Yes! I would like to conduct another sweep of the area, while remaining hidden!

Perception: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5, 3) + 1 = 12

Hovering his sights uncertainly over the ensuing melee, Vashh tries to locate a valuable target.

The commandos have made their own problems. It is up to them to garner their own glory. But these creatures that are assaulting the Imperials with wood, bone and stone? They need assistance.

Sweeping his rifle over to where the furry bipeds are attempting an assault on the imperial line, Vashh can tell that they are about to be gunned down to a man.

To a... furry thing.

Nomenclature is unimportant. Choosing a trooper with a repeating blaster at the centre of the line, Vashh decides to try and tip the balance of power back in favour of the attackers...

Am I still at -1D on this shot?

Oops...

The more senior of the two, a veteran non commissioned officer of the pacification of Kashyyyk and Zygerria, takes a glance at the heat pod two meters from his boots, then looks at Scout Treskan, and turns his blaster at the disguised Corellian.

And fires.

Momentarily adjusting the sights on the rifle, and hones in on the trooper vs. trooper fight. Obviously, one of these is a nexu teammate and the other an Imperial. But which is which?

With nothing to go on but body language, he makes his determination, and spends the rest of the round aiming in for a more accurate shot.

Chefs are on the Ubese vengeance list. I have unknowingly dealt them a major blow here today.

Good shooting!

Thanks! Let's see them coordinate a defense after THAT!!

Quickly taking stock of the unfolding mayhem, Vashh observes that each of his teammates seems to be barely guarded. Good. They're Specforces operatives. Let them deal with a single confused stormtrooper apiece.

Taking a bead on an Imperial Officer who is trying to move to a position of cover where he can begin trying to coordinate a defence (as seen running for cover at 4:52 in the clip), Varshh gently presses the firing stud on his rifle.

Blaster:Blaster Rifle: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 5, 1, 6) = 20
Wild die: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Total:23

Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 6, 3) = 21

Vashh is still scanning for the sight of any of his team.

I'm guessing that spotting a near-imperceptible nod of the head from a scout trooper among many, through the scope of a rifle from a range of over 65 metres, and then deciphering that to be a signal from a team-mate in disguise, is going to be one heck of a Perception check...

Perception: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 4, 4) + 1 = 14

Ah well.

Vashh's eyes flick reflexively away from the scene unfolding before him, up to the pale blue sky peeking through the treetops. The fleet will be up there now, locked in combat with an Empire that seems to be anything but unprepared.

His eyes back to the target. Not paid for heroics. I'm a marksman. If half of the stories those eager little womp rats trade in the barracks are true, General Solo will have a bag of tricks up his sleeve. Let him earn those famous bloodstripes. I'll capitalise on the confusion to free the other Rabid Nexu.

Glancing around, he takes in their positions.

Jer...Manji...Nara. No sign of Monica or Treskan. Or that rusty old droid. Still in there?

Taking a risk, Vashh initiates his commlink, with a silent prayer to the ancestors that the Imperials aren't so well organised that they've already broken the encryption on the channel.

"Monica. Treskan. Clear?"

Male Ubese Stoic and Vengeful Sniper (Perception 3D +1)

No... it's still not right. One shot, and then it's all done. There's a whole battalion down there now! Even if I take my shot and knock out the commander, I'll have compromised my position and will have to exfiltrate into the forest.

No, I have to wait. Something will present itself, and even if it doesn't, I'll still be able to keep an eye on things, maybe follow the prisoners without being seen.

As the rebels and stormtroopers begin to file from the bunker, Vashh steadies his scope and allows his sights to wander across the scene in search of the commanding officer or, failing that, any of the Rabid Nexus who seems to be lightly guarded enough that his one critical sniper shot would be enough to allow them to escape.

As this thought crosses his mind, he starts to wonder what else might be available for his one shot, that might just break up this party. An AT-ST at just the right angle to expose its control modulator to a shot that might momentarily haywire the weapons? An old tree or heavy overhead branch that could be felled onto the gathering troops with a well-placed shot? That old faithful - explosive fuel drums?

Background: Never been to Uba IV. Doesn't stop me being a true Ubese though. Member of Kettek Clan, maybe the last one off-world. Grudges die slowly with the Ubese. Well, they don't really die at all.

Those of the clan who lived away from the homeworld come together, once every ten years or so, for a grand hunt. To outsiders these seem like sedate affairs - Ubese aren't great talkers. But when the hunt's on, and the clan are moving as a single mind and a single body, it's a sight to behold.

I missed the grand hunt on Dressel two years back. Business elsewhere meant I couldn't get away. That's when the hunt ended up in a crossfire between the Empire and a smuggling ring. Star Destroyer flattened the smugglers' camp from orbit, and took out the whole hunt, who were in the same forest, at the time.

So I have no choice. The Empire goes onto the list. Signed up with the Rebellion on the condition that they could put high-ranking Imperials in my crosshairs.

Personality: Tight-lipped, secretive and bad with authority. His ability with his weapon and to remain motionless in camouflage for long periods has made him valuable to the Rebellion despite his discipline problems.
