I'm disappointed that I didn't invest in Apple and Microsoft in the early 80s. That doesn't mean I think they should sell me stock for the same price they sold it at then.

The DT is an extraordinary value, and was given at the time because they needed to raise the kickstarter funds. Over as little as a couple of years, it saves a person who wants two characters around $300.00. They'd be undermining their own income stream to sell if for what you suggest.

Note: nobody got to "buy" a DT from Goblinworks. It was an extra perk we got for giving them our money two years before the game went live.

Should rename this section of the forums "Kickstarter perk sales." This kickstarter perk bs is a kin to scalping at major sporting events for tickets. People buy extra tickets that they don't need just for the sake of profit. THIS IS THE NORM TODAY. A friend of mine has spent over $5k on Crowfall pre-order Kickstarter Accounts just for the sake of resale. Is it a smart investment? Is he doing anything wrong? No.

As a gamer I really hate seeing this kind of stuff because it detracts from the actual purpose of why you are donating your money, and it seems like people are just getting coerced into buying for the purpose of reselling or for the flashy perks.

I think these DT accounts and all the other perks are overvalued for what they truly are. I see how they are rewards for the vanguard, but stuff like DT accounts where you can add them to a shop for $150 upgrade is something doable that GW can do and should do.

Now this forum is going be to exclusively for the sales of DT accounts. This will devalue normal accounts that have backdated XP since they are not DT accounts. What I was expecting from this forum was something like the EVE Character Bazzar. Not a Kickstarter Character Bazzar. Maybe we should have two forums, one for DT and KS accounts, and one for normal accounts.

The whole point of the character market is giving new players coming in X years later a chance of catching up. It shouldn't be for people exploiting the fact they have 65 DT accounts and are gouging new players to the game.

Here's a true story. Twelvedudes was a guy we took in as a new player. He was asking for a DT account or a backdated xp account but none of us had any extras. He wanted to catch up and have a nicer character, and not have to wait weeks or months. So he made a post on the forums in search of one. I contacted a few sellers in regards to their accounts but they never messaged me back, or they wanted ridiculous prices. Twelvedudes has left PFO, he was a potential player for the community and customer to GW but he was turned away because of the DT stuff and how unprofessional this forum is. Someone wanted over $12,000 for a backdated account, ya that is unprofessional.

I've used PA to buy and sell accounts for years, they are definitely a trusted broker. For all of those new to it, you list your account on their site and set a price. You need to post a picture of your ID and the account info page. Buyers pay Player Auctions and then the seller gives the account info to the the buyer. PA will also sometimes ask for the account info to verify the contents of the account. I'm not sure if they do this anymore. Then PA pays the seller after the transaction is complete and takes 13% for mediating the trade. Payment usually takes a few days for the seller.

The thing is what happens with account sales is x years later the seller recalls the account info and takes the account back through customer support. If you do recall PA will retract the payment and ban you from the site, and even possibly take legal action.

If you post on ebay you don't get that middle man guarantee. If billy sells his account now and then 2 years later recalls it; the buyer can't do anything about it. With PA you are guaranteed.

Also a common misconception that is floating around is that sites like PA have lots of fraud/identity theft going on behind the scenes. This isn't true at all. You're going to run into the same amount of fraud everywhere you go online. Ebay especially. You may sometimes run into shady sellers, that's why reputation matters and it's smart to only buy from reputable sellers.

Wurm Online is a sandbox MMO just like PFO. It has similar population levels as well. You can legally buy/sell accounts items and currency in game for cash. The devs support player auctions.

Also, your math is a bit fuzzy and your economics is horrible. $35 for the account + $15*6 months * 2 (DT account) + $10 Newbie Pack + ??? Daily Deals = Minimum face value of $225

Dunno where you learned to math but that's wrong to me why x2 are you selling 2 dt accounts? Or do you treat each individual character as a seperate theoretical account? It hasn't been 6 months it's been 165 days divide that by 31 or 30 you get 5.4 or 5.5 round down not up because if you round up it assumes that you payed the next months sub. So that's 5 months * the previous sub fee of $15.00

So

1 Dt account ($35) + 5 months of sub time ($75)= $110 right?

Add on the fact you can't get them any longer ($100-$125 is reasonable since this game has like > 2k active players in game). If the game had more demand due to having a higher pop this # would be different.

So that's $110+ $120 or $230, $250 if you want to be generous. Now you're saying multiply that by 2 since there's 2 characters on the account? So $500 for a DT, but you put your ceiling at $1k hoping Bill Gates plays PFO?

Tbh, I think you're doing a terrible thing to this game. Players who missed out at the start like I did shouldn't be gouged for trying to catch up to the vets.

My point about the EVE thing was even the most Godly accounts from 11 years ago with 180m-200m SP sell for around $900-$1200 (based on training and name/histroy). And I was trying to show how steep your price was in comparison to that, an EVE account that is 10 +years old versus your PFO account 5 months old.

I have a DT account with all the kickstarter trimmings that has been active and subscribed since launch. One character is completely full, the other has ~40,000xp spent towards Evoker. Both are elves. My plan is to hold on to the account for a while (possibly years). So I'm guessing nobody will want to pay what I'd sell for now, and there are others willing to sell similar accounts for less.

Opening bid: 10x 1oz bars of gold. That is ten bars of gold, weighing one ounce each. I'd also accept the equivalent value in platinum.

Honestly, I won't entertain offers that aren't outrageous right now. I have no desire to sell, unless it's for the thousands of dollars I'm hoping to get for an account that is full of xp years down the line.

Dude 2003 eve accounts with almost 200mil SP don't even sell for $1k. You are insane............ Way to try and scam the community.

Let's do the math here let's say you bought a DT for $35 then payed your sub for 164 days since then, 164*2400= 393600 XP. So that's an average of 5 months times $15/month which is 15*5. So that's $35+$75 or $110 you invested into an account. So what makes it 1000% more valuable than it really truly is?

At most I'd say 100k XP is like $30-35

So the account should be at max $200-$250. This is no where near worth $1000. No name is worth an additional $800 or the fact you have a stupid Dwarf mohawk.

Cool, good to know the policy. I'm just looking for a trusted middle man, because paypal doesn't cover digital goods. A friend of mine sold an Archeage account for over $1000, 3 months later the payment was recalled via paypal through the buyer's bank (stating it was a fraudulent payment). I'm not saying I distrust anyone here, I just would rather have a SANE state of mind and not have to worry about being scammed. I've used PA in the past they are basically middlemen.
