Well the campaign I'm running is going really slow (in a good way) we are having fun with the setting and the characters. I can draw something extra here and there. By the way Check out the New Wayfinder #12 I have a couple of illustrations there. Cheers!
Woran wrote: I love your drawings so far! I am planning to run a group trough the Spire after I finish Plunder and Peril :) Thanks! If you need extra artwork for "plunder and Peril" I would be happy to do so. I'm thinking of starting another thread with extra artwork for some other Pathfinder product but I don't know which one would be good to do.
Hopefully people haven't lost interest in this post. I know I have been a little slow......ok a lot slow with drawing and posting new artwork for this post. But I haven't forget. Here is theShark-Tail Automaton for level 5. If you have any suggestions for more illustrations let me know. Thanks
Hello: Sorry for not posting anything in a while. I been busy drawing for the next Wayfinder Issue. My group is in level five because they decided to do something out of the spire for change in pace. But here is a little something, Don't open if you are a PC:
the full list and drawings of the Azlanti Runes carve in each level. . and here is the link Runes.

The way I played was that any doors in slot with both poles retracted deactivates an aspect of the Dungeon, and as they get closer and closer to deactivating the Godbox the Troglodytes star to get more angry. For my the focus of this level was less on the puzzle and more on the fact that the tension is building to the point were is it inevitable to fight all 16 troglodytes.

I Took the puzzle idea but in a simpler way and it work. I'm about to start reading Level 6, let me see what I can do with the Turntables. Thanks
By request of John The Cab. The doors from level 4, I took some of your ideas and give them a little twist. I hope you like it. I also play the Puzzle thing you suggested it was a lot of fun. I'll be posting the runes for levels by the end of this week. Again thanks for the support! Let me know if you use the artwork and if is helpful in anyway.

I'll work on it. My players are in the middle of level 3. Tell me more about your design idea.
Kudaku wrote: Just wanted to post and say that I used your art in my Emerald Spire campaign tonight and it's been a big success. Really hope you keep making these. :) Thank you very much. I'm glad your group like my artwork. I will keep doing it and maybe expand on another modules or adventure path. I will do them as my gaming group gets through the dungeon, but they are going slow. If you see something that you think needs an illustration please let me know. Again Thanks.
Hello everyone. I'm currently running The Emerald Spire Superdungeon on a roll20.net campaign and I realize that there is some stuff that it is said but not show. As an artist this is important to me so I decided to create some of the stuff that is not in the book to use as visual aids and handout to the players. Don't read if you just find the note:
Starting with the piece of parchment that you find in area A12. Skizzert's Chamber. This paper show an Azlanti rune that represents the number six that is key to teletransport to level 6 of the dungeon. I hope you like it. I'll be posting whatever else I make as I read the adventure. Thanks
Hello: I have never play PbP before. This will be my first. This looks like and interesting idea. My idea for a Character is to be a Dwarf Bard that plays the Bag Pipes, so he is going to be very Scottish, with a kilt and everything. He carries a pocket clock that doesn't work, and he is looking for someone to fix it; he doesn´t know it, but his fate is bond to the clock, when the time of his dead is near, the clock will start running.

I don't know....Is just the flavor of it...I think of oracles are more mystical. It is not a rule base thinking, is just a campaign flavor thinking. I guess is just that wisdom makes more advantages to divines spells oriented to combat, so the cleric has the upper hand.

Yeah, you are rigth....I guess an exception to the rule could be make if you are a battle oracle. Like I said; It is my very personal opinion. If , as an oracle, you want to use wisdom for your spiritual weapon, pump up your wisdom. But every DM has it's own set of house rules, and different types of players. I wouldn't suggest this change to my DM 'couse I know that he will say no, and I would do same with my on player. Becouse the rule is clear. At the end depends on two things, 1. If you want to change the rule you should determine how easy or difficult you want this to be acomplish. 2. If you don't want to change the rule, just explain why you don't see it should be change. Good luck

Ummm....I would (in this is my very personal opinion) stick to the Rules, if it says Wisdom use wisdom. Clerics can be combat oriented and Oracles are not suppose to be that way, and I don't see this as a problem. There migth be some cleric spells that use charisma and your not going to change those spells to wisdom base spells. I think that if you chance the Ability of this spells you'll be leveling both cleric and oracle, and for the oracle spiritual wepon is a support spell, not a most have spell.

All the equipment is useful if you can find a original and fun way to use it. I like caltrops to alert me when monsters are wandering in parts of a dungeons we alredy "clean up" Also as a DM you can have add situations in wich a piece of equipment migth come useful. For example keeping track of the oil for a torch and the radius of illumination a torch provides. 'couse if you keep track of this sort of stuff it would make sense for a PC to buy a better illumination equipment, like a lanttern. Also is your dungeons is very featureless it makes excellent use of a chalk to aboy getting lost. I have a character that his hobby was making a map of korvoza's sewer system so he always use a compass, chalk, antitoxin, everburning torch, paper, pencil. But my Dm provided the situation for me to use this stuff. At the end it is what makes sense for a charecter.
If you can get a hold on old Dungeon Magazines you can have a lot of old school adventures and some really great ones. There are two adventure paths from Paizo, Age of the Worms and Savage Tide both great adventures There is a convertion for d20 of the original Castle Greyhawk that is basically a huge dungeon with old school traps. And in other magazines they add acouple of level more to this adventure. Plus adventure arcs that consist of 3or 4 adventures that tie together. All this in Paizo's Dungeon Magazines

I looking to get some pay commissions as a way of rising funds for my trip to PaizoCon 2011. So my plan is to sell costum made Item Cards, with a Card Layout of my own design. I'm a illustrator with publish work at Headless Hydra, Fight On! magazine and Wayfinder 2,3 and 4. I'll post a link to my DeviantART webpage(if you want to check-ou my style) as well as some other item card I have done. Here is how it work: I will sell you a unique item drawn by me, you send me a description of how the item looks and I’ll make a sketch, at this point you can request a change in the sketch. Then I’ll make a full color, ready to print, item card with the item that looks like the Pathfinder Item card. If you are going to PaizoCon 2011 for and extra price I will give you a color print version of the item you request, and for an extra price I’ll give you the original drawing. If your not interested, and you have someone who migh, please feel free to forward this information. So…prices: -5$ for a Item Card electronic version
Payment method: Paypal (full amount upon sketch approval) So if you are interested send me and e-mail to celurian_world@hotmail.com so I can send you back a template with all the information I need of your item. Hope everyone likes the idea of a unique magic item. Have a nice day.
Heres the thing. Curse of the Crimson Throne is an anventure path set in a city, and suddenly the king dies. After the death of the king angry mobs started to protest. I'm playing this adventure and I found that Angry Mobs are really fun. But to start a mob you need a good rumor. So I'm starting this thread to read all the angry mob rumors you can think of. It can be true of false or partially true, what ever. Is you hate agains the Queen, the Hellknights, or any NPC in Korvosa this is the time to spread your hate. SO everyone take you pitchfork and torch to rebelt agains the opression on Korvosa.
If rigth now the Psionics are compatible with Pathfinder rules, I'll be more interest in how psionics classes and secrets fit in the Golarion World. It could be a nice idea to expand on psionics as a Nation or part of the world where psionic characters and NPC gather to discuss psionic matters. What I mean, is that it would be nice if psionics could be more integrated with Golarion, that way it wouldn't feel likje an add-on to the game and more like a expantion to the campaing setting.

That sounds like a good idea...also it could be made as a patronage. Maybe start with a campaign arc and then moving from there to a supplement and then to a full product.
No, you can´t retrain it. Unless your DM allows it. But there are some class abilities that can be stack is you have a second class feature. For example A paladin with a presstige class that doesn't have lay on hands, the only levels that he counts for his lay on hands ability are the paladin levels. But if a paladin takes a prestige class with lay on hands class ability then he stacks his paladin levels plus his prestige class levels to determine the amount of Hit Points that he can heal.

My wife and I play PACG every week or two weeks. While I am a huge board game fan, PACG is the only game my wife will play with me on a regular basis. We have the core set and the CotCT expansion as well as the promos as I am a subscription holder. Sofar we have played the core campaign through to the beginning of Lev 3. We have not failed and have played by the rules as much as we could. Unless we can not find a rule for something we think we are playing the game as it was meant to be played. We play on normal mode at a medium game length. I will sometimes sneak in an additional location (the 3 player one) if I feel like a particular scenario is too short. My wife thinks the game takes too long to play while I think it is just right or slightly too short. She would like to play shorter length scenarios but I draw the line at medium length. -We are both enjoying the game and like this new version 2 of the game (core) much more than the original set and its expansions. -We are okay with the new art style. It is busy but it is growing on us. -We find the game perfectly playable with two players. I played the core Lini but realllly disliked her and switched back to the original set Lini who feels so much more awesome to play (+1d4+ on a check if you have an animal.. Without that ability she feels so meh to me.) Wife plays Hakon for melee and mage spells for party balance. We realize now that we got to scenario level three, his spells are only good if he have the Harrow mechanic in play so she took the bard path with him. We felt like it was a sort of wasted pick but not a big deal. -When we play CotCT we are going to try the game without a healer. We think it is possible and are looking forward to both being DPS. -We like the new mechanics like avenge, danger, proxies, the new and replaced keywords, etc. -DANGER: There are a bunch of scenarios where there is a danger but no clear way on how to activate it. Or, it pops maybe once and that is it. It feels wasted at times. If you are going to use Danger, make it pop at least 3 - 5 times in a scenario. 2C was great as we had to do it each time we closed a location and it was very clear how and when we had to fight it. Make it EXPLICITLY CLEAR on how you have to trigger the danger in a scenario, please. -We love being together as a party. Thanks for making the game more party friendly (local check I'm looking at you) and the all cards that make all the players at a location die a horrible death cards are a great balance to it. -I like that the story is longer for each scenario, my wife says its too long and to "RPG..." She just wants to play to move forward to the next level. -We do NOT like that we had to shuffle all the boon cards 1 - 3 together before we started the campaign. My wife would be so excited to get something cool and then become really, really disappointed and annoyed at both the game and the designers (and said as much) when she found out that if the boon was a level higher than our current level she could not keep it. I agree with her. When we start CotCT we are going back to using only level 0-1 cards at level 1, then level 0-2 when we get to level 2, etc. Please rethink this and revert the rule back to the V1 way of playing. This is what my wife hates most about the new game and I really dislike it as well. We don't want to see all the items in the game the first time we play. It takes away so much of the excitement of going up a level!! -We like how there is some variety in the scenarios unlike like V1 when all of the RotR scenarios felt basically the same. -I HIGHLY DOUBT we will ever play outside of a campaign. Please make a/some randomized scenarios part of a future campaign so we can experience them. They seem like a cool idea but my wife will not do them unless we have to as part of the campaign. I also do not play games solo. (feature request) "As you enter the Shifting Labyrinth please roll a d20 and check on the random scenario table to see what is waiting for you!" Would love something like this. -Love the +# for banes and sometimes boons. Great way to keep monsters relevant or challenging. -Bloodfly seems to come out every game! How many are in the monster deck?? Our most hated card. Always gets a groan when it is revealed. :) -Divider for each expansion please. (feature request) -The Hourglass is great. It is mostly useless but sometimes it is amazing. It is much better than just flipping cards to keep track of turns with no other purpose. -It is a lot easier for us to buy one full expansion once or twice a year over six or twelve packs per year. Thank you for ending the madness of your old way of selling expansions!! -We do not want to mix V1 with V2 cards conversion chart or not. Please consider making new class decks or something in the V2 style. Whatever. We are selling all of our V1 stuff and starting from Core. -Armor is so much better now. My wife had four of them on display the other night. It was funny and we tried real hard on how to explain how he was wearing that many suits of armor but we could not!) Thank you for making armor useful. Maybe only allow 1 to be on display at a time or something... or not? -We both think that items are MUCH improved from V1. There are items we actually want in our decks now outside of healing items (potion.) -- Thank you for everything you did in making PFACG so much better over the V1 edition of the game. We are really happy and look forward to starting CotCT and what lies beyond!! PS: As always, no ships they killed the game for us. We stopped buying expansions after being so confused and disappointed with S&S. Thanks!!
On a local Strength check ( [] or a local check against a monster ), you may bury a card from your hand ( [] or discards ) to add your Diplomacy. Does this mean that Hakon can give me, if I am local and fighting a monster, an additional 1d8+1 on my combat roll (at the cost of him burying a card)? Thanks!
On p.2 of the DD AP booklet it says that I need to build the vault with ALL cards of all levels except for banes. Is this.. correct?? If that is true then I will be getting a shot at level 2 and 3 items starting in my first adventure (Rumble Road)? Why was that rule changed? I liked "leveling-up" to new items and spells and such in v1.0. Is there any reason I can't play the old way where I only use cards from the scenario level I am on and any levels I have already completed? Please let me know what I am doing wrong here and why the big change? (Was this covered in a blog post I missed??) Thanks!!
Are there any plans to update the class decks and other side products to the new format? While I assume everything depends on how the new core box sells, I was wondering if any plans were being set into motion on this front? This goes along nicely with what else can we expect from PACGv2 outside of the core box and main expansions as they year progresses? I don't have a FLGS and can not attend cons so I'd love to be able to buy more supplements for the game so I can enjoy it with my group. Thanks. (PACG Subscriber) |
