We ended up going with Hope's End. Their description might not have seemed like a match for us and how we described ourselves but in talking with them we found enough in common to work together.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions and help. It was not an easy decision and several settlements and organizations presented very tempting possibilities.

I have 5 or 6 votes to spend and am undecided as to where to spend them. They would need to be accepted once I vote. I assume the voting ends midnight on the pacific coast.
