Stiehl9s submitting Xian-Sun still have to procure equipment but the crunch and flavor is done

almost another week with no word from our DM....doesn't look good.
Nice! Got a PM reply from Captain the other day and he's been beyond ill. Here's to a speedy recovery and this game back in action.

"Perhaps its best to avoid the village all together?" Xian asked almost to himself but he thought the question a valid one worth considering.
Having felt the same pull, Xian did not hesitate in following along with the others. He stayed mostly quiet lost in thoughts of how he came to be in this situation. His memory of the events leading up to his death eluded him but everything from his time in Hell's line was crystal clear... excepting this ghostly body of mine... The Shaolin banished such thoughts. He believed that the past and future were just illusion and to be attached to them was a mistake and in a battle would most likely result in bodily harm ... or worse...only the here and now matter... A fitting time to have such a revelation as the settlement came into view. Before a plan on how they would approach the settlement could be called be formed his attention was drawn to the woman that had apparently shadowed them from Hell. He took her greeting as a good sign and reciprocated in kind with his most formal greeting. His 'pai' spoke of the Shaolin's Buddhist belief of Yin and Yang and spreading knowledge to the four winds. 'Greetings Refeng, I am Xian-Sun Liong, you are more than welcome to join us. We should proceed with caution considering our current state.'
D'oh! Forgot all about that part.... working on it... but have no problems with anything you got already Captain.
Huh huh huh Xian chuckled at the Taoist's outburst and pondered his idea of reincarnation. Perhaps it will be that easy. Although is not everyday that souls free themselves from Hell's clutches. Maybe we have set a precedent. Think it will be noticed? Xian-Sun stood and regarded the eerie effect of being insubstantial... this could have its uses...
Inner Spirit you say?...interesting choice of words....isssnt it alwaysss sssso hatchling?...why yes it is... For Xian it was not so much concentration as it was a battle of wills. A part of him feared that aspect of himself and the other part reviled in its power. He gritted his teeth and unleashed his Id to begin the assault on his Ego. ...Claws raked and fangs flashed through his eternal enemy as his scaled sinuous body tore threw the microcosm of Man. His illusions of attachment to the self fell away in shreds. Webbed wings lifted him higher to gain advantage and he let the flames of his draconus breath gush forth and blast the last barrier into Emptiness.
Xian-Sun slowy approached where the warrior was and tried to see what the man was looking so intently at.
'What do you see?'
The man's proclamation of a way out set a smile on Xian-Sun's face and he quickly relayed the information to the others under his spell. We have one here who claims he knows a way out. I, for one, will follow him. Run wild through the mist if you insist but I assure you that it is no trick. The Shaolin wasted no more breath on the stubborn sprinter and hoped fervently that the other rebellious had heard and took note.
Did everyone just run in completely different directions?
The urge to lie came on strong as the sibilant voice sliced through his head...we knowsss the way hatchling...trussst usss... but Xian-Sun was in full control and he whispered back an honest answer. No, I do not. But there is neither line into Hell nor demon ogres in this direction.
Xian-Sun smirked at the chaos around him and realized this would be a good opportunity to slip out of line like the young lady before him had. The Shaolin warrior was impresed with the few others that had stood their ground and refused to be pushed around by the ogres. He softly hissed a spell and then whispered to the three others that had taken action instead of being hereded like sheep. 'Now is our chance. Over here. This way. Hurry. He began backstepping in the same direction he saw the woman go until he was sure the others were comng and the ogres werent.
Ok I have my magic items bought. I don't guess mundane items will have any effect. I might purchase a potion or two but again we can continue at any time. Appreciate the patience.
I'm finalizing equipment. Apologies for the delay. I'm working on it now. But don't let that hold the game up. I wont mind if I miss out on a bonus or two because of this.

Do wands, potions and such count against our 3 item limit?
The man was of an average height but seemed to somehow always be looking down at others and was of an average build from what anyone could tell yet there was a strength to his posture that was not common. He was dressed in the tangzhuong style, not lavish or thread bare but well cut in dark gray silk with a hint of crimson robes underneath and he had black, silk slippers with leather soles. A satchel hung over one shoulder and no weapons were evident. Xian-Sun stood with arms crossed watching the demon-ogres bully those waiting in line...sssuch impudence!...there wassss a time hatchling when we devoured onesss sssuch asss thessse on a whim...and here in Hell no lessss... Frowning as the hissing whispers in his mind once again lauded how powerful 'they' used to be, Xian chose to pay more attention to the others around him.
Through slitted eyes and long, hanging black hair he watched as one of their number slipped off, one attacked one of the demons of all things and two others attempted to bully the bullies... well who said that Hell wasn't interesting?... and this is just the line in... He called to mind a few spells that would be useful if things got out of hand but bided his time to see what transpired with the others first... the Shaolin do not act or react...they responded with intent...
Dotting....I still have a couple of minor things to do to complete Xian but I will I have it done today. Just need one more magic item.... Oh and I will add more to backstory....if you already have something in mind for how Xian died then go ahead. Else I can come up with something. Either way is cool with me.
Im really close too. just hashing out equipment...
Ok crunch complete, Just need to add everything up and rewrite into a neat profile but its all there for review now.
finally got some free time this weekend and will be cranking on the crunch. I got an outline started at least...
Oh cool, I had no idea we could take more than one...hmm....guess I'll bid on Tiger Subduing Palm and Shaolin Long Fist...might lean towards one more if possible. |
