My players recently found the Fiendish Foot. I think the item's text is slightly ambiguous as to its curse. Does anyone carrying the foot fall under the curse (and start to become vampire-like), or must the character do something more?
The text says the curse works "if a humanoid or monstrous humanoid claims the fiendish foot as his own." In your opinion, does that mean picking it up, using it, or making a verbal claim?
