Seeing as I have -100 in any craft skill, I was wondering if there was a place I can get a picture for a character for a low fee (read free).
Well, I don't know about for free - but kyle hunter (whose contact info is around here somewhere if you look hard enough) has posted in the past that he'll do those sorts of things for a modest fee.
He did an absolutely lovely illustration for me as an anniversary gift for my husband, and I found his rates quite reasonable.

That's the coolest idea I've heard of, Ashavan!! My wife is totally into her centaur wizard character in the SCAP and that would make an awesome present for her!! ....(gotta go return circular saw & vaccuum cleaner) (Just kidding)

Go to Wizards.com or wizards of the coast look for character portraits... you have to browse each catagory... and its free

You might want to check out http://www.elfwood.com It's a website where individual artist post their stuff. I'm pretty sure i've seen some of the artist mention commision work.
