Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Chanting a few words V calls upon the planes to protect the children, summoning a protector into their midst. Her, some may argue unorthadox, choice is that of a celestial monkey. Have the stats for it in V's profile, I can roll for it or you can I'm easy either way but I'm thinking a smite is in order.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
V remains quiet for a long moment as the others discuss what to do with the children "I believe most of the children are more than capable of deciding whether they wish to go to an orphanage or not." She concludes "Although these two" She points out two of the children on the edge of the group "will be coming to live with me if they wish it" Offering no further axplaination she looks out over the sights and sounds indicating chaos "But first I think we need to move them all to somewhere safe. Who's home or place of work is closest?"

At repeated mention of V, the raven gives a small caw and flutters over to Reg and settles on his shoulder, eyeing the flames warily. Seeker: Spoiler: Perception (1d20=16)
As soon as V gets the slightest whiff of smoke or a suspicious raise in temperature she'll stop making plans to stop a Lamm if he sttempts to flee and will instead focus on getting the kids out of the building.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Seeker: Spoiler:
V sets to work setting up traps and ambushes in potential exits for Lamm using the help of the children, but as time passes she starts to get curious as to how the others are doing and instructs Malachite to find them. A raven flutters into the room where the others are gathered and settles well away from the starting fire, fixing the adventurers with a disapproving stare, in the way of most birds.

"..and that is how you can utilise burning rage and a need for revenge" V educates the young ones with a slight smirk of a smile, a small amount of disappointment nagging at her for not chasing her own lust for vengance. Slowly a smile curls her dark lips "And I think today we can all get a little vengeance against Gaedren today. Who wants to help me set up some contingencies?" V will be rallying the kids, getting them prepared for if Lamm tries to escape.Making plans using their knowledge of the building etc, generally keeping her promise to mind them whilst also incorporating her love of knowledge and desire to make sure Gaedren is ended today

Reg Darkwintre wrote: "You might be able to pose as a buyer for the chum he sells which he uses the kids as slave labour to process," V has kept silent, although her expression shows that she is always in deep thought. As Reg utters the possibility of posing as a buyer she finally speaks up, her eyes travelling over the group. "It may be best if either one of us gifted in subterfuge or someone who may need chum could enquire, making it less suspiscious" Looking thoughtful her eyes fall especially over both clerics "Perhaps a charitable soul or two looking for cheap food to give to the needy? Who would suspect a couple of people of faith of being here for something nefarious?"
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance gives the smallest nod of agreement at the priest of Sune's words. "You are welcome to meet me at my store, and I believe Mr O'Brien works not too far from there, so perhaps we could use the two locations as meeting places for two smaller groups and travel through the streets in a looe bigger group."
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
"Thank you for the offer, but I really do not need an escort home" Vengeance rebuffs Bean easily before refocusing on Zellara for a moment and bowing her head "Thank you for the reading" Keeper: Spoiler: Detect magic on Zellara & the reading as V is a suspiscious sort.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance gives a small amused smile at the halfling before returning her attention to the others. Teelos; Spoiler:
It is as though you're reading my mind little one. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact the invites we were sent radiated illusion magic. As Bean speaks to her the genasi tenses once mnore, all humour stripped from her face and her eyes cold. "You goddess has never favoured me so I refuse to return the courtesy by favouring her and hers" She declares with a little bitter venom in her tone. The reading helps her no more, the young woman retreating inside herself and her expression becoming cold and empty at the words 'It has ended poorly hasn’t it my dear' The only time her expression changes is a look of vague intrigue as her card, the cricket turns up in the spread, almost certain it is an ill omen for her, something she can't escape.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance slowly drums her fingernails against the tabletop as she listens, tensing especially as Bean talks about Sune again. "I specialise in myticism, mnore specifically the arcane, crafting jewellery and imparting knowledge" She replies plainly as she looks straight ahead rather than looking at anyone in particular "I'm by no means a fighter but I will do all I can to support you all in whatever you decide to do I am not a tactitian. The only thing I will say is that I will definately be coming with you, I have waited a long time for this"
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
"Not funny, but certainly amusing, to me at least." Vengeance replies vaguely with a sleight dismissive wave of her hand "it's been a while since I last witnessed a group of men together is all. It reminds me of something" She adds to the enigma of what is on of her mind.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance moves swiftly and in an agile manner around the room, looking over the walls once more, really not wanting to settle in one place for any length of time, especially around others she doesn't know. A gentle cold wind plays around her and seems to get colder whenever any of the others get anywhere near her.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
At the mention of invites Vengeance tosses her card almost carelessly onto the table, face up, a picture of a hooded lady with images dancing above her outstretched hands visible to all. Slowly a smile graces her interesting facial features, seemingly impressed by something as she looks over the cards on the table and then to the others gathered around the room.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance throws a stray lock of hair over her shoulder as the dark man introduces himself, her eyes slightly narrowed, immediately suspiscious. "Hakeen" She repeats as he introduces himself, her tone of voice reminiscent of a cold breeze that threatens a future storm. She mentally notes the name but does not give her own.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance takes some of the wine as it is offered, taking the opportunity to glance at the halfling's card, intrigued to see if they all got the same or whether the card faces were a clue to their situation. She doesn't linger long however chosing to return her attention to the situation around her, keeping herself aware of all others in the room and of the room itself.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
"Well now, aren't you an intriguing thing?" Vengeance retorically enquires of the card in her hand, her dark lips curling into slight smile. "Consider my interest piqued" She adds before putting it away in her coin pouch and getting back to the current monotony of her job. Just before sunset the genasi shuts up shop as always and makes her way through the streets in the diminishing light, seeing no point in being either early or late. With a knowing smile she holds out her hand as she walks and Malachite, her raven familiar flaps down and rests upon it. "Watch the outside of the building for me" She instructs plainly before lifting her hand to let the bird fly free once more. Deciding that standing on the doorstep would attract attention she enters without knocking, besides whoever sent the note didn't mind sending something into her home without announcing itself first. With eyes the colour of storms she carefully regards the others before turning her attention to the decorations on the walls, finding them of more interest.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Vengeance slowly twirls the card between her fingers, her expression one of vague curiosity, te was no doubt that this would prove more interesting than the letter she was working on. Pushing her inks and paper to one side she rests her chin in her free hand and stares at it intently. "Now where did you come from? And more importantly how d you know my past?" She questions the apparently inaminate object with a small smirk of a smile as she looked even closer still at the card. With detect magic.

Vengeance closes her eyes and lets the breeze from the sea blow past and gently caress her skin, savouring the moment with a faint smile. It had taken a lot to get a small shop close to seafront but it had proven to be wellworth it, the air was more alive here, less stagnant. Openning her eyes the brief smile quickly faded, replaced once more with her usual stoic, almost stern, expression as she set about looking over her storefront. It was fr from impressive but she'd done her best to make it eye catching. 'Lady V.
The sign above her door proudly proclaimed. She'd deliberately left it vague as she had a great many talents she was willing to share for the right amount of coin, the lettering was starting to peel and with a sigh she resolved to prepare a spell to fix it up the next day, the seabreeze was wonderful but played havoc with the paint. With a frown she decided it was as good as it was going to get today and drifted into the building, slipping easily into the large desk that dominated most of one of the corners of the shop floor and got to work on one of her most recent commissions. 'Dear Mother, I arrived in Korvosa safe and well' She started to neatly scribe with a frown, she hated having to write these letters, she got asked to write one every tenday or two, letters from illiterate barbarians probably being sent to other illiterate barbarians, it felt like such a waste but money was money.
Female Air Genasi Wizard 1 (Conjurer)
Giving an annoyed sound Vengeance is not best pleased at the way things are going, at this rate she'll be out of money before getting to meet more potential players. Giving a flick of her red hair she stops playing for a while, keeping herself near the table with the pretty young blonde man, and the elf, watching their progress for a while for tips before looking around for potential employers.. hell, if one of those two win maybe they'd employ her for something.

DM Ross wrote: Would people like to actually gamble, or fast-forward with Profession(Gambler) checks in the interest of time? Happy to fastforward, Vengeance will do her best to get on a table with/near anyone who looks reasonably important to continue in her search for a job. All in all she doesn't care how she does in the gambling. And some wisdom checks for playing: Wisdom checks (1d20-1=1, 1d20-1=9, 1d20-1=14, 1d20-1=8, 1d20-1=13)

Not comfortable with putting her full name on the contract, be it in jest or not. Instead in the place for her name she scrawled one letter 'V'. Paying the entrance fee she can't help but internally sigh, she was here to find work, to make money, not spend it but this seemed to b the only way in and to make sure she was seen by the highups of the Goblin.

Diplomacy (1d20+6=25) for gathering info before the event itself Drifting through the crowds Vivienne watches with a little fascination, torn between disliking and amusement at the gaudy over the top theme for the evening. The more she watches the more certain she becomes that she could be one of those succubi, it would scarcely be a wonderful career move but with gamblers there was a chance of a good tip if they won big. Pushing her thoughts aside for the time being she drifts over to where an elf appears to be signing the contract for the tournament. Giving a wry smirk as she catches his last comment she leans in a little closer. "Does that mean I have to warn them that I only have half a soul to offer?" She questions with some amusement. |
