can a character use a exotic one-handed weapon with both hands and receive the 1.5 ST bonus? I say they can because the rules don't forbid it.
Also, when a 4 level character (Fighter/Rogue)uses two weapons, even with the Two-Handed Weapon feat, they still do not get their full ST bonus to both attacks, they get full ST bonus with first atk and no bonus with second atk, right?

I believe that with two weapon fighting, you get full strength bonus with your primary hand and half strength bonus with your off-hand attack. I didn't look this up but I believe it's right.

yes, as long as it it not a light weapon. AFAIK any one handed non-light weapon can be weilded 2-handed to get the extra bonus.

I am pretty sure that it would be 1xstr bonus on the first hand, and .5xstr bonus on the other hand, just like any other two weapon fighting.

I know that the rules say that only 1/2 st bonus is applied during an attack with the second (Notice I did not use the stupid term 'off') hand; however I dump that rule based on a few things...Is the character Ambidexterous (Yes I kept that) is the weapon in the second hand lighter then the one in his first hand. Fortunatly for me the rules are only a guideline.

Correct, with the exception of the rapier, a one-handed weapon you cannot two-hand. And presumably any similar weapon (such as an elven thinblade).

You are correct: a character with a weapon in each hand gets his full STR bonus to damage with his primary weapon, but only half his STR bonus (rounded down) to damage with his secondary weapon. His class has nothing to do with it, unless you are using a prestige class or something similar which has a special ability that counteracts the normal two-weapon fighting rules.

Please note that the adjusted STR bonus is only changed regarding damage. A character with a +3 bonus to STR adds +3 to his BAB to both attack rolls, and this is not changed by wielding two weapons. Instead, to adjust his attack roll, you use the standard penalties for Two-Weapon Fighting illustrated in the PH, modified by any pertinent Feats the character may have.
