Xue Xinran's page

Very flavorful. I'm assuming a special at one of the cons is going to involve heading to city of brass, kicking butt and taking names. This is the third adventure I know of involving links to the city of brass.

It's a spellbook with a preparation ritual, a la Ultimate Magic. If you prepare spells as per the requirements then you get the boon. You also learn the spells from the book. I don't think it is useful for anyone but a wizard or arcanist - or a magus, though I don't think those are magi spells.

Edit: actually, a fair number are on the magi spell-list. It would actually be pretty great for a magus.

Am I to interpret the reward on this sheet that you can use 10 prestige points on this character to make a different character as an Oread? (actually, less since I have a character with Oreads favor - this one actually)

Xue gingerly asks Sorrina one final question. "What manner of might magic are thessse Ssssairazul's Tearssss?"

That was flurry of backstory there at the end which I kind comprehend. Just to recap, he's trying to get back in the Sultana Ashadieeyah - the leader of the earth genies, having been accused of stealing/losing the "Sairazul's Tears" - some sort of diamonds of worth (possibly magical?)

Seeing the creature revealed, Xue stirs the oliphaunt forward again, and it continues barrelling through the sonic perversion.

I don't have Kn: Engineering unfortunately and don't have Bardic Knowledge either so I can't make it untrained :(

Spellcraft? Might be a magic effect we can do something about.

"If we go back in, we musssst be quick about it!" Without hesitation, the Nagaji will race back across the room and see if the door can be opened.

Actually, maybe we can stop it? Anyone have any useful knowledges/magic to throw at this? Not Xue's bailiwick, sadly.

The nagaji grabs the nearest two pechs and places them upon the elephant, and quickly retreats from the room.

"Sssave ssssome of the knowledge!"

Xue looks hesitant at Harmonious' actions. "You want usss to subdue them inssstead?"

Thinking quickly the nagaji foregoes using his blade, instead lashing out with solid kicks.

Xue's fist whips quickly out, attempting to turn the blows from Savage; his aid is not enough, however.

Bodyguard/Combat reflexes for +4 AC on the first two attacks, neither changes the result of attacks on savage.

Xue stirs his mount on, plunging into the fray. The elephant tosses its head into the closest pech.

Xue ponders. "I met a 'fay' once - he wore a redcap and liked to sssstab people. I hope thessse 'fay' are not like thisss."

"Greetingssss. We too are Pathfinderssss." Xue quietly responds, curious - he's seen pitch black elves before, but not pitch black humans. The Nagaji stares, dubious.

Xue dismounts and bows. "Greetings, honorable Reyshal ik Jalman. I am known as Xue; my companions and I are Pathfinders, professional explorers and scholars. Our companions came here quite some time ago and perished, or perhaps even captured. We are here to retrieve their bodies - and theirselves, if they yet live. Three yet remain unaccounted for - Nissira, Master Westyr and Grave - all humans, like many of my companions.

Xue continues to race down the path towards his companions, cursing himself for letting himself get so far ahead of the group.

Totally shocked by his foes mysterious magical abilities to move through space, the Nagaji and his pet mammoth rush down the mountain to aid his allies.

I hope you are at leat getting good p values on expressed phenotype traits to make up for it, or whatever it is you botanist people do (I know you've told me, but I forgot the specifics. Something about Indiana and corn).

Xue and his purple oliphaunt trudge up the hill straight into the pinchers of the waiting beasts.

"Foul ceaturesssss!! Stand behind me!!". He falls into dragon style as he does so, and swings at the nearer creature.

With double move/squeezing I think the elephant gets to the 2nd bend/entrance to channel between rocks. I only have the feat that allows the AC to ignore penalty to hit AC, not the one for reducing move penalties.

Xue sniffs the air and shrugs at the speculation. The nagaji seems resolute in facing whatever danger awaits the group. He mounts my little elephant Red Trunk and begins to ascend first, taking the seemingly less treacherous path.

Not hearing of anything specifically dangerous from those more learned then himself, the Nagaji presses frorward, taking point. He wraps stalagtites with bits of string as he travels to mark the way.

The elephant will - somehow taking up the rear, squeezing into spaces the defy its girth.

the cavalier would like to keep his mount. It has narrow frame, so it can squeeze into medium w/o loss of AC/to hit; unless the passages look to be small size, in which case I'll leave it behind.

"Thisss soundsss like very dangerousss magic." The Nagaji seems uncomfortable over even the little bit he has heard thus far.

The nagaji settles to his knees and patiently sits. He tries to listen as the others carry on about magic stones and other worlds, but arcane matters stretch both the warriors expertise and mastery of Taldane.

Day Job roll: Xue is a bodyguard. Honorable, but unpaid.

The conversation continues on as the other agents query the luminaries of the Pathfinder Society, but a rhythmic thudding begins to punctuate the words. The thudding becomes louder and louder. The source of the distraction is soon apparent, as an elephant crests over the hill, ridden by a warrior arrayed in full plate. The beast looks strange - it is small and skinny for an elephant, but bigger then a man none-the-less.

Atop the creature is a warrior armored in full plate. He waves at the others, before commanding the beast to kneel and then adroitly leaping off his mount. He has a strange sword at his side - perhaps one of the unusual Tian-Xia blades.

Removing his armored helm reveals a strange creature underneath - a nagaji, a snake man with strange coloration; he has brown and yellow diamond patterns on his skin.

The nagaji bows. "I am here to serve and protect you, my honored fellowsss. I am Xue."

"My apologiesss for the delay. Red Trunk decided that he needed to eat grassss. The nagaji pats the elephant. "If he would just eat the eggs and birds I give him, like a proper beast I would have been here on time." The beast does seem to be somewhat undernourished...

Xue tries to block the champions blow, but the fighter's blade darts underneath his katana and leaves a deep gouge in Red Hair. The pair take advantage of Mrachi's distraction and attempt to finish off the champion and end the last gasp of a senseless struggle.

Xue is without gainful employ, since nobody will actually pay him as a Yojimbo.

Xue lunges in with his blade to parry Tymora's blade, stopping it inches from Red Hair's nose. Bodyguard for +4 AC, +1 haste puts the horse at AC 30

The pair then continue their advance, laying into the efreeti with blade and hoof in another perfect combination of serpentine and mammalian power.

They close with Tygora and the Nagaji puffs his chest. "You are a sssshameful ruler! I challenge your godhood!!"

All allies get a +1 circumstance bonus to hit Tygora while my challenge persists; I have a -2 AC against foes who are not Tygora.

Xue slices his Katana through the air in his hot-blooded serpentine fury! His horse attacks in equal anger!
