Wait, can we use our Shirt reroll on the Day Job check? If we can...
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Excellent! Let's be on our way then. I wonder if we get a commendation for being the lucky ones.

Points to the trap door, Like this. We could have missed this. Who wants to open it?
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
We missed those two single doors off the dining room on our first pass. Let's go check them out.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
We have the book, but were we supposed to look for that scholar fellow that was kidnapped as well? Zantir casts Heroism and Featherstep on himself again.

How much time has passed now since we left the tea room? -Posted with Wayfinder

I'm here, just not sure if there is anything interesting I should be looking at. -Posted with Wayfinder
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Ok, I bought it. So far I like it. One improvement I see right away. It would be nice to have the ability to hide campaigns in your list. So I can ignore the dead ones. -Posted with Wayfinder

Finding nothing of great interest, Zantir moves to join his allies. Looks like there was a book on display in the library that has been moved to a 'safer location'.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir searches the library for the book in question.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Oh, the fill-able PDF? Yeah, I really like it. Send me your email and I will send the file over to you.

Not sure why my character changed position on the map. I should still be at the corner of the pool. Battle Dance!
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir draws his bow and fires.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Tanglefoot bag? You just stay out of melee, Ignatious. Round 1:
Get out of there, Lirianne!
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir will attempt to Mage Hand the bag to the surface of the pool.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir starts circling to the left around the fountain and opens the first door. Record Keeping: 3 rounds Rage, 2 rounds Performance used.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir heals himself up quick.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
I'm all for the looting usually, but at the moment I would prefer to deal with the next challenge while my weapon is still glowing with divine stuff. Zantir moves to the double doors and opens them unless anyone objects.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
We can take this one Chai! As Zantir's weapon is bathed in holy light he smiles and dances around the beast, jumping to the floor in flanking position with Chai.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
*Shock* He got me! Since Ignatious goes before me in initiative, please add 2 to my Damage on that last attack.

The rules on the higher ground bonus are incredibly vague, basically non-existent. There is no 5ft tall rule. I guess it's GM discretion. GM, My Scimitar is Adamantine if that makes a difference here.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir is a little disappointed at the ruse, but turns swiftly to meet the new attacker, bending quickly to avoid the massive punch.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
@GM, Controlled Rage. I was trying to indicate that with the (+4 Dex) notation. For future reference, this character never uses normal rage. It's always Controlled Rage for +4 Dex. I will tell your otherwise if the situation ever comes up.

I have not played Zantir since leveling him to 6. I forgot how ridiculous he is in melee combat now. :)
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir jumps up on the table, his Scimitar appearing in the blink of an eye. Sorry to interrupt your lunch boys, let’s dance!
My AC is now 23 and becomes 24 when I am in melee with more than 1 opponent.

I don't see any change on the map linked at the top of the page from when it was first put up. Am I missing something? I need to gauge range before I commit to an action.

Time Lapse:
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir ignores the tea and instead takes a drink from his hip flask. After his two companions begin their slumber he quickly looks around for danger. Upon hearing Mr. Po’s response he settles back into his chair and chuckles. Well, if nothing else, Passad has a sense of humor.

I was already heading back What happened here?
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
I already have a +1 Weapon, so Magic Weapon is useless to me. BUT Weapon of Awe stacks because it is a Sacred Bonus. :)
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
I like Hold Person, Dispel Magic, Prayer, Air Walk, Lesser Restoration, Resist Energy Communal, Debilitating Portent, Weapon of Awe, and Blessing of Fervor. Specifically for casting on my character, I would request Weapon of Awe and Blessing of Fervor.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir moves back to the door. Looks like our only way in is the front door, unless we want the get creative and expensive to climb over the wall.

Oh, well if it is your first time I will throw out a few more hints then. PBP is inherently a slow medium of roleplaying, so anything that speeds up the process without changing the game significantly is good. The GM should roll Initiative for everyone. This allows the first round of combat to be set up right away and players can jump into that action instead of waiting a day for everyone to log on and make a single, brainless die roll. The GM should roll Saves for characters when the outcome will impact the flow of combat. A Will save vs Hold Person will change the decisions of other characters while a save vs poison that deals 1d2 stat damage is not a big deal to other characters and the player can roll it for themselves when they post. Don’t be afraid to move the story along. If a side conversation is taking too long, skip it and move on with the plot. You don’t need to wait for everyone to post before taking the next step. The GM sets the pace for these games. We don’t want to stall out and be here for 3 months. For myself, I lose interest if things are too slow and then my roleplaying quality and post rate declines rapidly. On the flip side, this medium provides a grand opportunity to play up NPC and PC interactions. Take the time to breath extra life into your NPCs that you would not have in a table top timeframe. As a GM, show off! As players we can rise to the occasion and enliven our PCs! I have several characters and my favorites are the ones I developed and fleshed out in PBP scenarios.

GM, if you post the link to the map in the short description section of the Campaign tab then it will show up at the top of the page. That's really nice so we don't need to hunt for the map post and you don't have to repost it all the time.
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Well, whether we do them or not, I at least want to know what they are!
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
I know. I would not have made up such a thing for my character. The item in question actually showed up in a scenario and my character took it along. I made the GM write it in on my chronicle. :)

Ah, but how many of those were taken from her bedchambers and painted in the presence of the real person?
Character Stats: Human Dawnflower Dervish 5 / Urban Barbarian 1
Zantir eyes the Aasimar. Brother? I don’t believe we have met. You certainly have not earned the right to use that moniker, Pathfinder.

Zantir is well dressed with a dashing style to his manor and a hint of alcohol on his breath. Rumor has it that he is a ladies man, even in somewhat unusual circumstances, and is not shy about it. It is also rumored that he carries with him a sensually revealing painting of Zarta Dranleen.
