Yoren Level 2 fighter.

Hi! Welcome back. I'm still game. Yoren, level 2 fighter. (still my first and only PFS character)

I'm up. Or down. Or whatever direction indicates participation.

Cool, thanks Gabe. No worries about the delay. Still new to everything so I'll play whatever.

If I'm not mistaken this makes level 2 for little old Yoren. Something I've never done before in PFS, or pathfinder at all. I allocated his stats with the idea I would pick up some combat maneuvers, but now I see the difference a single stat point can make and think maybe I should just focus on smashing. Food for thought.

Yoren snorts.

"Took him long enough to get here, I wonder if he really wants it after all?"

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Yoren again follows behind Hadassah, hoping she can time her movements better than he can.

Aid Other(perception): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

"Ha take that you stupid ch... Hey! Let go! Augh!"

Break Free!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Incensed at the indignity of being manhandled by a chair Yoren makes a mighty effort to break free.

"Still better than another goblin!"

Yoren swings at the chair.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 = 12

"Hey Telurion, at least it's not a sewer!"

Yoren follows along as best as he is able.

Yoren follows behind Hadassah, trying to pay attention.

Aid Other{Perception}: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Yoren watches Telurion tear up the painting. "Good riddance to that I guess."He mutters with a shrug.

"I guess they're hiding other secrets in here then what we're after. What's through that other door?"

"Good show fellows!"

Heartened, Yoren takes another swing.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4) + 5 = 15

But his blow lacks the authority of Telurion's strike.

"Hey that's good thinking Boom... whoa, what the heck are these things? Not goblins anyway. That's good i guess. Had my fill of them.

Yoren pulls out his sword and takes a swing, taking a 5 foot step if needed to make himself as prominent a target as possible to the flying creatures.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

But as so often is the case his attempt at heroics come to nothing, surprise and cramped conditions lead to a pitiful swing.

"I miss the goblins."

Yoren quickly joins Telurion in his search.

perception(aid other): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Yoren takes a deep breath and tries to follow Telurion as silently as possible.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Yoren follows behind Hadassah, feeling out of his depth.

Aid Other, Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

"Begging your pardon ma'am, on any other day we'd not think to try and rush the proper process but we've been entrusted with a task. The contents of this pouch need to be in front of your ambassador as soon as possible, it's time sensitive information you see. To turn back now would be to fail in our mission, so if need be we'll have to stay here all night. That's why we persuaded this dedicated young lady to summon you, we need someone with the authority to put us in touch with the ambassador as fast as can be. We know you don't have time for errands, so we're not asking you to go find him or anything. But you could let us into the waiting room and there we'll stay as long as it takes, quiet as so many mice."

Yoren shrugs in response to Zondras' comments.

My friend I doubt anyone could make a worse spy than myself. Maybe we can make contest out of who can bungle this mission the the worst? I mean the worst we could do is get an important pathfinder killed and ruin relations between Cheliax and Absolam. On second thought, that sounds pretty bad. Let's not do that.

At any rate there don't seem to be any goblins or sewers involved, so I'm all for it.

Welcome to the new players! I think our group looks good as it is. I'll try to finish spending some gold tonight and I'm good to go. Looking forward to the next round.

Thanks for sticking with us Gabe, it's been fun. I'd be happy to continue. I have no real preference about what to play next, as it's all new to me.

Yoren looks at his arm in dismay.

"Ye gods it never ends! I'm not suffering this one moment longer than necessary. I'll find a cleric of one of the friendlier gods around here and see what a stack of gold achieves!"

Yoren will spend the 150 gold to cure the disease and hopefully be done with it.

Yoren ignores the simpering goblins entirely.

"Good shot Zondras! I'll admit, she was as tough as she was ugly."

Yoren looks around a bit.

"Do we have anything left to learn here? I don't want to touch anything. I'm tempted to go find that sniveling Versevosh and haul him off to the guards for lying to us, but it's been a long day."

Yoren swings at Inlokar, trying desperately to finish her off.

Going for Nius

Wand of Cure Light Wounds on Telurion
Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Nius moves forward to within 30 feet of Inlokar and uses his stormburst attack.

Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

"Telurion! You look awfully alone up there!

Yoren will move into melee, if possible he will skirt around the mess on the floor. If not Reflex Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Attack Inlokar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 = 12

Hmm, pretty much failed at everything!

Feeling a little slow on the uptake Yoren watches his companions hustle for cover.

"Er, good idea!"

Yoren moves to the pillar behind Mifune and draws his sword.

"We're not sending anyone forward, you can hear just fine where you are. Your flunkies can run off to forge new, no doubt law abiding, lives. In fact I recommend they do that now. You lay down your weapons and surrender yourself and you can keep your head. To make it clear, you put weapons down, hands on your head and walk slowly forward. Goblins cast down your weapons and flee now! Otherwise, somebody dies here, do you goblins honestly think it won't be you?"

"My friend has had an awfully hard day so he's a little brusque but I'm going to have to agree with everything he said. And my mother is a saint! By the way nice place you've got here, the layer offal really complements your looks and charm. If it's not clear, I'm saying you're ugly and this place stinks. Frankly, I"m willing to kill you simply over what might have happened to the dogs that were here, but I'll accept a surrender, reluctantly."

"Eh, I don't really know what most of this stuff is, anyone want any of it?"

The regular weapons and and spell components get tossed in the water. If nobody has anything else to say Yoren heads down the hallway.

"Well you're a grumpy little fellow, but I can forgive that given the promptness of your replies. Never the less we had best not leaves you with the means to stab us in the back."

Yoren searches the goblin for anything interesting or dangerous. Any run of the mill weapons or anything that might be spell components on the found on the goblin or his expired friends he pitches into the water.

"Well friends, shall we go meet the little lady?" Yoren prepares to follow the hallway north.

"Good, good! Now, what does this Inoklar do? Who is he? Can he fight? Does he cast spells? And who does Inoklar have with him? Are there any guards between us and him? What about traps?"

Presuming we can render the goblin stable and conscious, perhaps with Nius' assistanc.

"Alright little fellow, you gave it a good run but it's over now and it'd be best for you if you answered some questions promptly and truthfully. Let's start with what's your name? Who do you take orders from? Where are they? And what's down that hallway?"

Just a reminder, much as I hate to bring it up, Yoren also failed a disease save a while back.

Things don't look good for the Goblin. If he is still standing Yoren moves to attack, attempting to knock the goblin down.

Trip: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Everyone's gone crazy!

Yoren watches his companions behavior with bemusement.

"Cripes what's wrong with you fellows? It's just some goblin trick!"

I believe you may have gotten mine and Telurion's icons switched, by my reckoning I should be at the end of the bridge in front of a dead goblin.

Yoren takes a step forward and slashes at the remaining goblin, not wanting him to have the chance to cast another spell.

Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Unfortunately he was more rattled by his brush with the goblin's magic than he let on, leading to an embarrassingly bungled swipe with his blade.

Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Whatever that was goblin, it was creepy, but it's not going to save you!

"Was that some sort of goblin joke? I don't get it."

Moving slowly to avoid the caltrops Yoren advances across the bridge and swings at the goblin immediately in front of the leader.

Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9

"He doesn't seem scared Telurion!"

Yoren draws his sword and moves forward towards the bridge and the goblins. He will move as far as he can while still avoiding the caltrops.

"Hmm, a walkway over the channel, seems like a place a goblin might set a trap in case of charging warriors. Are we going to try and capture this fellow? Taking the leader out with a burst of ranged fire worked pretty well last time."

Oh, hi! Welcome back.

Once again, Yoren knows better than to attempt stealth himself.

"I'll hold here if someone wants to try and have a quiet peak at what these fellows up ahead are doing. Or I can just rush in and set off the first trap."

"I know, I know, you wouldn't have dreamed of doing terrible things by yourselves. Who are these folks that made you do this? We're looking for a chap named Versevosh, and the boss he answers to. Tell us all you know about them and you might just make it out of here alive."

"Aye little ones, you've got one chance to live! Stop now!"
Yoren also backs up Zondras' attempt to cow the goblins into submission.

Aid Other(intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

But in the excitement his voice cracks like a teenager and the goblins pay him little mind.

Those ledges look tough for a fighter in armor to surmount so Yoren decides to give his bow another try. He fires at the goblin next to the leader, hoping the flames will put an end to the leader soon.

shortbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Blast, will I never get the hang of these things?

But he misses in the wort way possible!

Yoren will hold until Eekie goes

Quietly Yoren muses "I wonder if they're making more of those flaming bottles. Suppose the stuff they're working with is flammable, maybe that bottle we looted could cause an unpleasant surprise if we lobbed it in their midst?"

Intelligence: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Yoren stops to listen. He will not attempt stealth.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

That covers divine well enough then. Maybe we need a skills character? An alchemist could cover some skills and add a little ranged punch to the mix. Just thinking out loud here.

I've been wondering if it might make sense for me to rebuild this character given our melee heavy composition. If Nius remains AFK we might benefit more from some divine support than from a fighter, or I could go with a ranger switch-hitter type to add some skills and ranged options to the mix.
