Male Human (Chinese-American)

Incredibly sorry, guys, I had a couple of busy days going into the weekend.

Zhi looks up as the gang members open up on him, and he sidesteps and dodges, moving with grace well beyond the normal man. Still, he can only do so much, and a few of the bullets connect. A couple ricochet off of his hardened body, leaving only small puffs of dust in their wake, but one is on point, and he grunts as he feels it pound into the terracotta. "Didn't learn much about playing nice with others, did we?" He steps up to the man he already hit once and then leaps up from the ground, delivering a midair spinning chop to the side of his head.

Unarmed Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 Explosion: 1d6 ⇒ 3 Total x 3 = 45
Unarmed Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7 x 2 = 14

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi--no, the South Fist--looks down at the gangland firefight below him, and he shakes his head as he sees that Vengeance is about to jump down. I don't care what he says, those claws are gonna mess people up. And we aren't gonna get any more out of him while this is happening... which means we've got to get in there. He takes a breath and darts forward. I can't believe I get to do this.

Again he steps off of the ground and soars out, easily seeming to break free from gravity itself as he sails through the air. His target is the Black Bone at the mouth of the alley across the street, and he flies through the air, aiming straight for the man. He never even touches the ground before he reaches the gang member, leading with a spinning kick to the man's chest. As he does so, he can't help the cheesy one-liner that springs to mind. "Sorry to drop in like this, boys!"

Using Super Jump to move 10 squares, and making an unarmed attack against this goon. I'm not sure how diagonal movement or attacking while on the move works in this system, but ideally I'd love to end up in the alley myself if at all possible--either kicking off and jumping over the guy, or just "riding" him into the alley if my attack knocks him out.
Unarmed Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9x3 = 27
Unarmed Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7x2 = 14

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi nods. "Yeah, sounds like trouble." With a grin on his face, he dashes several steps toward the warehouse and then kicks off from the ground, seeming to soar through the air like a feather in the wind, far further and faster than any human should. (Using Super Jump.)

"So... we believe this guy? Or is he full of it?" Zhi whispers, just loud enough for the URGENT communicators to relay his message. He creeps forward, trying to keep pace with Predator-X. In his mind he tells himself it's because they're a team, and that's what they're supposed to do... and totally not because this Vengeance character is creeping the piss out of him now that they can see him in person.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

"Pretty quick on his feet, isn't he?" Zhi looks at the others and winks. "Good thing we can move quick, too. Wanna see if we can sneak up and have a nice chat with our buddy there?"

Male Human (Chinese-American)

"General patrol? Sounds like the good old days. Count me in."

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Sorry for my absence.

Zhi sticks with the group through their continuing investigations, but barring much for him to contribute, he mostly keeps an eye out and mulls things over. When they reach the Esso, though, T-Biz's question raises an eyebrow. The South Fist looks from himself to the others, one at a time, and then back to T-Biz. "Uh, look at us. I figured something like that would be obvious. We want justice."

After a moment, he chuckles and leans on the windowsill. "Anyway, specifically, we got pointed your way by a Mister Lee, of Lee's Grocery? He said you might know something about the murders that took place this morning. And that you had a run-in with a little someone called Vengeance." He taps one terracotta finger on the counter and shrugs. "Figured an upstanding citizen like yourself might be interested in helping us get that guy off the streets."

Male Human (Chinese-American)

"Jeez," Zhi comments, rubbing the back of his head. "Sounds like fun times ahead for us, then."

Male Human (Chinese-American)

I believe the old lady is near the first scene, where we are now. So I'd say let's talk to her now, then swing to the other scenes to see if we can't find any similar evidence or clues that add up to something. The more we have to run through the database, the better.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

"Well, sounds like we should check that out." Zhi turns toward the old woman, but pauses. "Uh, Wesk, maybe you oughtta take this one, too?"

He rubs his head and turns to the officers. "Hey, fellas. You don't happen to know if our buddy Vengeance is bulletproof, do you? Heard anything about that in reports or something?"

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi also lets Joe take the lead, knowing the other man has more skill with this sort of thing; meanwhile, Zhi keeps an eye out on the surroundings and stands by until needed. Hopefully we'll get to the action soon.

When Joe relays his findings, the South Fist raises an eyebrow and looks around. "Uh, is Vengeance bulletproof? The guy, not the idea. I know he has the claws and all, but that sounds like a whole other deal."

Although we may know or have heard something to that effect, I suppose, depending on the reports out of Destitution Drive and their reliability.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi sputters for a moment at Kenny's comeback, nearly spraying smoothie across the room. As the team moves to go, he finishes his drink and nods to Pete and Captain Vitality as they arrive, listening closely to the veteran hero's briefing.

"Sniff some Vengeance? What, have you been reading old comics again?" Zhi snickers and shakes his head. "But yeah, we can take care of it, Captain. Count on us."

The young man steps back and focuses for a moment, his eye closing as his palms press together. After a few seconds, his whole body tenses, then surges with power. His body begins to take on a reddish-brown color and an earthen texture, spreading from his center to encompass his limbs in a matter of moments. When his arms relax, the South Fist stands before the group, a veritable living, breathing Terracotta Monk.

"Let's get this show on the road!" he says, pumping one fist. It shatters any grandeur of the image.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

"Whatever it is, we should stop it." Zhi's comment is delivered with his usual off-handed simplicity: if there's a crime, why not fight it? "It's not like we're doing anything else. And Kenny's gonna need a workout after those pancakes." He grins and winks at his comrade. Zhi himself is drinking a smoothie loaded with essential nutrients and a smell that would turn off anyone unused to the stuff.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Oh, sorry. By the picture I meant the alias profile picture.
<--This one. It works okay, but I don't love it.

Thanks for the combat advice! I'm looking forward to the game.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Checking in! Thanks for the invite. I think the profile is good to go, let me know if you need anything more. Picture is also subject to change, but it depends on if I can find a better one for a youngish-looking Chinese guy.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Alright, fair enough. Hope you enjoyed it, GM, and I look forward to you running something again in the future.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi gratefully accepts Buck's offer, although the ride is indeed awkwardly quiet to start. The Chinese boy eventually tries to start some small talk, though--"So, did you see the last, uh, Cowpokes game?" followed by a grin--and it serves to open things up a little bit. By the time they get back, Zhihao thanks Buck with a smile and perhaps makes some conversation regarding his bike.

When the group meets up again at the Pizza Barn, Zhi nods at Catalina's comment. "Yeah, it was... Pretty unreal, you know? Like a nightmare." He shakes his head, but piques up at Buck's announcement and the baggy. "Weird. Do you think it had something to do with... them?"

Male Human (Chinese-American)

As he hears the cop sirens, Zhi's eyes widen and he darts up, quietly looking out the trailer window. Upon seeing them arriving, he makes for the back window and quickly drops out, then begins picking his way through the trailer park in another direction, moving low and quiet. Cops in America might be mostly in it for the right reasons, but old habits die hard, and Zhi isn't looking to find out how honorable these guys are.

Stealth: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 3

As he slips away, Zhi hopes his friends will understand--he hasn't told them a lot about his past, but bits have slipped out, and they know about his snafu with immigration. It's a long walk back to the pizza place if nobody picks him up on the way, but that's okay if it means not spending the night in a cell.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi blinks and pauses as the zombies suddenly stop moving and fall to the ground. He also stares openly at Bryce's continued stabbing for a moment, then shakes his head. Americans. Figuring it's probably safe to exit through the door, now, Zhi begins heading that way... and then detours over to MeMaw, wondering if the woman is at all okay.

Healing: 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1
Wild: 1d6 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0 I'm figuring Healing is the most appropriate skill for this, but Zhihao doesn't exactly know a lot about it.

The young man grabs at her wrist to feel for a pulse, but soon realizes he has no idea what he's doing.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Apologies for the extended absence.

Zhi dodges back from MeMaw's latest grabby bites, and gives her one final hit before falling back to the window with the others. He isn't planning on leaving before everyone else is out.

Fighting: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Wild: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ (5) + (2) = 7

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Strength: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Total 7, Success vs. MeMaw

Zhi grunts and grimaces as MeMaw snaps at him, her teeth falling out and trying to break free of his grip. "I'm sorry to do this, grandmother," he mutters, then lets go of the old woman and takes a step back, before snapping his foot forward in a straight kick to her solar plexus.

Fighting: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Wild: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Looks like karate club hasn't helped out yet. (No wonder, since Zhihao practices a form of kung fu.)

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Hey all, posting this in all my games to let people know I'll be away for a few days. My family is headed to camp later today, and I won't have Internet or my computer while I'm there. I should be back and posting Friday afternoon/evening (Eastern Time), but please push the game as needed, botting my character if you need to do so. Thanks!

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi reacts quickly with a start when MeMaw starts moving, and he instantly stops looking for a wrench. Instead, he rushes over to try and restrain the woman for the moment, figuring Brittany may not be happy if they beat her grandmother unnecessarily. I'll be using Fighting to try and Grapple the old woman.

Fighting: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 2 Total of 9.
Wild: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

"Grandmother!" he says, putting the old woman in a defensive hold. "We're friends! Friends of Brittany!"

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Wouldn't Bryce have gone with the others? Zhi, Katrina, and Buck were the only ones staying behind, so most of the group would be with Brittany to check out the office.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi lets out an impressed puff of air at Buck's display, even if it didn't succeed. "Maybe there's a wrench or something?" he suggests. He starts to cast about, looking for any tools that might be in the trailer.

Notice: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 4 Total 10

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi looks back and forth between the unresponsive MeMaw, the creepy plaque on the wall, and Brittany's worried expression. When James finally tells her what's already apparent, Zhi steps forward and puts a hand on her shoulder. "Come on. You should go talk to Jimmy. I'll stay here, I'll call if anything happens, okay? Right away."

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhihao steps forward, keeping just behind James. There's something very wrong about this whole situation, and if anything's going to make it worse, it's the reaction--or lack of one--that'll come from prodding the old woman.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhihao steps out of Katrina's car--rolling up on a muscle bike isn't usually a good first impression, especially for a 'MeeMaw'--and glances around.

Notice: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 3

"Maybe some sort of outdoor party?" Zhi shrugs as he notices the speakers, but he doesn't notice the lack of air conditioning until someone points it out. "Do they have those here? Parties, I mean. Outside ones."

Male Human (Chinese-American)

"Yeah, waiting seems like the smart option," Zhi puts in. He also reaches for another slice of pizza, which only adds in favor of waiting.

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhihao nods at Brittany and takes a slice of pizza. "I'm happy to help. And if the last two weeks showed anything, James here needs at least two people watching his back."

Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhihao comes in shortly after Buck. He'd gotten a bit lost on his way ovr, still not quite used to the wide-open streets and vast layouts of Texas towns. As he comes in, he looks around for a moment before his eyes settle on the group, and a relieved smile spreads on his face as he finds the new friends who'd invited him out for a slice. He walks over and takes a seat, sliding easily into the booth.

"Hi. Sorry I'm late." His smile turns a little sheepish and reserved as he looks around the table. Although he has a noticeable accent, Zhihao is quite fluent in English--if it weren't for the occasional difference in pronunciation or hesitation when speaking, you'd swear he was American born and raised. He turns to anyone he doesn't know and offers a warm smile and a hand in greeting. "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Zhihao."

As a note, I imagine folks have come up with a nickname or two for Zhihao, but I'll leave it up to you guys to decide what they might be.

Loup Blanc here with Wu Zhihao King, Stranger in a Strange Land. Don't love the image, but there aren't a lot of good ones.
