Yik Klik nods to the Chief, "Yes, Chief, I will do as requested. For now I must rest!" Taking his leave with a bow, he goes to a quiet place to rest.

"We bring back 28 eggs Chief, 14 are still missing. We learned he is form a human camp further away led by a deer lord. We were just resting quickly and then rejoining the others as soon as we can."
"Chief! We were almost successful. We brought back most of the eggs but some humans escaped on horses to a human place before we arrived, taking some of the eggs. The others made pursuit. We were tasked with the safe return of the eggs, and a prisoner for questioning." Yik Klik leans heavily on his spear, exhausted.
Yik Klik leans on his staff, thoroughly exhausted by the trek. "Yes take us to the chief so we can report. Then I will sleep!" Making sure the human is covered and guarded before he leaves, he turns and wanders into the den.
Yik Klik nods, "Agreed. Human! Come pick up all these eggs and come with us!" Completly ignoring the fact the human probably cannot understand Draconic, the most regal of languages, he gestures at the human and then the bags with the tip of his spear. "Hurry up!"
Yes splitting the party is dangerous simply because encounters are written for 4 or 5 PC's, when you are only 2-3 PC's you are in far greater danger.
Yik Klik nods to Oozulla and Feyrnmar as he listens to the plan. "Sounds like a good plan. We have many eggs though and a long march. The human mule would be of much use." Finishing packing the eggs, he goes to join Szzlax in cooking the humans, his mouth feeling very wet and his stomach growling with hunger.
Yik Klik nods to Fyrenmar and begins tending to the eggs. Gathering them together in their bags into the same locations, resuming his more prominent duty of egg handler of the tribe. Whispering prayers to Old Sharptooth to them as he goes about his work. He suddenly stops and begins sniffing the air. Turning around he sees Szzlax cooking the humans. "Szzlax, if you don't mind, could you make me some while I tend to the eggs? The hike through the night has made me ravenous! A feast would do us well!"
Yik Klik, seeing Yolp engaged with the last human runs down into the camp to begin helping in the search for the eggs.Seeing the bags, and how many there are, and how many are missing, he curses. Looking up he yells with Feynmar, "The last one must tell us where the others are!"
"Old Sharptooth brings his vengeance on you humans! The Sootscales will not suffer this theft!" Thrusting out his claw, Yik Klick lets loose a small arc of electricity at one of the further humans .

Yik Klik's nostrils flair in anger and he brings himself up to his greatest height, as he snaps sharply at the the burned kobold. 'Speak I'll of our god as you wish. Your death effects me very little. If you are so afraid of the sun, then you are welcome to wait until darkness. Perhaps if we track them during the day, we can come upon them at night. We do not know how fast they are going, if they are riding. We could wait till night and not catch them until the dawn breaks.' Yik Klik narrows his eyes and grips his staff. 'I would rather find the enemies with time to plan against them than to chase them all through the night.' The kobold snorts, 'Very well let us wait.'
Yik Klik huffs indignantly. "Old Sharptooth protects us. It is but his trials. We should recover these eggs as soon as we can! He will protect us." Yik Klik says this rather matter of factually. To think such kobolds are afraid of some sun. It is good I am here. He gathers his cloak and pack around him, and grips his spear. "There is little time to waste."
Yik Klik waits for a moment so that he could be heard by the chieftan. "Chief, do you know where the humans came from, or went to?"
Yik Klik's nostrils flared in fury at the desecration of the hatchery. "We will bring the judgement of Old Sharptooth down on these human-kind, and destroy them for such an atrocity Chief!" Stamping the butt of his spear down on the dirt angrily, "They will wish not to have crossed the Sootscale."

A kobold of overbearing confidence and self importance steps up and bows his head towards the chieftain, using planting the butt of his spear firmly in the dirt. Spreading his draconic wings back with a flash of bright red scales to give a larger silhouette and importance to his frame as he gives a toothy smile to the chieftain. "Chief Sootscale, it is as the other ones say. The Mites do not seem to be on the offensive for now. I do fear though they might be planning something. The disgusting creatures have always been tricky." Yik Klik says. "Old Sharptooth would find it pleasing if we were to drive the creatures form our lands, I am sure." he continued after a moment, licking his scaled mouth, relishing the though.

He felt an affinity towards the faith of Old Sharptooth right away, and began taking it with him everywhere he went. This included towards his duties as an egg hatcher. He would whisper sermons to the young unborn as they lay in the hatchery and to those other who would listen. He spread the ideals and philosophy of Old Sharptooth as if he had been born into it. He always regarded himself as especially touched, taking great pride in his red scales and wings. He has become very outspoken and supportive of the Old Sharptooth cult since the beginning and he feels his time is near that it will pay off.
