Okay if we're going path of the vampire I'm going to rearrange Zerik's stats a bit.

Zerik is tough and brutal fighter and he also has many skills. He is equally skilled Blades and the Longbow. He knows his way around traps and good at spotting and disabling, or setting them up if needed.

He is usually accompanied by his pet wolf "Fang". Fang is fiercely loyal though not very disciplined.

Well, I have to take one of the campaign traits, so lets say that's what I've been accused off by the authorities of Talingarde :)

I should also mention that I have played this campaign till level 3 before some I am somewhat familiar with it, though I would have missed a bit since you all seem to be at level 4.

Zerik leads the panther around the back to what appears to be a vegetable patch garden and it seems to be quiet around here. "Alright Zeus, I hope you enjoy that lovely bit of meat. Try not to kill anything for a bit eh." He says petting the magnificent cat.

Zerik heads back in and seeing the others engrossed in their conversation he decides to sit down at another table with earshot and calls the barmaid over.

Zerik pours himself a glass of the drink, savouring the flavours of the strong beverage. "This is good."

Zerik looks around worried not to see Erik, but as he gets through the drink he starts to feel relaxed and begins to enjoy the company of this beautiful companions, whose social graces he find himself envying.

"Hey gorgeous." he calls out to the barmaid. Drinking the strong drink before dining he finding himself slightly intoxicated. "Could you bring me something hot and spicy. I'm starving. And a piece of raw meat for the cat." He flashes a smile at the barmaid thinking himself dashing but ends up looking awkward.

Btw the panther is small sized for now, so I don't think he will be too much trouble, he's about the size of a regular dog, and smaller than a riding dog.

Zerik and his new little panther pet (size:small) Zeus, explore the town of Alendross learning its layout and who the important people are.

After spending a few hours exploring he finds his way to the Lord's Daliance Inn and settles down with Nahia and Seren, Zeus lazily relaxing next to Zerik.

How's it going ladies? Have you learned any thing interesting?

Zerik event:
Zerik watches the panther transfixed by the majesty of the animal. He watches it fend off attacks, outnumbered, battered, but refusing to give in. "What a creature."

Zerik snaps out of his trance as the battle comes to and end, the fierce black cat collapses from its wounds. Zerik suddenly finds himself beside the cat.

Heal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

He looks into the cats half open eyes, seeing almost a reflection of himself. The fierce, proud, solitary hunter. Zerik is about to call out when he finds Nahia by his side, working her magic to heal the injured animal.

[Zerik pulls out herbs from his pack, he wets them with his water skin and starts to mix it into a paste before packing the cats wounds with mixture and bandaging the wounds. "Rest brave hunter, this shall not be your last fight."

Zerik remains by the cat's side until it's better, feeding it meat from his pack.

Zerik smiles when he is dealt the bloody blow. He fights through the pain adding, "Your time is at its end captain." spinning into his next attack.

Zeri's hand moves to the hilt of his sword when Sakkarot demands that the squire remain here, and threatening his companions. He is ready to leap across the table and strike at the bugbear chief when Eirc responds... diplomatically.

Zerik relaxes and the conversation seems to continue. "I like this Sakkarot less and less. He asks much and offers little."

Zerik stands up and begins to leave the table remember his plans to eliminate the crew. "Firth the captain. He seems the most dangerous. I shall take Jack and Eirc's aid. No taking any chances with that one."

Zerik finishes his mouthful of food and says, "We locked in that infernal prison, chained up like animals. We were branded. The forsken they called us. Though I knew that I was such long before I came to these lands... Cardinal Thorn's agent, Tiadora, visited us while we were there, providing us with the tools for our escape."

"We used all our skill to escape, but before we were free our escape was discovered. We were outnumbered but not outmatched. I was never a believer in the Gods, but Erik, he believed in Asmodeous, and his belief was infection. I could see that he was guided by more than his own thoughts and skill, he had power more than his body would allow, it was Asmodeous' will. Then I believed and felt the power too. We were able to defeat our foes and escape that accursed place, reaching the Cardinal, where we were further trained, tested and trained. And so were are here before you." he finishes and continues eating with little regard for what the bugbear has made of his tale.

Zerik returns to the table with the crew. While for a piece of meat Zerik hears the chief call out to him. Zerik listens and begins to laugh. "Offence? No none at all. I merely wished for the crew of the ship that brought us here, through great dangers and with fine skill, may feast at your grand table." he says taking a bite out the roasted animal.
"I'm not sure of it's my hunger, but this is good food." Zerik belches adding. "You honour us with so great a feast. For my part before entering the service of the cardinal I was servant of a terrible master, Jeratheon Knightsbane, a rambunctious black dragon of Chargammon’s brood. I encountered some difficulty with Socerer while on a mission for him ending up in Brandescar prison. The rest you know."

I'm very new to take top rpgs I just started playing around the last quarter of 2013.

Zerik is my first character to get pay level 1.

The character is most enjoyed so far are Zerik (though) he isn't very expressive and my Half-Elf Tiefling Rogue. She's very sarcastic, tends to get the group in trouble by overestimating her capabilities, and has caused some pretty fun RP moments in PFS PBP, which I find to be rare.

Types out a great post on my phone and it got eaten up by my hitting the back button accidentally.

Zerik silently takes in the scene around him as his usual way. Having never scene bug bears before he is quite intrigued by their behavior. He finds himself admiring their independent if not savage ways rather than loathing them as he expected.

He watches Nahia skillfully navigate the social niceties and her skillful and practiced charm work its magic on Sakkarot. "She is good at what she does." he thinks to himself.

Zerik is careful not to partake in any drink during the feast hoping Erik and Jack abstain as well. He offers the crew of the ship to join in to the feast offering them drink as well. "You can't stay on that boat. Come, eat and drink with us. Celebrate with us, we have succeeded!"

Later in the night Zerik tries to catch Eric and Jack's attention. If they follow him away he says.

If Eric and/or Jack come with him:
"Lets try and keep the crew drinking. We can't forget the last duty we have towards them. It will quickest and easiest if we finish them in their sleep." he whispers.

The boat ride:
Zerik continues to silently observe the workings of the crew. As they journey the weather begins to cool turning into very cold nights. Zerik practices his sword kathas to keep himself warm, though he isn't affected by the cold the way some of the others are. Resistence to cold.

"The workings of these water vessels is interesting. This crew is not made of warriors. They are thin, but deceptively strong and quick to carry out their duty. I do not think that disposing of them will be as easy as I had hoped."

Suddenly they hear splashes. One of the crew goes overboard. "Damn it. What was that?" Another splash. "Some kind of water creatuers." "To the centre of the boat, back to back! What are those things?"

Zerik draws his sword. Slashing at the watery beings as they continue their attack. It last long, slowing as if they mean to withdraw then a sudden flurry of attacks. "Nahia is injured but it seems Seren is caring for her. May Asmodeous grant us strength to vanquish our foes!"

They fight on until it finally ends. "Well fought!" he says to his companions. Erik and Grublejack doing very well to fight off the creatures as expected and even Timeon holding his own.

Their rest after that is unsettled. None on the Frosthammer seem able to sleep without fear of attack. Zerik goes to Nahia and watches over her as she recovers. "You better not be planning on dying on us. You would miss out on too much fun." he says through a smile, trying to hide his concern. He hands her some bread, salted pork what she most enjoys, a good stiff drink.

Though he does not wish to admit it, he finds his independent, work by himself ways being challenged. Zerik finds himself growing fond of his companions and relying on them more and more. He is very dangerous by himself, but as a team, they are the deadliest force he has ever know or heard of.

Finally our destination approaches.

"This should be interesting. he says under his breath as they disembark from the boat. "I'll let them handle the talking. I'll keep by bow and sword at the ready."

Zerik watches the boarding crew and captain carefully, looking for any sign of aggression or discovery of the weapons the smuggle. He stays back for now but close enough to quickly intervene.

Readied Action:

If it seems the talking doesn't work, they discover the weapons or any of the other crew make an aggressive action.

"Enough talking." Zerik draws his greatsword and attacks the other captain.

No I believe if you want to keep an item you have to pay what we would receive for it. For weapons we would only receive half for it so if any party member seeks to retain it then they pay half as well. That's the way we have been doing it.

Zerik keeps to himself avoid the Captain after their initial encounter. He spends most of the voyage in silence, carefully observing the crew, their tasks, their duties. He notices who is quick, who is strong, who is lazy and diligent. Zerik learns a good deal about how the ship is run but still only has a very rudimentary idea of things. Take 10 on perception to observe them, for a total of 20

Zerik doesn't change his attire too much. He plays the part of a mercenary. This average gear and dark clothing fit the part. He ensures that his brand is not visible and goes to lengths to ensure that it is well covered.

I am no sailor and I would rather not be forced to take up such duties. I haven't read game play yet, but I like the idea of Erik being a knight of Mitra since he has the plate and we have access to the holy symbol.

@Erik Go with shield wall. I"m fine with that, i've got my feats planned pretty much till the end. Btw, I believe you need to rework the full plate so that you can use it.

I thought about Ranger, if we need another one. I'm a bit concerned about his survivability. Battle Cleric could he pretty good. He has strength and he will have Wisdom later if he survives so that could work.

I'm fine with either. I'd also like to know what Aku would like to play since he will be controlling Jack. What would you like him be Aku?

He would also make an excellent Fighter, then. Str is his only strong stat, and personality wise he is quite the warrior.

He could slaughter little uns and he would have the advantage of plate armour and a shield/tower shield.
