Zhulong was born under rather ominous circumstances in Changdo but his parents deemed it a great honor. For their family to be blessed once again by a Dragon was no small thing and would elevate their standings in Changdo once Zhulong was old enough to proclaim his birthrights. Until then the strangeness of his birth would be kept as secret as possible to protect him. As soon as he was weened he was sent the sifu nun Ng Mui who ran the Liung Bukuon although she had no other students. She was a patient but strict sifu who taught him in the traditional methods. There are but a handful of Tou Dai’s taught this way and even less that can handle it. The first year of nothing but Snapping Turtle stance was brutal in more ways than one. But Zhulong wasn’t an ordinary student and he flowed through the techniques and forms quickly. The dreams of fire and glory began when Zhulong hit puberty and bothered the child and his training immensely. Sifu Ng Mui understood immediately and confided in him the auspiciousness of his birth. Hearing that he was the descendant of a dragon and covered in a soft, shell like covering at birth troubled him greatly at first. But then his sifu told him that she had been born the same way and that she was in fact his great Aunt! She took the time to explain the honor and responsibility of his birthright and how careful he would have to be in keeping his secret for now. His training changed drastically after that. Sifu Ng Mui was relentless in teaching him the Tao Liung. Merging magic and gong fu, the Way of the Dragon was an efficient if fierce system. Sifu Ng Mui also taught him how to apply the Liung philosophy to all aspects of his life. The dragon was eloquent, patient and knew how to bide its time and Zhulong would learn to be all of these things as well. The years passed by as he progressed in his training. Upon reaching adulthood Sifu had him perform the gong fu tea ceremony. This ancient tradition began with him kneeling as he poured his Sifu tea and symbolized Zhulong pledging to forever be a disciple of the Liung. After sipping the tea, his Sifu stood, clasped him on his shoulders and gently bid him to stand up as well. The ritual ended when Sifu Ng Mui gave him the new name of Xian-Sun Liong and said she had signed him up to compete in the Day of Exultation tournament. With his unorthodox Liung Style and absence of ego, Xian-Sun did well in the tournament. While he didnt win it all, he went far enough to garner attention from important people and political machinations. Afterwards at the Bukuon, Sifu Ng Mui congratulated him and gave him permission to come and go from the Bukuon at his leisure. Bidding him to visit his parents at the least. Xian-Sun bowed in respect and wondered at the timing of it all as he still held the formal letter from a Lady Taishi requesting his presence…
Appearance:
Xian-Sun was a man of an average height and build but seemed taller and stronger from what most said was his indomitable spirit and the honor of his birthright. His changshan was dark gray silk with a crimson lining, his black slacks ended loosely over black, silk slippers with leather soles and his well cut coat fit snug with the frog fasters braided in grey. His long, black hair hung loose and framed an attractive, sharp featured face. A satchel hung over one shoulder and no weapons were evident. Dragon Disciple:
