Wimsy might be able to do something about that trap, but there's a different priority first. "Esskele, just get out of here," she says, though as her tools slide on the slippery cleanser he might not be in a condition to listen.

Knocked to 0 HP by a critical failure makes you Dying 2. Additional damage brings that to Dying 3. Not quite dead!

As Esskele attacks Wimsy circles around so that the Pathfinders can press the creature from all sides. Too close to use her bow, she raises an arm to slap at it--and then signals for Esskele to take the opening.

Ugh, I think I counted shortbow range and then also used that for banner range.
Replace Strike Hard! with ◆◆ Tactical Takedown. Miel can't quite get into melee range with half a Stride, so no save required. Mostly just saving an action for Inshin. Maybe.

It's not the save DCs of our fear effects, either, it's our Will DCs against fear effects. Some, like Demoralize, roll against our Will DCs instead of calling for a save.

Of course, you calculate your Will DC by adding your save bonus, so calling it out is a little redundant.

There's a reason Wimsy brings a portable pool of water with her. That reason has nothing to do with avoiding blasts of fire, but it still helps.

She's far enough away from the action that she has to move closer, which puts a bit of a limitation on her tactical assessment--the cloud of fumes isn't helping. "Bakal, there's an opening maybe!"

Wimsy isn't sure what's going on with Esskele, exactly, but it seems like the really need to deal with it.

Though with Miel engaging another enemy and Esskele out of it, the question of who best to gang up on the creature has an unfortunately obvious answer.

She shifts a little closer to the monster plant and then signals Bakal. The two of them step up together, Bakal pushing high as she swipes low with a spare arm.

Bakal is effectively surrounded, so taking down the thralls as quickly as possible seems a priority. Wimsy glances at Kazuuk. Igix looks like he might already not be alive, but they can do their best to help.

The good news is that the enemies surrounding Bakal fall quickly. Wimsy fires an arrow at one of the approaching creatures, while watching for an opening to strike at Igix a little more... gently. "And... now!"

RPGChronicles lets the GM add downtime income before creating the Chronicle so you don't have to bother with editing a pdf, so most online GMs offer to do that for you.

But it's actually up to the player anyway, so you can always add it yourself later (as long as it's before that character's next scenario).

(Also I think Inhin had another round to save Bakal, and could spend a Hero Point to prevent death.)

Wimsy mostly manages to duck down under the edge of her tank. She flicks a few specks out of her water, but it seems mostly okay.

Wimsy surveys the battlefield. The current positioning is remarkably poor for her prepared tactics, with Esskele and Bakal so far away from her and Miel not in range to attack. Well, no plan survives contact with the enemy, as they say.

She fires her bow at the enemy to which she has a clear line of fire, trying to clear a new position for herself so she can reassess from a new perspective.
That doesn't work either, so she focuses on assessing how these creatures fight.
