The pearl of power is "a potent aid to all spellcasters who prepare spells". The arcanist prepares spells; therefore it should work for him.

Well, arcanists came along after the pearl of power's description was written, so this falls into a grey area. They prepare spells like a wizard, but CAST them like a sorcerer. The benefit of the pearl is that it allows a prepared caster like a cleric or a wizard to a get a prepared spell back, giving them a touch of the versatility that sorcerers (and arcanists) already enjoy.

And one final thing note: pearls of power cost half as much as runestones of power. That alone suggests the game designers did not intend for them to work the same way.

So, I'd say the pearl would NOT work for an arcanist the way it would work for a cleric or a wizard.

Good timing for this one; just about to start the Serpent's Skull AP and I was looking for a little more material in that part of the world to draw upon for my players to keep them from feeling railroaded, especially early on in the adventure. And since one of the players has said he wants to play a lizardfolk, that's even better. :)

Switching Arue's allegiance to Sarenrae could make Vol 4 a little interesting when the PCs visit the city of Alushinyrra, given that the city's ruler Shamira has a strong (and much discussed) resemblance to the goddess. (vol. 4, pg. 75, last paragraph)

Oh, no...it's not too late at all! I recently completed a Forgotten Realms campaign, and have been waiting to start my group on Crimson Throne since it first came out. I've eagerly snapped up all of your Pathfinder conversions and am very pleased that the final installment is available; it's something that I just didn't have the time to do myself.

Rest assured that over 2011-12, there will be at least one group of gamers appreciating your efforts! Thanks very much!
