Varin gritted his teeth and set himself, hunching slightly as they advanced down in to the crypt. "I know I said I wanted to be buried in a barrow like this when I die but Pharasmas bones... just toss my corpse somewhere open and drenched in the sun instead. Preferably on a mountain top. Let the birds eat me."
Varin let a loud bellow before lashing out with all his might, slashing once before twisting the axe and using the momentum to slash again.
Varin double moved up towards the Spider assaulting the ranged party members.

Varin tightened his hands round the haft of his axe, gritting his teeth tightly as he follows after the others, trusting in them to have sharper eyes than himself.
"Course ya heard it, ya ungunked yer ears!" Varin laughed and dusted off his hands before shouldering his axe and moving after Lys slowly.
Varin pulled his axe up to inspect the edge for cracks and chips, still not used to the supernatural strength of magic, before nodding. "Crom is likely right, we need to keep our eyes peeled and our ears... paired?"
Varin gritted his teeth before throwing himself at the creature with renewed ferocity. - - -
Varin grinmed wildly as he gripped his axe, feeling the magic fill his body, forcing more out of his legs than ever before. Varin charged, swinging his axe at the beast with as much power as he could manage.
Hey sorry for my absence. I've been in hospital. I'll catch up today.
"Aye I'd likely come back with 'Kids in glass houses shouldn't throw stones', or some such old persons sayings. You know the type? Things your mum would say if you were misbehaving as a wee-un. Not that we ever misbehaved, or that you aren't still a wee-un!" He moved over to walk beside the horse. "I would kill for a bath and a hot lamb stew right now..." he sighed as he glanced towards the edges of the road, keeping an eye out for any danger.
I think I've done everything now. Fingers crossed anyway.
Varin glanced at the Wizard and grinned, before patting the large Greataxe he carried over one shoulder. "Well I had thought to introduce them to this, repeatedly, till they stopped moving. Death, for us at least, features nowhere in that plan. I'm sure with me, Wulfy and Crumbles holding the line, you will have nothing to worry about. Do you have a better idea Kaden?" Varin glanced at Lys and shook his head, "That is a big no from me. If I die I want to be laid out on a throne, wearing my gear, so I can become one of those cool looking treasure skeletons that adventurers find in long forgotten caves. I don't want my gear to be so easy to find. They should strive for it, hunt it down. Or how would we know they are worthy of it? I also would really like to haunt either my armour or my weapon, not sure, so I could come back to abuse whoever finds it, for being lesser than me.' "What about you old man? What do you want us to do when you die of old age in oh... a week or so?" Varin glanced at Wulfrum with a cheeky twinkle in his eye.
Oooh I just noticed Wulfy has Aggrimosh. Okay I gotta rebuild my combat line a little. I'll get a post up momentarily.

Hey guys, so I got some apologising to do. I disappeared out of nowhere and didnt really explain anything. Id just been dealing with a lot of things and got really stressed out and anxious and... and I just panicked and disappeared. I am sorry about that. Thank you Jubal for taking a chance on me and I am sorry I messed up and left so impolitely. I just went back and read our opening RP and it was so so much fun. I really loved Varin and loved interacting with all of you guys.

Varin bellowed in pain and anger as he lashed out once again, swinging with all his might
"Ugh what do I do...? Do I hit it or pick it?" Varin rushes forward to lash out at the closest creature.
"Do you think we could do anything with these flowers?" Varin asked, gesturing at the pile of sleep inducing petunias.
Varin stared down in to the abyss and swore sharply under his breath. "Why the hell does it have to be so far down and so far across?"
Varin moves between Lys and Arlan, moving out and to the side, hoping to draw the beast down for good.
Varin grips his hammer tight and moves up on the other side of Lys, holding his shield up in from of himself. "Bloody flyer. Shoot it down Lys. You got this!"
Varin scrubs the gunk from his eyes before reaching down and grabbing his hammer and manipulating it in to its medium size form.
Varin gritted his jaw and, without moving, dropped his hammer between his feet, before reaching back and pulling his shield around before him, slamming it in to the ground and bracing himself behind it, covering as much as himself as he can. "Can anyone see the bloody thing? I'm lost in the dark here!"
Nah. Struggle is good. We are this far, let's just fight on. I may eat my words but there it is.
Varin moved as close to the creature as he can, making as much noise as he can, hoping to draw it close.
As one of the foreigners who could live in Britain and not get abuse for it (Irish) I feel for you Lys. It is a really f+*$ed up situation you all are in, really. Sorry you have to go through this. The world is so messed up these days. When did it become okay to be openly racist again? F*~@ man it is just depressing. Wish you all all the best guys. Stay safe put there.
"Lyyss..." Varin hisses slowly in warning. "Lys run back here and I'll swat it if it follows!" He grips his hammer tight, waiting to do just that, if it arises.
Varin glanced over the drop again and sighed, grabbing the rope and holding it tightly. "I'll ah... act as an anchor on this side?"
Damn... I was gonna say Arlan. I'm bad at these guessing games.
"Uggh..." Varin looks from the lillypad, to the drop and back again, before shaking his head. "I am literally a walking mountain of metal. One of us is blind. This isn't going to work. F*!*. Arl it is up to you to take the hits over there. I'll stay here with those who can't make it across."
Varin sighs when Bel pulls out their discoveries. "Well... maybe one of em can cure Nerak, maybe?"
Varin coughs slightly and grabs the Dwarf carefully by the back of the shirt, laying his other hand on Nerak and beginning to lead him forward toward the woman. "To be Guardian of this here vault you have to have strong magic I would wager. Can yeh do anything for these two. The Cocky one is blind and Sleepy is afflicted with some madness. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated ma'am!"
Varin picks up the freshly unconscious and still firmly tied up Dwarven woman and walks slowly after his companions, using his hammer as a walking stick. He stands behind Arlan, letting the woman down slowly, and waits, hands resting on the pommel of the weapon. He inclined his head to the woman and let Arlan speak, not trusting his words after their last encounter.
Varin nods, stepping up and taking his hammer in hand, causing it to double in size as he stands there idly twisting it in his hands. He frowns, tapping it off the ground as he begins to eye up the door for possible weaknesses.
Varin sighs and slumps slightly, staring around dejectedly. He had done nothing in that combat merely held his ground and the huge slab of steel before him, hoping to draw some attention. Nothing came for him however and he felt kind of foolish. "How is everyone fairing?"

Bels plan requires him to have line of sight to the creature, correct? Stumbling around on a bridge with a huge drop in an Obscuring mist sounds like a terrible idea. Stones raining death from above sounds like our only plan.
That will be my intention now. Having Varin spin around on the bridge and slam his shield down to give me the defense.
Varin sighs as Nerak mentions the role of bait, before standing. He begins by first shrinking his hammer to a medium size, before then strapping on his tower shield to his other arm. "I guess bait means me. Please don't flamin kill me. I like my pretty face as it is." [ooc]Varin is probably best choice for bait as he is slower than Arl and wouldn't be able to capitalize on situations as quickly. Plus he is a bag of HP as well so it will be fine. I hope..."[/b]
Varin sets down the Dwarf woman and groans, hand pressing on the wound in his side. The little fey had sharp daggers and an eye for gaps in plate. "Give me a bloody Giant any day..." He sighed, knuckling his forehead and frowning. "I need healing and we need to get some way of seeing the invisible!"
Varin sighs and grabs the Dwarf woman, beginning to move slowly backward. "I'm trying to leave see? But you should know, we mean you and yours no harm. We are just trying to do what you all are doing, protect our people!"
Varin groans slightly, holding his chest and holding up his hands. "We are here following a Wisp. He led us to this place to seek arms so that we can defend our people against a monstrous army. God's just listen and stop stabbing me, please!"
Fly speed 60 is my guess
Varin dumps the Dwarf carefully to the ground before grabbing his hammer and causing it to grow to ifs regular size. He feels the wound in his side and grits his teeth as he stares around.
"Look, whatever you are, come out and stop f!~*in around. I don't have time for this please."
Growling he shakes his hammer in the air instead, "DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL"
