That's funny. I was just coming on these forums to ask the same question. Thanks for asking and thanks for answering!

Thank you for your quick reply, Sharaya. Shipping with Deck 2 in June will be fine. Just in case nobody told you recently, you're awesome! :)

Hello,

This is my first subscription order so I might be a bit confused. I ordered the WotR base set and received it, so no problems there. My confusion is with the Character Add-On pack. I thought it was supposed to come with the base set if the base set was the first order of the subscription. Looking at the order it appears that I was not charged for the add-on pack. Also, looking at my "My Subscriptions" page, I see upcoming adventure decks, but no character add-on pack in the queue. I have not received the character add-on pack nor does it appear to be listed anywhere in my upcoming subscriptions.
Sorry for the long-windedness and thanks for any help.

Wow. Answered in under 15 minutes! Thanks. That is what I was figuring but wanted some clarification.
Thanks again,

Hello fine people! Hopefully a quick and simple question. The WotR rulebook states on pages 21-22 that you add cohort cards to your hand after you have drawn your starting hand. I'm good so far. Let's say I'm playing Alain and have a starting hand of 4 cards. I draw my four cards and then add Alain's cohort Donovan. I now start with 5 cards in my hand. Now let's say it is the end of my first turn with Alain and I did not play any cards and still have the 5 cards I started with in my hand. Do I now have to discard one of my cards to get my hand size down to 4 cards or is the cohort card considered a "free" card that does not count toward your hand size?
Thanks,
WCSD

Welcome, welcome. From the previous posts, you appear to be the target demographic! I am of similar vintage and I am playing through RotR with my 11 year old daughter and 9 year old son. They both do pretty good at knowing which dice to roll, but as said earlier, sometimes need help understanding the nuances of some of the cards (who doesn't?!).
I have found this forum community to be extremely helpful answering any questions (sometimes over and over) that you may have. I mostly lurk, but have learned more about this game from these forums than anywhere else.

Welcome, Toy4x4!

I will probably get ninja'd because I'm a slow typist.

1. You deal your starting hand out of your character deck. Harsk's hand is five cards. The hand size is found on each character card. Those are the ones you can look at, play, give to another character, etc.

2. You do not get to close the location for monsters, only henchmen and villains. The bane cards are marked as such.

3. You are correct with that.

I have only been playing for a short time as well. I am on the first adventure deck of RotR and have been loving it. You will find the community here to be very helpful and knowledgeable.

I am also playing Harsk. Very durable and well-rounded in my opinion.
Hope this helps.
