Thank you all, for the kind words. Means a lot. You guys are an awesome group. I won't be joining, but I'll be keeping an idle eye on this game. Keep up the good work!

Vicard walks along, enjoying the hot desert sun. It was a nice change of pace from the damp, soggy streets of Absalom. Like most things he shrugged off the gritty sand, venomous snakes and savage heat. Sunburn was better then dealing with more ships, that he was sure of. As usual he lets the babble of his comrades roll off him. Traveling was a duty best done alone and quietly. But no one could shut up Ery.... He did lean over and says, "Du Moire isn't worth losing sleep over, Tereze. Plenty of worse things to be concerned over." He says shortly and goes back to contemplating the desert. Sorry for the delay

Vicard staggers back, dismayed that the slaves are already dead, but grimly satisfied at Du Moire's fate. Worse then even Gwen would have done....maybe. With that he raises his morningstar and tries to bash in the head of of the nearest monster green. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Vicard curses and says, 'You better pray they are alive, pirate. Or I'll ignore my better nature and let the sea have you." The investigator turns and hurries down the stairs, heading into the darkened hold. Once there he sets to work opening the doors. Time was of the essence. yeah, I know it is dangerous but...they might be alive? Might not be a horrible monster...maybe?

Assuming the fight is fair for this level, Gwen can probably kill anything we run into. She is a beast.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 But he listens to Urbar. [b]"A bucket? Amateurs. But the answer is simple, we disable the trap. The agile investigator goes to the transom and tries to climb up. Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 He promptly slips and falls back into the boat with a muffled curse.

We won! Vicard shakes water off of himself. Spending nearly the whole fight in the water has hurt his pride, doubly so because he went in trying to help Ery. And now he is cold. The investigator curses foully, in Halfling, and spits over the side. Soon he spots, hopefully, Du Moire. "That's our man! Now row, everyone row!" he says to the others, and put's his back to close the distance before the pirate can get away, in his much larger boat. Vicard hates boats.

Ok, so between losing my character sheet and floudring with my budget at my work, the game has fallen through my cracks. I need to find some time and re-build Inck. Every weekend I hope to do so, but time....you guys know how it is. I will try harder.

Vicard tries to climb on top of the turn boat...again. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 He fails,a gain, as the slippery boat hull defeats him, and he slides, cursing, back into the briny deep. He insults Ery more, not knowing that the elf is drowning a few feet away. Swim: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 At least his swimming is getting better!

Acrobatics to climb on Boat: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 The investigator vainly tries to scramble back on the boat. He fails, cursing Ery's parentage. Swim Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 At least he keeps his head above water.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Attempting to go help Ery, Vicard rolls off the boat, splashing into the water. While bubbling, he cruses the tea-liking elf and everything about him. Vicard hates being int he water. Steph do you have a copy of my character sheet? Mine got eaten by computer gremlins and my own stupidity.

Vicard waits for something to come within range. He is frustrated that the beast is so close yet so deep... What check to move around on the upturned boat? Might go help Ery...

Vicard attempts to reach the high ground of the overturned boat. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 He manages to stay atop the wallowing craft and reaches out a hand to help anyone who tries to the same feat. With the other hand he holds his morningstar aloft but wonders if a stabbing spear might be better... Does a reach weapon reach underwater? Ie, can I use my longspear to poke one of the creatures that is is 10 feet under the surface?

Vicard curses as he hits the dark water. He never did get the hang of swimming and always stayed off of boats if possible. He does manage to get out his morningstar, planning to bash in the head of anything that comes too close.

Vicard curses as he hits the dark water. He never did get the hang of swimming and always stayed off of boats if possible. Swim: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6 Not surprisingly, he sinks like a stone, bound for the depths! Uh, help someone?

Vicard nods at Ery, one of the few genuine shows of respect he has ever given the strange elf. The usually stern looking investigator looks a bit sick while the rowboat bobs in the water. Vicard keeps an eye on the silent Fiona but turns to address Locke, "Usually I take point on the questioning but I was distracted. Besides, Ery seems to be doing an unusually capable job." He nods to Urbar, "Why are you stealing their clothes? We don't have time for that. Du Morie is probably close at hand, these were his thugs, most likely., Cleaning up his trail. We are in a hurry!" Vicard moves past the fallen men and starts throwing open doors, looking for any sign that others have passed this way.
