"Vell met, Venture Captain Jorsal and company. Yngvar Sundheim at your service. Ve have returned with the crusaders as instructed. Ve freed them from the clutches of a Balmorak demon after fighting off dretches and a vermlek. I regret to inform you that Sir Illivan perished by the hand of a nabasu demon in a valiant attempt to allow us to get away from the demon horde. If not for his valiant act, ve vould have surely been overrun. As it vas, ve managed to escape alive moments before the onslaught of the horde. I am pleased to report that the rest of the company is present."

Round 3

Yngvar moves up closer to the Brimorak to support Riegel and channels energy in a 30 foot burst. Selective Channel to avoid the Brimorak if needed.

"By the firey light of the Dawnflower, may your vounds be healed and may ve use her fire to destroy these fiends!"

Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8

A brilliant burst of healing light emanates from the cleric!

This should include Riegel, Sündr, and all of the crusaders.

Round 1

"By the Fire of the Dawnflower, we will smite these demons!"

Yngvar casts Bless upon his companions and a burst of good energy spreads out among his companions.

Yngvar will then drop from his horse and clutch his cold iron scimitar as he prepares for battle.

Knowledge, Planes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

"I'm afraid that I don't know much about the demon, but I believe we have met that feared Brimorak!"

Yngvar tightens his grip on his cold iron scimitar.

Liberty's Edge

Human (Ulfen) Cleric 5

Yngvar nods solemly as he hears Riegel's words.

The half orc speaks true!

After Rigel's inspiring words, the Ulfen cleric takes a deep breath and goes to speak with Sündr-dögünn. Yngvar speaks to her in his native tongue."Tilgi meg, min kjære, men kan du vennligst forklare meg hva som skjer her? Ingen synes å opptre normalt. Er vi under en mørk og ond magi som bringer om det verste i oss alle? Måtte Dawnflower lys brenne slike ting unna."

Skald:
"Forgive me, my dear, but can you kindly explain to me what is happening here? Nobody seems to acting normal. Are we under a dark and evil magic that brings about the worst in all of us? May the Dawnflower's light burn such things away."

Liberty's Edge

Human (Ulfen) Cleric 5

Casting guidance on himself and hoping to work with the crusader, Yngvar makes an effort to bring Ilivan around.

"Sir Ilivan, by the light of the Dawnflower and the Inheritor, you must tell me vhat is going on here! Ve need your experience and help. Talk to us and let us know vhat is happening! Talk to us, Sir!"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 1 = 24

Listening to the half orc's advice, Yngvar tries to help his friend.

" Sündr, my dear!" Yngvar exclaims, "Come with me, ve must depart this cursed place!" The cleric then grabs her horse and attempts to lead it away.

Does Yngvar have any idea what is happening? What skill check do you need? Sense Motive, Knowledge, Planes? Did Zos respond to Yngvar's questioning?

Liberty's Edge

Human (Ulfen) Cleric 5

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

"Zosimos, answer the question put forth to you by my companion. Vile you are at it, please tell me vhere you are from? This is for everyone's safety. Speak now or your own life vill be in danger!"

"In the heat of battle, it may not be so simple, but taking doon dretches vill feel rather easy compared to destroying the Brimorak! I cannot see any easy way about this."

Sündr-dögünn wrote:
"The bigger the better," the skald grins, "I'd rather have that one!"

"You do have an Ulfen heart, my dear. Your courage is an inspiration to us all!"

If there are more than one cold iron weapons, Yngvar will take a cold iron scimitar for extra protection.

Liberty's Edge

Human (Ulfen) Cleric 5

I will take 2 holy water and 2 cure moderate wounds potions. I wield a cold iron heavy mace. Do any of you need a cold iron weapon?

Knowledge, Planes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

"Do you see the charred hoof tracks of this creature. This appears to be a Brimorak. One of the more deadly sorts of demons. I suggest ve have our cold iron at the ready."

"Blessed Sarenrae, guide me this day and this moment to bring your will into this world. This man is in your need of help. Send me, use me that I may help this man find his faith!"

Yngvar casts guidance upon himself and turns to give Ilivan some words on faith.

"Sir Ilivan, vhy did you not bring this up vith the commander? It is clear you have strong feelings about this. I'm sure she vould have velcomed your input and your experience." Yngvar pauses a moment before continuing. "Forgive me for being so direct, but have you looked vithin and listened to the voice vithin us all? The Dawnflower vill hear your vords and give you strength vhen needed. If you do not have some faith, this line of vork can be difficult. Ve must give of ourselves each and every day and trust to the forces of good that are unseen! The present moment is the only time ve are given and it is up to us to decide how ve use it. Do not vorry about the past and future, for the battle is fought in the now. Do not let the shadow darken your heart, my friend, for the enemy vould like to have it do so, but trust me when I say the forces of light are on our side and the light vill always prevail. Now, Sir Ilivan of Erages, vill you join us in the task laid before us and bring you vealth of experience to our company?"

"Nicely done, my dear, Sündr! I see you have had most excellent training. Now come closer and let me tend to those wounds."

Yngvar gathers his companions and the villagers around. He then lifts his arms and declares in his native tongue, "Velsignet Dawnflower, med healing lys, lukke våre sår og reparere våre hjerter at vi har tur i ditt lys igjen!"

Skald:
"Blessed Dawnflower, with your healing light, close our wounds and mend our hearts that we have walk in your light again!"

The Ulfen priest channels positive energy in a 30 foot radius. A burst of radiant light brings healing energy throughout the area.

Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7

Once the villagers have been healed, Yngvar addresses them, "How are you my friends? How long have you had to endure such vretched demons?"

Sündr, I have not yet used inspired rage. Is there a penalty when I stop raging. Is the -1 to AC the only other draw back?

Yngvar comments to the peasant woman. "Do not fear my lady. The Dawnflower will forgive you for your actions, which is more than she will do for these vile creatures. They may be compelling you to attack at this moment, but with the blessed Sarenrae as my witness, I vill rid you of this evil at once!"

"Very well, Sir Ilivan. I will be prepared. I have just a few purchases to make."
