Waterdeep: City of Splendors - web enhancement for AoW?

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Just curious if anyone might know when the "hinterlands of Waterdeep" Web enhancement from WotC might be posted to their site? (Or did I just dream this up on my own, and I'm hopefully awaiting something that hasn't even been planned? ;-)

WotC just posted a WE on their site with a big list of the "Nobles of Waterdeep," but I was seriously hoping that the first WE for Waterdeep would be the hinterlands.

Having a Waterdeep "hinterlands" WE would be really, really helpful for the Realms adaptation of the Age of Worms. I have a vague memory that someone said the hinterlands would be made as a WotC WE... but if I've completely fabricated the idea, what might be the best way to request this from WotC?

While you may have drunk to many lizardfolk potions, a Waterdeep hinterlands WE is indeed in the works and not the product of a fevered imagination. I hope it will appear soon, and it will briefly detail a lot of locations in the region surrounding the City of Splendors (called the Waterdeep region in the FRCS). It does not discuss Daggerford, but it does discuss the lands around the town.

Cool, thanks! It really would be great to see an update of the Waterdeep region (some of the small towns nearby, that kind of thing) since 2nd Edition. (I accidentally drank that one lizardfolk potion and I've been a little hazy for the past few days... but it's great to know that I didn't dream this up entirely. ;-)

Incidentally, the WE for the nobility of Waterdeep is excellent to have also! For my AoW campaign I've got a couple players who want to play non-inheriting children of noble houses (semi-rowdy adventuring types), and I've been wondering about how things may have changed with the nobles since the 2nd Edition materials were published. My players and I love all of the background info on the Realms, and they dig really detailed histories for both NPCs and their characters.

Hi again... thought I'd resurrect this. Wondering if you've heard an ETA for this? 'tis fondly anticipated! :-)

Huh? I guess I missed something here...

On another note:

Where is that Web Enhancement???!?!?

I assume that Eric, as a freelancer, does not have any influence on the date it comes out. So maybe we should go nag over at the WotC Boards??

I have no idea why it's taking so long.

Thanks for stopping by, Eric. I saw your post over at Candlekeep and know that you're doing your best to get WotC to put the thing out. Thanks for that!

I don't know what's going on with WotC these days but they are getting cheap on the Web Enhancement side... I remember some time (not so long ago), where I would download the WE before the book hit the shelves (or nearly so).

I hope it comes out soon...

Was this Web Enhancement canceled? I just started AoW and was hoping to use it in my game! Anyone know what happened to it?

I for one am thrilled that WotC takes a long time with their web enhancements. :)

*cough*
looks at the postition of the moon, the raise of the sun, scratches beard and consults dragon 340 to ascertain time and date of said Web enhancement...
*cough*
now I'm not sure if it is in your power, whether you even have acces to the material or even if it is in the corporate rules but.. If the material for the enhancement is produced by guys at Dungeon perhaps you could add it to the Dungeon website downloads or similar if there is no pressure to put on WoC "what are your subscribers complaining about, they got 1 web enhancement for city of splendors"

heh, i'd take a rich text file on a ftp server or kazaa :p

Or... could Eric B. maybe give us a li'l teaser about the contents? I'm curious if it's mostly updated 1st / 2nd ed material, or if it's mostly new material? Even if he could give a wee hint about the pre-edit turnover, that'd be cool. Or would that be verboten? :-)

A lot of it is an update of a few pages in City of Splendors [2e] and the Dragon article (#127 or #128) that preceded it. I also dug out some obscure sites from other products and brought them in and created some new sites of my own. It's been so long since it was mentioned that I'm worried folks have made it out to be more critical to Age of Worms than it is. It's simply a regional chapter for the Waterdeep area that might be of interest to a DM designing side treks in the Daggerford area.

Cool, thanks! :-)

Giving this post a bump because i still haven't got my web-hancment :p
