Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Hrmm, enough for them to reposition without getting mobbed then.
Though our dragon friend resizing will likely involve quite a lot of crashing armor racks.

DM:

So the side of the room closest to the church is the tallest/ most defensible then?
Doubtless the weapons in here will be of questionable value but tipping armor racks sounds like a barrel of fun in this place.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

That reminds me, about how tall is this room? I'd figured the armory was going to be one of the taller ones but it would be good to know if there is enough room for our fliers to maneuver or our draco-ling to go full on dragon if the battle requires it.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

So far the dice gods seem to want us to get eaten by ghouls. Lets hope somebody in the group has better luck. Wallace's fort save is not stellar especially not when making multiple saves.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

I suddenly regret nobody having the chainsaw at the moment. Waste of a good undead horde right there.

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Wallace gives a shrug to the sourceless voice " See now you are just proving my point. Though I think it would be better to say that to your face."

" Well bards do tend to like underdogs but it is nice to have the upper hand. I prefer it to be honest. To that matter if any of you can restrict the movement of our approaching foes it would be wise to do so. Getting mobbed is not what I call a good time." The human replies as he looks to the draco-ling examining the room

So are these armor racks all connected? I was thinking knocking some over to create an improvised barricade on either side of us would make this easier. Wallace isn't going to be able to hold his own against a horde of ghouls after all.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace gives a faint smile as the presence sets about threatening his allies. The mans gaze turning to the weapon help in petrified fingers " Honor. Heh, well if it suits to drive you i'll respect it. However strength of arms is something I never held. He will die by us all the same." the man mutters as he gazes about the room.
" And as to you,Baron Skulks-Behind-Armor-Racks. I'm always surprised by the fact that centuries of life ensure a creatures arrogance rather then culling it. At least I'm able to fall back on being a young idiot. You have no idea who we are and already you are trying offers of employ? I'm happily employed already, thank you oh Baron Crouch" Wallace states as he smacks the pick against a nearby surface to draw a tone the human humming to match
" Frari, No. Warriors of Hiemhelm. Join me in an anthem of battle to make this creatures death memorable and painful."

Crunch: Turning on Countersong in hopes of banishing whatever nonsense Baron Von-Crouchenhiem is hiding behind and/or remove his dark whispers. What I'm hoping for is awesome dwarven back up in a similar style to the 'Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold'. Though doubtlessly the angry dwarf ghosts might have a different opinion.
Countersong: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace nods and gives his own grin in return. " Oh please do, its only good manners after all. Can't having these ghouls last thoughts being our rudeness. That would just be crass."
With a quick glance to the rest of the group the humans smile softens somewhat but still maintains a feral edge. " Now I doubt it needs be said but as Aradacemorn is knocking we should be all ready for what may come. Ready your weapons, gird your loins and all that rot."
The human juggling the various items of his preference in hand seeming to delay for a moment between holding his flag or holy symbol. Ultimately deciding on the symbol.
Note to self, find a way to strap this thing to my back or.. I suppose use magic to shrink it. Stick it on the back half of a long hammer or spear? Now that I think of it there are plenty of situations beside having my hand frozen by a possessing dwarven presence that could be useful in.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace stops his song as there is no one else to fight
Wallace gestures north, toward the doors on the other side of the hallway " Thats the armory, it should be big enough for you to stretch your wings in. Be cautious of the doors on either side, they'd be opportune for an ambush. There might be more warriors to come from the left but if they haven't left from hearing the sounds of battle they will likely wait until we come to them.

Move forward, opening doors with one of our warriors in front of it and dealing with anything there. Progress to the armory

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

No worries Corerue. That sucks.

I'm still in this having the excuse to play a cultist of an elder god is too much fun.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

So anyone feel like shooting ghouls with arrows and/or burning them?

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Didn't see this update. apologies for the wait.

As he was at the back of the formation rather than go for some overly optimistic at ranged combat Wallace begin humming a hymn of vaguely dangerous sounding words. Whatever they were seemed to help.

standard: Inspire courage, Move: Retrieve/ present banner. Blades enjoy a +2hit/damage/fear effects. NPC's not associated get +1's instead.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

So are we pressing onward? its a week and a half since the last post game and no activity from Maiathreen/Livain on this game. I'd really like to break some ghouls soon.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Man these poor ghouls just don't know whats coming at all. Its always amusing to see monsters running toward their death.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damn. best of luck for everyone else.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Take your time, its just good to know we are still active.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

So we good to keep going?

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

I take by the lack of response Wallace's suggestion for battle order/ path is good enough?

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Yeah, I figure we are going to get mobbed by ghouls regardless of our cunning plans.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Hope alls well in your world Corerue

So it occurs to me that once we get done with this adventure in the mountains our group will be able to return to the mercenary company and will finally have the chance to actually arrive in Iobaria.
I'll admit after all we've seen on the outskirts of this place to being excited as to what Corerue has waiting. Interacting with his jerk NPC's we've been getting to see the occasional post from should be some fun as well.

While we've not had many interactions with him I'm also interested to see how Livain's Dwarven forge master responds to our little adventure up here.

Plus yanno, the whole 'Dragon knows Wallace is full of crap' bit.
We keep managing to wander into the worst kinds of NPC's for Wallace being able to use his Eldrich powers without giving away the game. I find it quite amusing.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

" I didn't think of it earlier but here how I suggest we proceed. the hallways in here are fairly cramped so we are not likely going to be able to fit in any order but single file. If so why don't we have Aradacemorn go first, Maiathreen and Livian next, Rhavenna following with Aerea behind her. I'd be in the back." The human suggests as he looks at the door.
" Once we reach a spot where attacks from either side of our line becomes possible I'd suggest we have Rhavenna swap places with me so we can have a skilled warrior guarding both approaches."

With that he looks to the companys dragon
" Additionally the Armory is supposedly big enough that you'd be able to resume your natural form in it. Assuming the number of ghouls in this place is significant it would be a good place to reach first."

thats wallace's thoughts on the matter.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Yeah, 1d6 sounds right. Though if I remember correctly depending on GM interpretation certain items suited to the task of breaking stuff can ignore portions of hardness. In the same way sundering certain stuff can be impossible. EX: Sundering a rope with a mace. fortunately we have a super muscle halfling to punch doors open.

Wallace shrugs and gives a sidelong glance to the dragon " I mean they do already know we are here"

" As to the mans effects his weapon is dwarven craft, family forged. Its likely worth something but most likely worth more to his family if any remain. I doubt the ledger will tell us much without me reading the entire thing. I'll go ahead and take it but for now lets move onward. The Armory is just around the corner."

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace nods walking over to the door and presses a button on his anytool, the mystic object snapping into a sledgehammer form with several metallic pops. The priest grins and gestures to the tool, tipping it toward the locked door.
"Anyone feel like doing the honors? I've no skill in picking locks and I know a solid stone door is going to keep me out for much longer than it will either of you two" the human states gesturing to his centaur and dragon companions.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace walks over to the large desk with the pick resting on one shoulder. The human prodding the objects to test their safety before thumbing through the last few entries of the journal.
" Master ironbeard always was cowardly scrollhugger. Least now I know why he didn't make it. Couldn't give up his damned books and comfor-" The human drawls in a dialect of dwarven, motion stopping as he processes what he just said. The human giving a disconcerted smile as he looks to his party Well if they didn't figure it out already I best explain.
" The partial possession I've gotten myself into seems to be mostly benign. Just let it be known the scales on that could swing the other way, if I start swinging this pick at any of you know its not intentional. This ghost seems powerful and driven though, I doubt it will happen so long as we don't interfere with it's chance to take vengeance." the human informs as he takes the book and makes a point of actually reading the pages his rider had been thumbing through.

And amusingly Wallace does in fact have dwarven as a language.

" The door to the north likely contains the remains of this Ironbeard fellow. Shall we open the door to be sure nothing leaps out at us when we leave? If not the armory is directly down the hall to the north out this door." the priest suggests as he points to each door with the pick.

Be great if ol' ironbeard turns out to be a Revenant. I have some good memories of letting one of those beasties hunt down a major bad guy.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace nods gesturing to the hallway he had indicated before becoming distracted. " That hallway leads up, and in the direction I believe we want to go. Be on your guard, there will be more battles."

The path directly north of us that looks to lead into Level 2 bedroom/leaders quarters.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Livain, Maiathreen, got any actions for the occurring combat?
I figure unless the battle expands our traditional group is going to rip three ghouls to shreds in a round.
With a white dragon, even one in halfling form, and the teen bird witch its unlikely to last even that long.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Well I guess if the party is shooting arrows a buff is called for.

Wallace begins an only mildly disconcerting chant that seems to be helpful for one reason or another. Moving the side of Rhavenna in hopes of avoiding being eaten.
Activate bard song: inspire courage. +1 hit/+1 damage +1vs fear

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 I mean not that I can can see it yet but might as well be ready eh?

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Eh. depends on if I count in 60ft or not. Charge range is double normal movement after all. I also likely wouldn't die after a round of snacking. with 44 hp Wallace has a lot of face to snack on for a normal ghoul

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

And so the ghouls jumped on Wallace with a mighty yodel of victory and snacked on the juicy bits of his face.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

I think floor 2 is set to private at the moment but I'm figuring once everyone has killed this wave of ghouls we can head upstairs.

I imagine between us someone in the group will turn them into paste.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace gives a nod to Maiathreens kill and gestures to the closer door. "Lets head into the hallway, as the smaller force we are going to be at an advantage in a passage like that. There is quite possibly hundreds of ghouls in here we will want to leverage our strengths." With that wallace moves up to the open door, checking around the edge with a quick movement, pick at the ready.
perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

This is wallaces move action. I can't really act further unless I know what is in the hallway.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace nods and begins walking toward the indicated path.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Corerue:
Worked just fine for me.

Wallace looks distant for a moment, cheek twitching slightly as he turns his head to follow something for a few seconds. The man then coming back from whatever it was as he looks to the left.
" There's a passage on the left, it should lead up into the fortress. The tunnels are the lowest point. If we go further I think it leads into the rooms for processing ores and replacement mining equipment."

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

" They know we are here. Do we stay and prepare an ambush or advance and try to strike before they are ready?" Wallace states with conviction as he looks into the cavern. the human glancing at the pick as he first considers where everyone might gather once the gong was sounded and secondly where some of the better choke points were in the fortress. And perhaps how best to reach those places.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

That would be the decision by a landslide.

Wallace nudges one of the newly identified undead with his boot, nodding as he notes their various features.
"Unless any of you feel like now would be an excellent time to test those strange devices we found I'd say we ought to move on."

If no concerns of moving forward are voiced

"Keep an eye open. there are doubtlessly more of these poor souls and possibly whatever it was that made them in these winding halls." With that the human rests the pick on one shoulder and begins walking forward.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23 for finding things.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Are these dwarves rather obviously ghouls or did Wallace just crush a bunch of hapless miners?

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Welp. wasn't expecting that to happen.

Wallace stared dumbly at the pick, back up to the hole and then returning to the pick.
"Well..." the human starts weakly "That certainly lights the path forward. We seem to have crushed what might have been a vanguard, doubtless something heard that though." The man then goes to switch around his weapons and reprepare himself but stops looking at his hand instead. An opposing finger tapping on a hand with the dull thwock of stone. His right hand grinding audibly as the digets move slightly before settling back into a death grip on the ancient pick.
"Thats however, is going to make things somewhat harder. Fortunately a little petrification won't be putting me off, there are damsels to slay and monsters to rescue." The human jokes, mostly attempting to fool himself more than others about the somewhat concerning event unfolding.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace looks at the wall and then to the desperate tugging pick before grinning. " Well the enchantment that trapped you all here still remains. Lets see if it can still withstand you eh?" With that Wallace shuffles the items he'd been holding to free up both hands and swings at the wall with the pickaxe.

Assuming it does nothing

Wallace grins sheepishly and looks to rhavenna and Aradacmorn specifically. " Well that didn't work. Either of you think you could break through this? This is the path we need to follow."

It does something useful

Wallace looks at the wall, then back to the pick and shrugs continuing to work. " My anytool can be formed into a pick and you all can likely grab some tools from around here. The path is through here and I'm certainly not going to be able to do this alone. Help would be greatly appreciated."

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

You know I can see this dangling plot thread for Wallace to give this gent/lady a zap of the Ole' learny touch. Find out all sorts of things that happened which might even be relevant to the plot.
It seems to be hanging there in front of him.
Like a turkey leg on a rope.

Seems almost like it might backfire for some reason.

Any thoughts on what form of undead he'll comeback as one whatever disease Wallace failed to spot finishes ravaging him?
What with this being a mountain I'm betting Wendigo.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

" They're starving and exhausted, blinded as well along with what I can only assume is a laundry list of other maladies. Its a pitiable state but they do not seem interested or capable in harming us. I think they are hungry." The human informed, unsure of even the creatures gender as he tried to decide on how to treat the humanoid acting so much like a starving stray.
Not all who you encounter are foes thin one. the human smiles thinly seeming to be recalling something as he reaches into his gear and procures a heavily squashed bundle of rations. Wallace placing the package down and a canteen of water with the cap open next to it.

" Near as I can tell this one is in no danger of dying immediately, we should press forward. We can decide what to do here later on. The spirits are beginning to grow more insistent." The human suggested as he stood up and began striding to to wall the pick so desperately drove toward.

Assuming the Thin dragon-kin doesn't do something that would have Wallace respond he's following the Picks tug and examines the wall. As nothing so far has revealed that this particular wall is anything but a wall the human will be checking for secret doors, traps and whatnot in the area.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace looks at the creature in question and begins examining it further himself. The human taking a few cautious steps forward and crouching or bobbing as needed to examine the creature.
"If you've no interest in battle I don't wish to fight you thin one." The human states in Draconic, gambling on the beings potential knowledge of the language.

I did cast detect magic myself a post above, so I'll concentrate on that. Also heal check to spot any obvious signs to what maladies this gentle-lizard is suffering from? Adding in a perception check so Wallace doesn't need to get all the way into savaging range to do his examining.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
Heal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace quirks a brow and channels a wave of healing energy into the room keeping a close eye on the new arrival to see if its appearance changed. " Undead don't get exhausted."
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 6
To heal the living. Looking to see if our new arrival heals.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Any other thoughts here or do we punch this new arrival in hopes that causes it to no longer look like a vaguely threatening puzzle?

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace rather than readying further for battle loosens the grip on his weapon as his brows knit. " Does anyone else feel a lack of I suppose... threat from all this? It almost feels like I.. I wasn't in danger from that creature, like it isn't real. Hrmm.. Or that my natural instincts to a threat are being suppressed somehow. I'm going to check to see if there is magic in the air." The human posits as he mutters a word and begins concentrating.
" Does the creature.. 'Feel' real to your senses everyone? I doubt its a simple illusion but it could be something more esoteric if my more primal senses are not registering this as a threat."

Wallace casts Detect magic and will begin attempting to suss out what is going on here. First round would let me know if there is magic in the cone I'm casting or not. Wallace will make an effort to not put any of his allies into it.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace pauses on seeing the corpse rise. " Well I did just say it." The human readying his mace as his brow quirks.
" Though I have no idea why it isn't trying to eat us if its a ghoul. Are you intending to fight us or do you seek something else?"

Sense motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 Wallace is going to attempt to get a hunch about this situation.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace looks over to Maiathreen, then back to the corpse.
" Well I suppose that explains some of my interest in it. Curious though I wonder how they got here."

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace shrugs to the dragon shifting grip on his mace " I doubt they'd be able to hide from a dragons eyes but one can never be too careful. Though I suppose just keeping watch in general would be best. I'm curious to the nature of that corpse, its more complete than most of the other bodies and seems to be of a different nature." the human states gesturing to the corpse with his weapon.

assuming there is nothing amazing that occurs from Wallace prodding the corpse he would likely begin following the pick. I can only hope it leads somewhere important rather than a dead end.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Wallace glances to his belt for a moment before looking into the murk.
"Beware the corpses, ghouls and ghasts are masters of playing possum." The human retrieving his banner and mace, cautious of what might come next.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Man I have a techslinger who would give several lifesaving organs for that laser cannon we just picked up.

Though we can still likely get away with some silly tricks with it.

Amusingly we got a massive pile of loot out of this, its just that most of it isn't useful for us specifically and we can't exactly sell it.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

Its amusing how little importance pathfinder puts on indecipherable language. Wallace will be able to find out what it all says tomorrow when he can cast Comprehend languages again.

Wallace glances over to the glowing weapon with interest before giving the halfling a nod placing the weapon he held back down gently. "Yes it is true that many things coming from that place are dangerous. It answers a few questions I had about that queen if she came from there as well. I can't imagine the Technic league of that place would have willingly let an object like that out of their hands. The rest of these objects are obviously of incredibly fine craftsmanship as well. A shame we will very likely not be able to actually sell them though." The man says gesturing specifically to the glowing weapon as he shakes his head and looks in the direction of the jumping pick's tug.
" Assuming we can take it with us I can attempt to divine their purpose with better suited blessings tomorrow. To our present concern though I can say that I'd like to grant the dead of this cavern some measure of peace. Unless there are objections I'd like to see if we can find what this object pulls to. Who knows, perhaps the fortress is real as well. If the stories I've heard before are any indication Dwarven fortresses are a point of prestige for a dragon to have as a lair."
The human suggests as he looks toward the dragon in his company then to the path forward.

Male Male Human Evangelist cleric 4 HP 40/44 AC:17/13/14 F+7/R+4/W+9 Init+3 Perception+13

The Recharge spell could likely lets us hobble along if something in the pile is found to be worth its cost. though I doubt the laser cannon will end up being anything but an oddity. Its a shame nobody in the group uses heavy armor. Transforming full plate is awesome. Apparently it grants DR2/- in heavy form.

Wallace removes his heavy winter gloves and picks up the chain weapon by what approximated a handle. "Perhaps the magic of this device is hidden somehow?" the human asks, mostly to himself as he prods the device trying to divine its function.
