The fan created sheets have been pretty popular, so I thought I'd post a thread for sheets updated to Alpha 3.

I'll start here with my sheet updated. I got a little fancier with some of the fonts and added a watermark, but I also went a little more generic on class features, etc. The 3rd/4th page are for spells and notes.

I also created a 2 page/brochure style copy of the same here.

Hopefully those other (much more mad skillz) peeps will pop in here and link their sheets too.

Now there is already an official sheet, but here is my PFRPG Alpha 3 character sheet, in case someone wants it =).

It's almost the same as my Alpha 2 sheet, but with rage points section changed to Point pool section. I figured you could use the same space for either rage, ki, lay on hands or other pool. I also made the sheet fillable with Acrobat reader or similar program. If you have Acrobat professional, you can also save the filled data, but not with Acrobat reader. There might be other programs that can save form data, but I haven't tried any.

I also liked to point out that you don't have to print every page of this sheet, only those that you need. You can play basic melee character with the first two pages only. Other pages are optional and are there by public request =).

I also made a more printer-friendly sheet, which doesn't have the fancy(?) background art. But It's the same sheet, only without background, and I think it looks a little funny without it... =)

first, I love this character sheet (the little booklet idea is great!)

minor fix though, disable devices still list INT as favored attribute when it should be DEX (I wouldnt worry too much, the official sheet has way more mistakes^^)

Damn, I thought I fixed that already. Well, I'll fix it tomorrow. =)

I think he means mine, Salama. [Edit: Ok, yours has the same issue and is much prettier than mine, so maybe he meant yours. Heh.]

Also, although I left lots of room for notes, I seem to have deleted the Feats section. So I'll get a fix up soon.

Well, mine have been updated and put up here and mini brochure style here

Just grabbed Alpha 3 and your booklet sheet style

Time to dig in deep
Thanks

Heh. Maybe we can assume he meant both of us =).

Disable device fixed in my sheets too:

Alpha 3 Character Sheet
Alpha 3 lite Sheet

For some reason the file size went up 0,5mb when I replaced page one of the sheet with the fixed skill section. Strange. I'll have to examine that one a little further...

Tommy Salama: Thank you for your excellent sheet, and for listening to criticism.

Reckless: Thank you for making a sheet. I have some advice for you. You use too many fonts on your sheet. Pick one title font, and two body fonts. This is meant constructively.

Hey Salama, your char sheet is great. All my players are using it now. I do have one small suggestion though. Since now bards are going to want to have at least two Perform skills, it would be a good idea to have two Perform entries on the sheet.

Thanks! Good to hear they like it!

Oh, that's actually a great suggestion, didn't think of that one. I updated the files, just download them from earlier links. There is now three entries for perform =).

It made me realize another point too. I should propably make those entries also fillable. Oh, and profession too...

Great characcter sheet.
I was trying to do somethiing like this but yours is 10 times better than what I had in mind and I can use it for playing pen&paper online with friends (instead of sending scanned images of their sheets).
Thanks a lot.

Amazing character sheets, both of you. Very well done, but I have a request, can we get a characeter sheet without the skills written on it? Keep everything, armor pentalty, +3 box, everything, but just erase the skills and key abilities and leave em blank lines. I know alot of us are using a house ruled skill list, and would appriciate a good looking character sheet for our house skills. Thanks a lot.

Thanks a ton! Very nice work.

I've been tweaking away at my Savage Tides MS Excel character sheet to integrate all the PFRPG rules. It's only at v.0.2 right now, but should still be pretty handy. Feedback is welcome! As a note, my goal with character sheets is to keep them fairly small for electronic transmission, while automating as much as possible. So, this is sort of a mix between a character generator and character sheet.

Pathfinder RPG Character Sheet v.0.2 [XLS]

Cell protection is turned on for each worksheet to keep from accidently overwriting formula/titles/etc. but it's not password-protected so you can turn it off easily (Tools-->Protection-->Unprotect Sheet).

@Salama: that is great work indeed! Thanks a lot. We are using your sheets with the RISE OF THE RUNELORDS campaign which started May, 31st. Keep up the cool work, your sheet is so much more stylish than the "official" one!

...and if you have just too much time to spend, remember the A4 format, will you? *grin*

I talk for the french speaking player : there is traducted character sheet here :
French Sheet

There is other sheet made by french fan on this forum...

Those who are simply altering the existing sheet remember to correct Spellcraft to INT, Swim to STR, and others that might've come up on the errata board.

I hit all the corrections on my XLS version (I think) but if folks use it definitely let me know any findings.

Also, I've got a v.0.3 ready but can't upload it (no access to my file share site from work). I'll send it up when I get home. V.0.3 adds quite a few things:

  • Racial Ability bonuses auto-calc (and human/half-elf characters get to choose one)
  • The miscellaneous AC bonus can be turned on/off for flat-footed and/or touch AC
  • The calculated mods for skills checks now includes race and size bonuses
  • The class skill boxes auto-check when you enter one of the standard classes
  • Craft, Perform, and Profession can be customized as needed
  • Conditional modifiers from race auto-display
  • Halflings get their save bonus auto-added
  • Racial starting languages auto-display

  • Dark Archive

Salama, wonderful character sheet!!! My group and I have been looking for one and this works wonders!! Thanks a lot!!!

V.0.3 of my sheet is up now...

Here is version 1.1 of my custom character sheet for the Pathfinder RPG: HwknsCustPFRPGA3CS11.pdf

Of those of you who have downloaded my Pathfinder character sheet, do any of you have any suggestions or otherwise constructive criticism for me? I am considering doing some minor revisions (and yes, I already know that I used CMD instead of CMB for Combat Maneuver Bonus).

    Thanks,
    Hawkins

I wouldn't mind seeing the armor/shield moved up under the armor class section. Spells could be put with the spell list instead of on the front page (you'll be looking up your spells anyway, might as well have all the information in one spot). Maybe move all the character description/background/racial abilities etc to another page and give more space to feats/class abilities. More equipment space too maybe.

It's a good sheet, I like it, I guess I'd just like to see certain things put in the same area of the sheet for ease of reference.

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll take them into consideration, but some of your re-arrangements may not be all that easy to implement. Also, my players have implied that they like having the spells/day on the front page for a quick reference.

    Try Foxit Reader--it's free.

You will probably have to try Foxit Reader because I do not actually have Acrobat. I create my character sheets in Excel and then print them to a PDF. And since I don't want to have to worry about others stealing my work, I do not give out the master XLS files of the character sheets I create. Sorry, that was a really long answer, but I just wanted to make sure I was being clear in my statements.

Is anyone having any trouble using the interactive sheets with Foxit Reader? I get the bar at the top that says "Highlight interactive fields" but I can't edit the fields.

Kudos, Salama! Very nice work. Watch out, somebody might try to hire you.

Thanks! You mean that someone might pay me money for doing things like these? What a nightmare.

    Scarab Sages

I really like all these sheets, they're all really useful!

    @Salama, 2 minor suggestions:

    1) Could you make the character portrait box a little lighter like some of the other entries so that any art doesn't blend in too much to the background.

    2) Is it possible to make the spell list only 1 column per 'book page'? This way players can also write mini-descriptions of the spell to help them remember what it does?

Keep up the good work everyone!

    Cheers! :D

Mairkurion, is there anything special that has to be done in order to edit the file? I've downloaded the sheet (being an avid user of Foxit Reader already) and I am unable to edit the fields. Any help or an editable sheet would be great!

I get "404:file not found" for these links.

I actually have not tried this method yet. I will try using it when I get home (I have Acrobat Reader @ work) and see if I can get it to work. Any suggestions from anyone on how to edit a PDF without Adobe Acrobat so fields can be filled in would be welcome as well.

Also, I will see about a full page for Inventory/Items. The biggest problem I run into is trying to fit the most stuff in the least amount of pages, but if people want 4 pages, 4 pages they will get (my D&D 3.5 Character Sheet has 8 pages, but you only need to print out the files you need).

Combert, is there any way you can slightly update this to make Spellcraft INT instead of DEX like its supposed to be? Otherwise I love your sheet.

    Combert wrote:

Also Disable Device should be Int? And Hair is spelt Heir. Otherwise, my whole group loves this sheet! We want to use it, we just need the small errors to be fixed.

    sjd022 wrote:

Actually, they combined Disable Device with Open Lock and changed it to a Dex skill (IIRC).

I must agree Salama - great sheet. I think I'm going to give it a try!

One comment on the Skills section. Can we get a column of boxes to darken in order to indicate all of your character class's class skills? I know you have the Class +3 column, but that's not the same is it? Ideally, we need to be able to show all the skills that are class skills for the given character, and then we also need to be able to indicate which of those class skills have ranks in them (trained) which gives the +3 bonus.

    Does that make sense?

Oh, also ... is there a way to make the Portrait box editable? I have the full version of Acrobat and was thinking it would be cool to insert a picture in that box ...

Thanks again for such a great sheet!

Thanks! Hm, you're right, it's not the same thing. How odd that I didn't notice that one. I'll make class skill boxes when I get to my work computer.

OH yes, it makes sense =).

Hm, I'll have to look into that whole insert picture process in Acrobat. Never tried so I don't know if it's possible... Have you ever seen a pdf in which you can insert your own picture?

    no prob!

Thank you! If I have time to update my alpha 3 sheet before beta, I'll just update the earlier link. Once Beta is out, I'll post another link for my Beta sheet. I also have my Pathfinder Character journal booklet in works, but it has already grown pretty large and I'm not sure if anyone would use so massive "sheet" for bookkeeping... =)

    Salama,

Please forgive the impatience, but did you get a chance to fix the sheet? I ask because I am in the process of creating a new Pathfinder character for an upcoming game and would like to use the newest version.

    Thanks!!!

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, Arknath. It looks like I spoke too soon. I see editable fields in Salama's and Combert's sheets, but not in Hawkins. I will try to play around with this some more, but there are probably folks who are more proficient with Foxit than I on these boards.

When you created your pdf, Hawkins, am I correct in understanding that you did not create it with interactive form fields? If not, that is why Arknath (and I) are not seeing them. You can use Foxit PDF Editor to modify pdfs, so I am guessing that one versed in Foxit Fu would be able to use it to add the interactive fields. But alas, my Foxit Fu is weak, for I am but a novice. (Also, I believe that the Editor is only free on a trial basis, and they want you to eventually buy it. At least with Foxit Reader, you can save pdfs with fields of entered info, unlike expensive, big fat Acrobat.) By the way, thanks to you for your work, as well as Salama and Combert. Generous folks.

Sorry, but it will be another 10 hours until I get to the computer where my files for the sheet are... I hope that's not too late for you =)

I updated my Alpha 3 sheet. It now has also class skill boxes (in addition to trained +3 boxes). I also added space to write your Favored class down.

I also made portrait box lighter, so it's easier to draw in it. I found out that it's possible to make a button in pdf, which allows you to import your own image in the portrait field. But it didn't work for me, and adobe says that the option doesn't work in Acrobat reader, only in professional. Anyway, I'll have to look in to this matter a little closer.

I didn't have time to update printer friendly version of the sheet, but here is the full version:

Love the sheets Salama, and I know I would be interested in seeing your pathfinder 'booklet' for characters when you get done with it.

    -Tarlane

Edit: As an additional question(I know this isn't quite the right spot for it) are these the first char sheets you have done, or have you created 3.5 sheets in the past? I alternate running games with someone and he is a pure 3.5 DM right now and I know I'd like to use your style of sheets in that game as well if you have made any before.
