Request: How about the 'other' classes?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

I was perusing the latest Dragon and was reading the usual presentation for the basic core classes when I realized that PSIONICS are now part of the D&D standard world of Eberron. There are also base classes in the other books, such as the Complete Warrior, et al.

How about adding one more section: the OTHER classes. You'd only have to do one article per issue, but it could be about those other classes. Namely, I think there would be much joy if there was something on psionics in that "Other Classes" section. It surely would add depth to the game and add a lot more intersting features to your magazine. It would definately be something breakthrough, it would get DM's and players thinking, and also would show that you encompass the whole of D&D. Each month really would be a pleasant surprise.

BTW, Erik, I'm happy to see you at the helm.

I agree, this would be awsome and make those classes more acceptable and more in-depth for gaming. This idea goes along with a couple other threads in here I believe....

I absolutely agree. I think the other classes need support aswell.

I concur. Dragon caters to a wide audience of D&D players and DMs, and although it could be argued that psionics are not mainstream D&D, I doubt very many people could argue with at the minimum a quarterly article to support this system.

although I am not a big psionics fan, I would defintaly support this idea if it meant that we would get to see an article on say the Hexblade, Warlock, or Favored Soul from time to time :)

We are not unsympathetic to this request. At this time we have no intention of increasing Class Acts beyond the 11 core-rule base classes.

However!

That said, we are not opposed to running the occasional feature that supports non-core-rule base classes. I, for one, would like to see support for the ninja core class presented in Complete Adventurer. ;)

I agree. Don't do Class Acts for non-standerd classes, but please do feature articles for other classes.
