Cool that it is cardboard and all but with the size of it, I would liked nice original art from mr Reynolds (or other talented people you employ) instead of a patchwork of characters we already saw in all the APs.
This being said, It's great it exists

I have cancelled your subscriptions. Congrats on being a father. Please keep in mind: killing orcs and goblins as a team is a great family bonding experience.
thanks
sara marie My son will learn in time the joy of standing on a pile of goblins corpses... Paizo style !
For now, I just want to make sure that my real life won't interfere with his fantasy life.
This being said, thank you.

So, given the name of the AP, can we expect a mostly urban campaign with lors of demons, devils and thieves trying to control a single city or the begining of a huge transformation in Cheliax ?
Glad to see you're planning an official AP with PFRPG.
Just to be sure: Is it going to ship with Pathfinder 15 ?
it depends on what you want : There's no need for a DM guide (it's included) and there are rules for creating monsters and a bestiary included.
I find it not that expensive for a complete game. Be warned though that the rules are closer to rolemaster than to D&D 3.5 (percentiles, skills etc...)
475 pages... (web enhancement included) : pure delirium. are there major differences with Alpha 3 that I should look for ? Yes, I'm lazy... Guess the easiest way will be to create a character : a barbarian ?

It's a midnight download ? I think we'll have to wait for Paizo's webmaster to grab a coffee, turn on his PC, read his mails and then maybe, he will allow us to download the PDF.
I use rolistik (beware : it's in french) which has more modest map designing features than maptools but is very stable. It doesn't need an installation (you have to use macintel if you have a mac though)and provide a possibility for the DM to be a Dejay and play music which is always good for atmosphere.
There are nice chat functionnalities but we use Skype in conference mode (except when a PC wants to tell me something secret).
We have played 4 times, it never crashed and the music is truly a welcomed addition by the players (some PC games propose truly nice atmospheric musics, it's a nice way to use them...). For the maps, I scan or import images from other sources.
If I have time, for future selfmade modules, I plan to use NWN2's toolset and make the areas, then screenprint the images, import them in Gimp and then add a grid layer... If I have time).
Quote: By the time the PCs do find this out (when they rescue Neolandus in Escape from Old Korvosa), Ileosa has grown powerful and entrenched herself in the ruling seat, so even if the PCs brought forth this information they would not have the might to install Eran on the throne. They must continue along the AP to learn about the Fangs of Kazavon and recover Serithtial to be able to face Ileosa in the final installment. All of this just adds an extra twist to the plotline of the AP. What may happen also it that the PCs decide that with the legitimate heir to the throne in their care, they have sufficient credibility as freedom fighters and may rally nobles and military officiers to their cause. This could lead to a very different campaign.
True, I'm reading it too and since I'll be running CoCT in approximately two months, I'm more than happy to find your work.
Thanks

Most of that extra 100+ pages will contain the rest of the spells and magic items we had to leave out of the Beta, along with a few other sections we had to leave out (cursed items, artifacts, and prestige classes come to mind).
No prestige class in the beta ? But will there be prestige classes in the Pathfinder universe compatible with the beta before august 2009 ? Or do we have to adapt the already existing d&d3.5 prestige classes ourselves?
Wouldn't that be counted as house rule and therefore not helpfull in testing pfrpg ?
PS : I ask the question because I started running the alpha 3 last week and one of the player was already unhappy about losing prestige classes even though I pointed out that character classes had been revised and were much more interesting now (I tried to sell him basic classes!!).

Not by default, no.
If you wish to have two existing orders merged, you will always need to notify Paizo Customer Service, either here on the messageboard, or via email or phone.
However, these two orders cannot be merged. We currently cannot merge subscription items and non-subscription items into one shipment. this is a feature that we are working on bring to our subscribers in the future, but it is not yet available.
thanks,
cos Ok, thank you for the quick reply.

5 days later and still pending : life's unfair. Now flame me like I deserve since I can't wait silently.

(Disclaimer: I'm really sorry to be such a pain regarding shipping rates. Really. But they usually amount to a third of the price of an order, and it's sometimes difficult for me to justify the price of my addiction.)
Looking at my subscriptions and at the Product Schedule, I'm starting to expect one big fat shipment leaving Paizo HQ early August. The box should contain :
• Pathfinder 12
• Pathfinder 13
• The first Pathfinder Companion
• The Curse of the Crimson Throne Map Folio
• The Pathfinder Campaign Setting
I've run a simulation adding two Pathfinder issues, two Rise of the Runelords Map Folios (I assume the PF Companion will weigh roughly as much as a Map Folio) and the Campaign Setting book to my cart, and selecting "Ship everything when it is available".
Looks like shipping to France is going to be $40.88, USPS Priority Mail, and no other option.
I know Vic wrote a few days ago that international shipping may be decreasing soon. I know that Paizo doesn't subsidize USPS Priority Mail. I know the rates are probably still better than going downtown to the games store that charges €20,00 ($31.40) for a Pathfinder issue.
Actually, that long post is just me looking for an answer to "Will I be paying $40 to ship the box next month, or is someone at Paizo working some transmutation magic that would allow for a lower shipping rate?". I need to prepare.
Thanks!
I'm in the same situation (French and all of that) !! This is going to be a huge parcel and a lot to read in september when the postman comes knocking on my door!!
I NEED my PDF, but it's pending sniff
James Jacobs wrote: sempai33 wrote: I wonder to know where can I find inquiries on Shoanties, like on all tribes and so one?
Thanks a lot! Pathfinder #10, which just came out, has a LOT of information on the Shoanti, including a big meaty article about them. That's it, I will buy History of Ashes now, can't wait for the french version (propably will buy both)
Great characcter sheet.
I was trying to do somethiing like this but yours is 10 times better than what I had in mind and I can use it for playing pen&paper online with friends (instead of sending scanned images of their sheets).
Thanks a lot.
Just received today both the gazetteer and the classic monsters revisited : less than weeks to get here in France. I'm really happy about having both the PDF (for quick reference search) and the classic book (for slow before bed reading).
My three countries :
Irrisen, the witch queen enclave : The white witch of the north seems like a great opponent. Even though the kingdom is evil, it feels like a place where diplomacy could be usefull to save the PCs life.
Cheliax and the gnome's settlement of Brastlewark : reading the gnomes description made them quite mysterious instead of funny.
Varisia because of it's political situation (Korvosa as an enclave of the Chelian empire, pirates, shoanti) and the Thassilonian ruins : campaign hooks everywhere !!
Well I just had the updated version with the map (nice, big enough) , thank you Paizo... Ideas are still poping in my head and it's been three days yet?
On the subject of maps, with campaign setting, do you plan to do an interactive map which will allow that clicking on one location on the map sends the reader at the corresponding chapter ?
That's funny! Maybe I got one because I'm a new suscriber... or because I'm French and people around here seem to like Asterix... or plain dumb luck.
Question : I'm not yet very familiar with driders in the pathfinder's world... they are mentioned in the gazetteer as being followers from Rovagug but is there more information about these creatures in an already published in a pathfinder sourcebook ?
I just started to read the gazetteer in pdf (loving the idea of an "age of lost omen"). I love the take on gnomes, elves and 1/2 elves... 1/2 orcs and halfings are more common but there seems to be a great variety among humans.
I had already bought two pathfinder modules in french which were real nice to read and (and I will stick to the modules in french, easier not to change language when dming) and now I find that the gazetteer is a very inspiring products that I will use to flesh out characters (languages, tongues, countries, everything a PC needs to know)
Skimming between this product and and classic monsters, I feel like I made the right choice in suscribing to chronicles products. I just hope that the pathfinder chronicles campaign setting won't have too much content that was already in the gazetteer.
