We tried this scenario three times with Agna, Radillo and Lem and failed every time. We added Tarlin to the mix, and we passed pretty easily. I think the suggested party size of 4 made the difference.

Katina - They were not in the shipping box, nor were they in the adventure box. I opened the card packs too, just in case, and they weren't there either. I know you all have been terribly busy, so I appreciate you taking the time to fix this for the next order.

Thanks!

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Skull & Shackles Adventure Deck 3: Tempest Rising arrived yesterday - yay!

The two promos (Goblin Pegleg & Blessing of Zogmugot) did not arrive - :(
Please send in next shipment.

What happens if you use BotG to mimic the top card of the Blessings deck and get two dice?

It's not the result of that die. If the TOTAL result is odd, you may recharge the blessing.

mlvanbie wrote:
It also seems like it should be 'play BotG on a check', since the explore power wouldn't make sense.

Not sure that's necessary as you only roll a die on a check, not on an explore.

At the end of your turn, after (□ and before) you reset your hand, you may attempt to recharge a spell in your discard pile.
The power just says attempt to recharge a spell and S&S spells only mention banishment after you've played a spell (somewhat different if you display it). So can Amaryllis attempt to recharge a Divine spell in her discard pile using a d4 Divine?

Sure.

Yeah, the Chronicle sheet stays with the player/character. It is the same way in PFS RPG. The Chronicle sheet is the way one tracks the rewards and upgrades for the character. Once one Chronicle sheet is filled, you start another if you have not completed the adventure.

Oh! Thanks for pointing that out. I can see where that makes my sheet seem redundant, but it is more detailed than the chronicle sheet. Now, I'll be using all three sheets. More work for me, but I want to keep track of everybody else too (that is until we get more people playing in this area, and I can't manage it anymore). :)

The session sheet is good, but it is for tracking events. Mine is for tracking characters. Technically, I'm using both. :)

Or you can use this handy dandy sheet I created to track your character:

In any case, I think Vic has a point … and justification why ships should be made of non-flammable materials. Like stone.

Stones can't float. But very small rocks can.

Okay, so it is a mistake. Does this mean that there will be no such credit for the card game scenarios that coordinators report, or will there maybe be a separate system for the card game down the line?
No plans for such credit at this time.

Since you can run this game solo, I think that's a good idea. I would definitely farm for points just because I could.

Joshua and Sarah created scenario trackers for reporting results above. I took their ideas and modified it for each individual character. You can easily track the progress of your character(s) with this handy dandy worksheet.

We had 5 players for an OP session on Saturday, and three of those 5 had not played a lick of PACG (Where G is Game and not Guild) or PACG (where G is Guild and not Game). We almost ran out of time (blessings) but through a stroke of luck, we were able to defeat the villain on the last turn.

I'm pretty sure the two experienced players could have defeated the villain much quicker than this party of five. But isn't the point of the game, and Organized Play by extension, to have fun AND bring new people to the game? We succeed at both.

Wow. These are so easy to use. I just knocked out the other two so quick. Here they are for all to enjoy:

They are all pretty powerful and perhaps game breaking. Especially with Restoration. Tome of Chad Brown is really about understanding the intricacies of the rules, because I think the first thing I read from Chad was his post clarifying Ezren's Evoker power to add 2 to a check with the Force trait. So, in that spirit, it has subtle little combo potential for a particular character.

Hawk - I'm wondering when we're going to get Gary and Janis (and possibly other) homage cards.

I think I'm going to do this just to be sure.

Could Tanis and/or Mike Brock shed some light on these tracking sheets? I'm running my first scenario this weekend, and I want to make sure I track everything correctly.

That looks right to me.

I received the same response as First World Bard. Just waiting for the floodgates to open.

I really hope I can play this soon. The local FLGS have not yet become official retailers yet. I'm not sure if this is because they don't see the need, or they just don't understand how to do it. And I'm waiting patiently to become an official VL. (taps toes and sighs)

At least we all got access to the 0-0 scenario. Though I am totally ready to jump feet first into the whole path.

And they look great! What is the projected street date/month/quarter for these?

Weird. If a second package manages to show up, leave it unopened and either refuse delivery or mark it as return to sender and send it back our way. Either of those options should get it back to us without you having to worry about return shipping fees.

The replacement arrived today. I will mark as return to sender.

Thanks!

One moment, please.

Your moment is up! :)

Now this just got a bit stranger...
A package was just delivered to me, and I think it's the original package. It has the right Paizo number (93454PZO00000703761), but a different USPS number (92748999920364122680003706).
So, if this is indeed the original package, how should I send back the second package?

This order was broken up into two shipments. The part that shipped Friday, September 19 is the one that has been delivered, but not to me.

http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/PackageID.aspx?PID=PZO00000703761

This shows the tracking ends as follows:
30 Sep 2014 02:43 Package processed by Post Office ANAHEIM, CA

However, when I check the USPS Delivery Confirmation Number 92748999920364122680003713, it shows as delivered in Fountain Valley
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=92748999920364122 680003713

It is wonderful that my package has been to more places than I have in the past two weeks, but it is sad that the package was delivered to a place over 200 miles away. :( Most frustrating is that it was at the Post Office only two miles away last Saturday. Somehow, the goblins at the local Post Office thought that the package was needed in the Valley of Fountains more than in my grubby little hands.

I would really like to get the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Skull & Shackles Character Add-On Deck as soon as possible. What should I do? Should I purchase again and wait for a credit when this wrongly delivered package is sorted out?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

It's only because someone didn't apply for wherever you are at. VO positions are often under appreciated and people lash out at them about things not in their control, single them out on message boards just because they have a title next to their name, and other immature acts that make people hesitant to volunteer their valuable time for people who don't seem to appreciate it. That makes finding volunteers a difficult task and is one we battle every day.

If you or someone you know might be interested in volunteering, have them email me.

Mike that's not true. I applied for VL!

Looks like this needs to be updated with the new Shaman Iconic.

PACG developer Paul Peterson, Cheapass Games's James Ernest, TableTop's Bo Radakovich, and other friends have joined me in making what is basically a documentary. Enjoy.

You designed PACG in the trunk of a car?

If the rule doesn't make sense, don't use it. Nobody is suggesting that you HAVE to "farm". However, others may want to farm for that special ally or +1 weapons. I think it's great that the designers thought to "allow" it before needing to make a rule about it after the fact. I do run the scenarios over and over, but with different teams winning different boons. I haven't farmed the same scenario for the reasons you state. But I wouldn't deny another that pleasure.

Have you played each character? If so, who do you like to play the most and/or the least?

Flavor and ability wise, Lem is my favorite. His ability to pull spells from the discard pile makes him a top performer. His ability to sing/perform to help his teammates if fun to role play. :)

So far, Seelah has been the least fun to play. It's great that she can add to ANY check, but the cost is quite high. Unless she's playing with a healer, she's almost as squishy as Seoni without the high damage output. For somebody wearing plate armor, that doesn't make a lot of sense.

Regardless of most or least, I am thoroughly enjoying this game. It's a lot of fun to play in a group, but it's nice that you can play solo too!

I have the official player mats, and they're great. However, I haven't quite figured out how to keep track of each characters stats and use the mats to their fullest potential. Previously, I used an unofficial mat found over at BGG.
http://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/94652/pacg-consolidated-characther-sheets
This mat had a place to keep the draw, discard and buried piles as well as have the stats available on the front. The back of the mat had a place to record each character's deck.

Now that I have the official player mats, I want to use a card sized character card/sheet, without marking up the original. Clear sleeves and grease pencils don't seem to do the job for me. I've resorted to taking the official Paizo character sheets and cutting out the important info (Skills, Powers, Cards), and folding it in half. It's slightly smaller than the original character cards, but it works.

I'm wondering if somebody has a better solution.

It's the best one I've received this year!

Got mine, and I'm looking forward to killing some Ogres. Just one question - Jakardos or JakardRos?

Hmm... Wonder if the Acidic Sling +3 from Sins of the Saviors has the liquid trait...

Any info on when these will start shipping? I placed my order on the 20th, and I'm anxious to get them before a local con. 2-10 business days - how many business days were there last week (since Thanksgiving and all)? 3? 4? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

In my solo game (Lem, Sajan, Seelah), Lem got another Spell. Seelah and Sajan both got another Blessing.

@Jaunt - some locations require Banishing a card to close the location. If all you're left with is a Spell, that's the card that you're going to choose or miss a chance at closing a location.
