Y'all, I've really enjoyed this table. Excellent players/GM all around and it was just plain fun :)

If I come back to PbP, I'll definitely hit y'all up! Best of luck with the AP and think of Wallace when you're about to do something heroic :P

Wallace sighs inaudibly as his words are met with nothing but acceptance, even encouragement. "Thank you everyone. It has been an honor to serve with you. I'll do my best to send a message. Godspeed!" Snapping off a salute, he collects his things and heads off with Garmid.

Wallace glances downwards in shame at the sight of his father, but his face is gripped in a scowl when the vision turns to weighing the Orcish lives of their own knights. "Garmid... Did- did you see that?" he asks the Phantom in disbelief.

"That was my father, Brutus. We've never seen eye to eye, especially when it comes to Orcs, but he's a better knight than me. Always has been. Even trained as a Paladin, something I just wasn't cut out for," he admits to his translucent pal.

"I know the others are looking to escape here through earning those stamps, but I don't think there's enough time to stop this," he concludes, gesturing at the fading mists. "There has to be another way and I aim to find it. Will you join me on this quest? It would be an honor to fight with you in the name of all that is righteous, to free ourselves of this place and stop whatever... misguided plans Lyonette and my Father have concocted."

In the morning, once camp has been collapsed...
"My able companions, a word, please. Garmid and I saw unsettling visions in the mists during our watch. It was nothing so urgent so as to disrupt your rest, yet something that weighs heavily on my mind," he explains before reciting what he saw.

"I can't say what testing Lyonette has been conducting, however, my Father's stance on achieving victory, especially from Orcs, can be... heavy-handed at times. I don't make this decision lightly, but Garmid and I feel it is our sworn duty as Knights to find a way to stop this from happening. Every Knight knows any battle might be his last, but to willingly harm your own at the expense of the enemy is a step too far. The stamps we seek to escape this place is a good plan, but with only a week... I fear it isn't going to be fast enough. We'll be walking our own path from here on out in search of a faster way back to the Material," he concludes. With a soldier's practice he stands at attention, ready to weather any storm that may appear. Yet despite all his training and discipline, his eyes betray that his mind has been made up, no matter how heavy it makes his heart. We know what is soon to transpire and, for all the shame I've brought him, I don't think anyone else has a better chance of altering Father from this path than me. My strength is not in my sword, but in my heart. If I lose my sword, I have lost a tool. If I betray my heart, I have died. So sayeth the Inheritor.

"I'd normally suggest we rest inside the castle," Wallace begins. "But I can feel the eyes on me when I turn away. I agree with Garret, let's put some space between us and the castle so we can wake up with as many teeth as we went to sleep with." After the awkward encounter with Chompsky, he's all but certain some of the Toothfairies are plotting to get their 'just reward.'

"I'm in a similar place as Ketra, rest is all I'll need to be in top-shape tomorrow." He stretches his weary limbs. "With the time it takes to handle my armor, I'd rather take first or last watch. Garmid, I'd be honored by your vigilance, if you're willing."

I think most people here are aware of this, due to being in other games with me, but over the past couple of months I've been in the process of closing out all my PbP games and re-prioritizing my free time. Since the start of that process, the GM and I have worked out a suitable departure point, which is quite soon. I just wanted to make sure everyone had a heads up before Wallace gives his "good-bye" post in gameplay and my own in discussion!

The two things of immediate concern for y'all, in my humble opinion, are sorting the equipment he's been using (the adamantine warhammer and cold iron shortsword have already proven invaluable) and whether or not y'all want a replacement!

With the others heading back to the Queen, Wallace offers his hand to Chompsky. "Your strategic support was invaluable. We'd still be fighting if the other Toothfaries joined in," he acknowledges. "Because of your presence, only the Prince and his Angel had to perish. If not, either we'd have been overwhelmed or you'd experience the slaughter of half of your brethren. This was the best outcome by far."

Leaving the chanting to Garret, Wallace stows his warhammer, retrieves his shortsword, then, finally, to his backpack. Finding some cloth, he does his best to stop the rest of his blood from pouring out of his chin.

"There's a joke in here somewhere about a glass jaw, but I'm not quite sure what it is..." he says with a small smirk. "Nice work everyone, that went just about as well as it could have!"

Looks like Zsofia seals the deal on the Angel of Teef! :D

As their glassy foe crumbles to pieces, Wallace places himself between Ketra and Garret. "Great work, Zsofia!"

In the best position to protect his allies, he devotes his attention to getting his shield into place when the Prince Attacks.

With Zsofia aiming for the middle, the Knight does the same with a swing from the opposite direction. "My shield arm is only so long," he explains to the Phantom. "We'll crush it between our blows yet!"

Chin dripping with blood, Wallace staggers a bit from the blow. Seeing Zsofia taking it from the opposite side, he hazards a follow up swing before he fully regains his footing. To predictable results.

"Garmid, let's strike as one!" he calls to the Phantom. Firmly on his feet, he steps over to Ketra with his shield ready to intercept any blows.

I see Garmid on the tracker, but not on the map. Is he in Wallace's head? If so, I'd like to have him pop out and Inspire Courage (not currently included in bonuses)! Challenge, 5ft step, swing. Allies get +1 to hit the target of Wallace's challenge! While you typically count as your own ally, this seems like an exception based on my understanding of this ability.

Wallace nods. "We'll take the fight to the Prince. The Queen is as close to the lawful ruler of this place as one can get, in my eyes, anyways. I don't think the Prince has reason to suspect us, yet. I say we all get as close to that glass behemoth as we can and bring it down first," he suggests. Heaven knows we'll have a rough time of it either way. Those Toothfaries certainly out number us, but if we can at least get that brute out of the way, we'll persevere.

I feel like isolating/capturing Uspid is going to be easier than taking on what would likely be a mimic, tooth fairy queen, AND that damn soul-eater cat. The glass angel won't be a pushover, I'm sure, but I'd rather take that on and some tooth fairies!

"I thought so, but with the number of fairies they have about, they could make short work of it with some determination. I think you've concocted an excellent plan, Ketra. That stamp is what we need, so if the Queen can offer it, I see we take it and rid ourselves from this place!" Wallace says, honoring the screen's request to not peek.

Once everyone is ready, he approaches the door and knocks. "Excuse me, your Highness? Would you do us the honor of an audience?"

Wallace relinquishes the food. This doesn't really clarify our situation. Damn! I was hoping the case was more clear cut than this. The Queen is the legal ruler, but apparently unfit to rule. The Prince has staged a bit of a coup, but at least their people obey him.

He sighs. "What's our plan? I think our latest information muddies the waters a bit."

"Of course, your Highness, Wally or Mister Lunken, as it suits you," Wallace responds. Crazy, royalty, either way you allow them to refer to you as they please. He sighs inwardly at the indignity.

"Our rations are thin, however I'm sure we could scrape something together for a Queen?" he says, a little hesitantly, before looking at his allies. I hate to speak for them, but she seems to have latched onto me. Pulling his pack off of his shoulder, he retrieves a ration. Uncertain what the custom is among Toothfairy royalty, he raises it just enough to signal it is an offering but without committing to either the dummy or the screen.

Wallace will offer up a trail ration. I know food is sort of tight given that we are on the run with the clothes on our back, so, please, no pressure!

Wallace is reeling himself as more of his blood is forcefully exposed to the Boneyard. I am the first into battle, and the last to leave it!

Standing firm on his feet through sheer willpower, the knight steadies his shield and brings his hammer back. With the strength of a man on the edge, he delivers another crack to the Esobok's face.

On the topic of invisible zombies, I see no reason why a higher level caster or two couldn't just try and screw around with a party of PC's...

You could have a 5th level wizard be a total troll, turning easy fights into more serious (but not necessarily lethal) fights. Flies invisibly above the fight, drops a crowd control spell here, a buff on the enemies there. Flees once the PC's catch on. Talk about building up your primary antagonist XD

If nobody hears anything, he stows his shield and takes to battering the door. "I know this will work against our intentions, but we've no other option. I suggest we remain beyond the threshold, even after the door collapses."

Wallace unstoppers a potion once he's done the best he can for the Herald and throws it back, pinky only slightly up. He groans as his various puncture wounds close up and some strength returns to his limbs. "Magic can be quite the marvel..."

"Once we figure out what our 'bodyguard' will do, I think now is the best chance we have of having a frank discussion with the Queen," he points out.

GM, can we assume we take a minute to figure out who/what the Glass Boi is following? I figure the quickest way would be to move out of sight in various quantities with/without the Herald and see what we can figure out. If we bring the Herald with us (which Wallace would like to do, unless he is what the Mr Glassy is set to follow), he'll sling him like a baby across his chest. Loose enough to breath, but tight enough that he'd need help escaping.

"Urk!" Wallace grunts as the Necrophidius sinks it's teeth into him. As it pulls away, he tries to heed Garrett's advice and swings his shield at the pile of bones.
