I'm still trying to puzzle out the best way to make my character work class wise, as it is I'm not a huge fan of the Rogue/Slayer/Hunter combination, I'm thinking of perhaps redoing things so that she will be more nature focused. My current idea is to have her be a Hunter / Druid or Ranger / Cleric The layout I'm thinking of is
Druid 5(Pack Lord) Ranger(Skirmisher) 5, Nature Warden 10
Cleric (Animal/Plant?*) 10, Green Faith Acolyte 10
*Not sure on the second domain and with Boom Companion it would make the Nature Warden companion a fully advanced companion and the Cleric an 18. If a sort of stable 'camp' is created a good way to avoid having my build bog down combat with a million animals could be that two of her companions would remain with the camp to stand guard. If I start with Ranger on the second column then her second and third companions would not show up until level 4 which gives time to have her actually befriend some creatures rather than just having companions pop up!
I finally decided on the route I want to go and have a lot of the build down(still needs finishing but I like it so far) I decided to go with the vague idea I mentioned in my post(sickly/feeble character with a companion) shes going to be a Lizardfolk(amusingly this along with my rolls make it actually difficult to accomplish a particularly 'feeble' character, she has a 13 Strength currently so in my small backstory I attributed this to her having managed to grow stronger and more healthy under Goodwin's care) my current class structure is Unchained Rogue(Chameleon), Hunter, and Slayer(Stygian) my mental visual for her is a scrawny white scaled Lizardfolk with stunted height, she prefers to keep herself 'small' by crouching or remaining a bit hunched over from having originally been raised by Kobolds before Goodwin arrived. Her companion is the opposite, large and powerful horned Roc with feathers that have the patterns of the stars(Spirit Gift Heavens and Totem Beast Bull). I wish there was an easy way of bumping her companions intelligence up beyond 3 at level 1 but oh well. I'll be spending feats on building up there ability to work together, the main plan for combat is for my character to swat people with her tail and trip them(Tripping tail woo!) while her companion does the real damage. With Claw/Claw/Bite/Tail if I can get my character into flanking she can actually do some decent damage in spite of her low strength and lack of Finnesse Training's dex-to-damage ability(for now) which is nice.
I hope this is still open I saw in the info tab that there was a waiting list so I think I shall throw my hat into the ring. I have a question though if I were to take a combination such as Cavalier/Hunter/Whatever since Cavalier and Hunter companions essentially 'merge' due to both being Druid companions would it's progression be doubled? Could be fun to have a particularly powerful guardian animal, maybe paired with a sickly/feeble character whos talents are more in area of tactical know-how and tricks(Mesmerest perhaps as a third class, maybe an enhancement focused Psychic class) 5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 5, 2) = 16 5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 2, 5) = 18 5d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 6, 4) = 25 5d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 4, 4) = 21 5d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 1, 4) = 12 5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 3, 3) = 19 5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 4, 4) = 18
She still needs her familiar and a backstory but I present what I have so far. Still trying to figure out a really good familiar. Shes quite used to getting what she wants so this whole imprisonment thing will probably have her in a particularly foul mood!

Firstly I just want to check and see, is the lack of Slater as an option intentional? It seems like it would fit especially with the Bounty Hunter archetype, if so then I will work on a variation of my idea but that's what I'm hoping to do. With my array as it is and my plan to go with an Elgatos here is what I'm looking at with stats Str: 16
Not particularly bright but a pretty solid physical threat, I'm thinking of going a more melee claws-centric route in terms of combat(though with a sidearm for ranged combat purposes) If allowed I'd love to do Slayer(Bounty Hunter) but if not I might go Hunter or Ranger
I'm down for basically any variant rules though I likely do not have experiance with them and would need to adjust my understanding accordingly. Depending on the scale of what we want to actually be doing with the game I'm down to play a pretty wide variety of character types. The idea I'm most interested if it could be made to work would be to play the pilot of a trade ship of some sort. Captain Cosmos wrote: I'm interested in space opera or western. I would want to play a human or near human by the book navy or ex navy officer. Good to see a familiar face Zed *waves*

Will do! Quote:
then there is a long list of Prestige Classes with Dragon Disciple having Bloodrager as it's suitable class. It still ultimately falls into GM jurisdiction which is nice, I wonder if there is/will be any form of specific ruling made for Society Play? I imagine that sort of ruling would help people who might be on the fence. Also oh wow I just realized who you are :o I read your guide to get an idea on how to even start working on a DD back when I first used this general concept for a friends game. Love the guide, I also pointed another friend for inspiration for his Ninja DD
@DMJelani I have actually found something interesting, apparently in my haste to open up my Monster Codex I did not realize that along with it arrived my Advanced Class Origins book, inside which there is a list of the prestiege classes that are supposed to work with the new classes and Dragon Disciple is listed as intending to pair with the Bloodrager and that it is up to the DM whether (for any of the presiege classes) a class feature is an applicable substitute. Perhaps my initial concept is yet saved!
Those all scratch enough of my Outlaw Star itch for me to be 150% down for the Space Opera. Now I'll just be trying to keep a lid on my brainstorming and wait patiently until the check runs it's course and you make your decision. I'd also not be adverse to joining up in the Fantasy Western game since that looks quite interesting as well
Would throwing my hat into this ring be acceptable? Seems there is already a decent amount of interest but the chance to build something at such a high level rarely comes up. If my interest is acceptable I have a few questions, firstly a question about an interaction as I have yet to find an official word on it. What is your opinion on how Bloodrager and the Dragon Disciple classes interact, to me logic says that DD would progress the Draconic Bloodline for Bloodrager just as it does with a Sorcerer but I just want to make sure that you have the same thinking before going ahead with my idea. Secondly(if the first answer is 'yes') I was wondering if it would be possible to re flavor Alumni, in that perhaps my character did not actually graduate but for his time at College but still had the mentor relationship with Blood and once he departed the College kept in contact. I'm hoping to go Bloodrager 6 / Dragon Disciple 10 with a heavy influence on the rage being my character becoming more overwhelmed by 'the dragon' in a sort of hulk-style though over the years my character has gained much more control over the transformation able to reign in the aggression and act rationally when needed(probably though a lot of help from Blood)
This seems pretty awesome, lets see if lady luck is on my side for my rolls! 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 1) = 11 10
Thats a 17 so lets try that again 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 1) = 12 11
That's much better, 13,14,14,15,15,18 for a total of 44 Point buy. Now that stats are done it's time for a concept. Dfang what say you to the idea of a non-golarion born participant in this who worships a god that it shared between his world and Golarion? Specifically a Triaxian worshiper of Apsu for the Order side of things, thinking of going the Dragon Disciple route at the moment(Using Bloodrager if Dragon Disciple and it count in terms of how the prestige class advances bloodlines)
Name: Mei Hon the Desert's Flower Concept: A quiet and artistic sandbender of noble birth looking to find her own way in the world. Backstory: Mei is the youngest child of the Hon family of the Si Fong Desert, the Hon family has for many generations been charged with governing the Si Fong Desert to the best of there ability, primarily based out of a large city on the outskirts of the desert itself there is little actual ability to govern the whole of the desert and as such the actual governance is primarily over the city in which the Hon family has lived since becoming 'noble'. Much of Mei's early life was very simple, there was no extreme pressure placed on her by her parents as already many of the major roles that would need to be filled would inevitably be filled by her eldest siblings, being the youngest by five years Mei was raised with the freedom to put her passion into whatever she found interesting, she enjoyed a youth being able to focus on learning having access to the same tutors her siblings had when they were her age, Mei found a passion for art very early in life, drawing and sculpting were her greatest passions and when she began to display the ability to Earthbend as was fairly common within the Hon family she was given tutors who could aid her in learning and controlling her new talent. Mei's first and favorite Bending Tutor was a Sandbender from a tribe that did a significant amount of business with the town, in exchange for an increase in trade between them he came to stay with the Hon family in order to tutor Mei, he taught Mei not only the traditional form of Earthbending but also aided her in the progression into Sandbending, a useful skill for those who lived within the desert. Mei took to Sandbending like a fish to water, where she had always had issues with the rigid nature of traditional Earthbending the more agile and 'free' nature of Sandbending suited the tiny girl very well and as she grew older her skill with both forms grew though it was always quite clear which was her favored style. Now nearly an adult Mei has begun to find her life of relative freedom a bit lacking, where her siblings have all gone on to taking there various positions in the governance of the town Mei finds herself with little to do, simply continuing her training with Earthbending and art seemed so lacking when compared to what her siblings were accomplishing, Mei however found a ray of hope in the form of the Order of the White Lotus. ((If you want more I have more in mind, I have vague concepts of little stories fo where her individual talents all sprung up from in training but none of it was quite 'zuko' tier stuff that I felt warranted a massive back story write up)) Personality:
Description:
Build preview:
Important Ability Scores: Mei's likely most important scores are fighting, agility, awareness, and intelligence in no particular order. Advantages: Mei makes use of many of the 'improved' advantages Diarm/Grab/Trip/Hold/Defense/Aim as they suit her style of disabling others or allowing her to protect herself if the time comes that someone reaches her, paired with Improved Defense is Weapon Bind to allow Mei the ability to potentially remove dangerous weapons from enemies that get too close. Some of the more flavor oriented advantages chosen are Well-Informed(Primarily knowledge she gained from being around big important dinners and learning odd bits of knowledge about he world from her tutors and parents) Favored Environment(Desert) (pretty self explanatory considering where she was raised), Wealth Tier 1(While she does not have full access to her family's wealth Mei still has access to a portion and often keeps on her person a fair amount of money often being a bit too trusting of people around her not to take advantage of her wealth or being potentially interested in stealing it, overall money has never been an issue for Mei and even as old as she is she does not quite understand the concept of being without), Animal-Empathy(Mei gets on very well with creatures of all shapes and sizes though it is often the larger and stranger creatures that catch her eye.) Skills: Mei has a pretty solid amount of skills(26 points invested at present) covering a variety of areas (i've got two Expertise that might be relevent and one msotly for fun( History and Nobility being the relevent, Sandshaping/Art as a the fun one) she only lacks points in Deception/Intimidation/Ranged Combat/Slight of Hand/Tech/Treatment
Powers: Meis powers at present are 3 items, her Earth/Sandbending array which features her ability to manipulate Earth and Sand to varying degrees of proficiency(Earth Move Object being lower in power to Sand Move Object) her ability to create mostly-permanent structures and objects(create 5) the ability to pop in and out of the earth/sand withBurrowing 3, and finally the ability to bind enemies with her sand, an Affliction 10) other than the array took two powers as mostly things that Mei ahs become proficient with in a manenr that they are not necessarily disrupted by other uses of her bending(i.e. the limitation on an array) these are Protection: 6(I am thinking of giving it subtle and making it work like Gaara's sand armor, simply appearing as if it is her true skin but in reality its a shell around her if that would be acceptable, otherwise it will jsut be a form of Earth-Armor) and the Tremorsense ability though Mei is not currently proficient enough with either the knowledge of the human body or the actual power to know when people are lying outright at present. I'm thinking of potentially having Mei have a young Badgermole as a companion. I have her mostly done on herolab though I am still working out exactly if I will use the badgermole or perhaps switch to something less points intense(actually building even a young one is proving quite expensive. I welcome all questions and comments on Mei in hopes of perhaps rounding her out a bit better.
Zeus and Mei should have an interesting dynamic between them being on opposite ends of the Earthbending spectrum! As for the power level I think perhaps Airon might have a a concept of where 'average' is in the Avatar setting as opposed to a strictly 'all the supers' setting. My preference if Airon is interested is for PL9 because I've got mei mostly stated out as PL8 but there are a few tweaks I would like to make that those extra 15 points would help with though this is all assuming the use of 3rd edition, if we go with second I'll end up using what I made for 3rd as my guideline.
Drat it appears Echos and I were on the same thought train for air benders! I wont be trying to step on any toes in regards to that sort of archetype so I think I shall swap my thought process over to Earthbending. At present my idea a noble born Earthbender from the Si Wong desert and would primarily use Sandbending skills, she would primarily use her skills for restraining opponents rather than directly attacking her style of manipulating the sand would be in the vein of waterbending along with some inspiration from Gaara from Naruto. Mei Hon is the working name I have for her right now. Power spending ideas right now are some affliction to represent her restraing oppponents(perhaps even an area version of the affliction to represent the creation of quicksand out of normal earth) and some create so that I can have some fun with her being artistic with her sand.
awww yeah more people showing interest, whats everyone thinking of doing with there characters? Also Arion how far along would are characters theoretically be? Like would we be fairly experienced benders? You mentioned us being White Lotus recruits but as far as I know we do not actually know how good recruits are supposed to be.
I've seen all of the original and all of Korra(well at least all that is currently out, just watched 4 and 5 of Season 3) I'm not sure what I would prefer to play for this, both Air Bender and Earth speak to me greatly though for Air my concept would probably need OKing by the DM first before I start work. Looks like we have 6 interested parties with a potential 7th if Edward's other recruitment falls through.

I'm not sure on a specific location at the moment so if you have any preferences/suggestions I'm open otherwise I will figure out something before the game begins. I am however thinking of switching it up slightly using a different base setup as now that I think of it as cool as the abandoned subway concept is it sort of falls apart when I put thought into location and access to the building. Instead I think I will go with a 'Urban Fortress' which is concealed to appear as a homeless shelter(and perhaps does actually function as such on the outside) Points wise it ends up costing the same as the SubwayCradle but trades off points in the security system and concealed for a few added defenses(I would prefer not to have the 'Defense System' but its required by the basis of Urban Fortress) and being a physically larger and tougher building. The new cradle is as such Cradle 2.0:
Urban Fortress Toughness: 12 Size: Large Features: Personnel, Combat Simulator, Communications, Computer, Concealed 3, Defense System, Fire Prevention System, Garage, Gym, Holding Cells, Infirmary, Living Space, Power System, Security System 1, Workshop. Those who are actually apart of Jo's crew and not just those seeking shelter in the actual shelter portion of the Cradle are generally very loyal to her, they are people whom she has actively taken an interest in bettering the lives of, I see them all as a sort of big weird family of sorts. There would be probably 3 entrances into the cradle the first being the obvious entrance through the main doors of the actual Shelter though to access the 'real' parts one would need to get past security measures and probably a few of the Cradle Personnel guarding it, the second would be some form of rooftop entrance and the third a form of almost literal 'back door' that avoids accidental use by A) being secured in a manner that (outside of successful tech roll) only Jo's crew could get into it(I like the idea of a keypad lock that is actually a fingerprint scanner as one of the primary methods of security throughout the building) The Cradle is both to an extent openly known and completely unknown, its face of being a homeless shelter is fairly well known as its perhaps one of the better shelters in the city, few actually realize that its other purpose is to be the hideout for The Cat.
Alrighty! Finally got something together that feels 'right' now all I really need is some critique on if the character would actually be functional. Jo is not much of a fighter she prefers to never be spotted in the first place but when she does have to get into combat she prefers to focus on disabling her opponents and when faced with multiple opponents uses them against one another rather than fighting directly. The Cat:
Name: Joanna Landon 'Hero' Name:
Mark Placement:
Abilities:
Defenses:
Advantages:
Equipment:
Vehicle:
Base:
Skills:
Powers:
Catsuit: (Total 6 Points)
The Hideaway: Joanna's base of operations is a long forgotten subway station that has been completely reconfigured to suit her work adding more or less everything that Jo and the others might find necessary for day to day life along with a number of extra's. The Cage: The name for the holding cells built into The Hideaway these cells very rarely actually receive use, the few times they have been used however it was for the most part just Jo tossing someone in over night in order to give them time to cool down(if powers have been cropping up slowly over time they also likely were used to give those who cannot control themselves because of there power somewhere to stay for a while while they regain control) Personnel: The Hideaway is maintained by people who Jo has 'taken in' mostly those with nowhere to go and interesting skills who could use somewhere to learn to develop them and a place off the streets, in return for a roof over there heads and a bit of training they keep the Hideaway up and running while Jo is away along with providing information for Jo while she is working through the link between the Cowl and the Hideaway's computer system.
Ace is really cool, hell all of Batman Beyond was really cool... Me being reminded of Batman Beyond may be problematic as I've started gearing my character in a sort of 'batman' style even before this(focus on skills and advantages with a couple of neat powers that are actually just advanced equipment.) I am using the free version of HeroLab so should I work on transferring the character information into text format or is there a tricky way that I could get the program to output my character for me?
Hello all, so I've been throwing a few concepts around and for the moment(unless vetoed, the idea is a slowly reforming 'villian' with skills in line with a sort of cat woman concept. She's spent a long while as a thief but has engaged in nothing overtly violent(unless confronted by a hero who she could not escape) but has since started to pull away from that life. I have a slightly greater description of her but.typing on my phone is a bit of a pain. I have her worked out on herolab but almost certainly need some critique. She's designed with.skills/stealth and grappleing/tripping in mind with some fun gadgets and a small scale base. She's Got very few actual powers as a result
If still a possibility I'd like to get on that Alternatives/Waiting list even if it seems unlikely I'll get in it's worth a try. I love M&M 3e and even better love playing a character still getting used to there powers, I'm always the one DMing M&M in my group so heres hoping I get to play for once! *crosses fingers*

huh.. you know after reviewing the list for RP abilities there actually is not that much there that is not already covered by the Summoner/Eidolon list. Back when I made that comment I was thinking more in terms of Spell Like Abilities but now I do not think I'd really need many more and even if i DO I can get a good variety of things from the magic evolution. I think perhaps I just assumed that the Eidolons were far more limited than I had anticipated and perhaps got caught up in the idea of stealing racial abilities but the majority of those are feats and bonuses to skills which I can accomplish with EP and just actually obtaining those feats/skill ranks. 'Clikk eats a particularly impressive Drow Bard and now knows how to pay a lute!' (Spends EP on Skilled: Preform(String))
Heres my proposition for Clikk
Clikk the Hunter from Beyond:
Type: Aberration (3 RP)
Taits-
Total: 27 Clikk begins with 1 Hit Die, a +2 natural armor bonus, and the evasion ability. As an Clikks Hit Dice increase (see Evolution Points, below), it gains additional bonuses and abilities. At 2 Hit Dice, and every 3 HD thereafter, an Clikk's base armor bonus increases by +2. This bonus may be split between an armor bonus and a natural armor bonus. Also at 2 Hit Dice, and every 3 HD thereafter, an Clikk adds +1 to both its Strength and Dexterity scores. At 5 Hit Dice, and every 4 HD thereafter, an Clikk adds +1 to any one of its ability scores. At 7 Hit Dice, an Clikk gains Multiattack as a bonus feat. Progression would be as such Level 1: +8 Evolution Pionts / +2Na / Evasion
Assuming my race and the Unfettered Eidolon's advancement equates to the 2 'bonus' levels that would give me 14 Evolution Points to work with, ideally if possible to spend on things from the Summoner Eidolon's list as the Unfettered List is a bit lacking. I'll give full explanation on where each evolution comes from as well!

Clikk looks down at the newcomer its scent new and interesting, it was very rare that something so strange ventured so far into her territory, once she had laid claim to the settlement most of the 'apex' predators had packed up and moved on to 'greener pastures' those that had stayed became fuel for her evolution they gave her claws and fury and most importantly information. Not much as the predators of the forests were not very bright. But enough. But this little newcomer was interesting, its scent so strange but yet somehow familiar. Clikk opened her mouth and made the sound that was her namesake, a series of almost chirplike clicks that would soon be followed by voices. Dozens of voices swarming about the little insectoid creature saying a single word 'hello?' the voices belonged to those that had become apart of Clikk, men women children, she favored a child's voice though and the sound of a young girl speaking elven would be the most pervasive among the sea of voices.
