I'm sorry again for the long delay. I'm back for good this time. I just have a lot of catching up to do with the other games.

One of my cousins passed away Monday. I should have posted that I might be away for a while. I'm sorry about that.

I am really really really really really sorry for the delay everyone. RL kidnapped me for a while. I'm catching up on all the games as fast as I can today.

I got my book finally too. :)

I don't think Zalen and Ayedah ever talked about what was mentioned in the breakaway. I don't remember it at least.

It'll be something to talk about at least! :)

I'm STILL waiting for the book to come in.

Nayr! Are you still with us? :)

Larry, if there is anything we can do, if you need to talk to someone, please let us know okay?

We'll be here for you if you need us.

Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.

Oh God, Larcifer. I am so sorry.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones. If you ever need to talk, we'll be here for you.

Please, please don't worry about us or the game. Just take all the time you need.

Thanks! I like to try and keep my rolls confirmable though when I can. I get paranoid if I don't. But you can probably tell whenever I can't access IC...

I really need to get my dice blessed one day. :)

Khal, thanks! Things have been so busy here I really did forget! I'm fixing it ASAP! (kinda pressed for time today, but I WILL get it done!)

Gern tends to use a dagger for delicate matters, but only when he thinks his axe is too crude for a situation, or if there are many breakables about.

Ayedah's more blunt when it comes to those matters.

hehe, sorry.

I guess it's my turn to be nervous about hogging the spotlight over in the breakaway thread. I'm sorry if I'm taking up too much time guys. And I'm really sorry if Ayedah seemed really "beggy" there. I couldn't think of anything she could do but start to despair a little before the Field Marshal reassured her. That should keep her going for a long time though and keep her from being depressing to be around. :)

If I ever need to dial her back a bit guys, please let me know!

I hate my vitual dice I hate my vitual dice I hate my vitual dice I hate my vitual dice!

I hate my vitual dice!

:)

Don't worry about us Scribble. Please take all the time you need, alright? We understand. :)

Best luck and wishes! And hope you have a good time at GenCon!

Yep, that's perfectly fine! :)

I don't know if you can find charities just for recovering drug addicts in Korvosa, but if any good temples help in that area, she would probably name them.

She doesn't quite get what offerings are seen as appropriate to the gods yet though. I imagine she would try to bring a deer or a big fish she had hunted as an offering...

I'm not sure how well that would go with the temples. :)

Ayedah will throw her share of the tribute into the street with a curse. ;)

Khaladon, don't worry. It's kind of expected in a lot of these situations since you're the "face".

Gern, Krek, and Ayedah handling delicate negotiations might not work out so well. :) Nayr and Alandra would probably have much better luck.

It might be an end-of-month bump hitting a lot of people. I know that's what happened to me this weekend. ;)

Khaladon wrote:

PS you sure you wouldn't prefer the +1 leather over a regular chain shirt Val? ;-)

It would probably feel more comfortable, but there's no way Ayedah would want to wear something Devargo had on him for any period of time. ;)

It's probably still crawling with spiders...

Chain shirt it is!(for now!)

Oh crap! I'm fixing it now, sorry!

I hope your mother gets well soon, Dave!

Ow, and you too Wrath! :(

French Wolf: I just saw your message. I'm sorry for your loss.

It's all heartwarming now. :)

Wrath wrote:

Oh, and I haven't forgotten you in the whole rewards things Val, I'm just working out how to slip something your way so it makes sense story wise.

Cheers

What do you mean? I got a skull and a torc! I'm good till level 3! ;)

HP Roll: 7!

Zalen Candorian wrote:

Also, I guess none of us, according to our alignments, can use the poison; but are we allowed to sell it Wrath?

I can dispose of it!

I need to look at the Beta again to see if I can even use a chain shirt without messing up my speed. I really like being fast. :) If it doesn't, I might ask for one of them since they came off the guards. I can't see Ayedah wanting to keep anything that came off of Devargo himself.

It's going to be good to get some money though! Ayedah keeps giving her money away! Those ingots went quick!

Hey, should we go ahead and tell Kroft about Devargo not being a problem any more? That might raise her spirits. A little...

Yeah, like everyone has said it's been really great so far Wrath!

Hope you guys liked the twisty little plot for that first level of yours. I was trying for soemthing a little away from the usual "meet in an inn and raid the local baddies".

In this case the inn caught fire as soon as we arrived. ;)

I'll level up as quickly as I can. I'd roll my hit points now, but I can't reach IC at the moment.

I'm grinning at the idea of four grown people trying to wrestle with one baboon. :)

edit

Or at least I was until I looked up "baboon" on youtube...

lol Count : P

Hey, btw, any room in the Second Darkness game your in Count? Or that Legacy of Fire game, Val Wellard and you are in?

Augh! If only you had seen it a few days earlier! :(

You should still put your name in the recruitment thread though, just in case! You never know! :)

Welcome aboard guys! :)

Would sending Kara back to camp with one person and the rest staying behind to try and hold whatever parts of the monastery they can secure be a bad idea or a terrible idea? ;)

Set wrote:
Someday I should find a Legacy of Fire game as well.

It's really, really awesome. :)

Great, now I have a lot more reading to do too! :)

There's a lot more crossover between these games than I thought at first.

I'm in:
Ayedah in TerraNova's Curse of the Crimson Throne game - A Shoanti barbarian fresh from the Storval Plateau who came to the city to find some of her childhood friends and wound up in Zalen's "band of misfits". She wasn't ready for city life at all.

Kaliciel in This Game - Drama queen. :)

Tenna Milcress in Hopeless' Legends are Made, Not Born game - Peasant just-turned-ranger who took a job along with Khal's Bogorin and others to help care for her family. It started as a simple job at least. We've finally found the people we were trying to rescue but there's a lot more going on than we thought at first.

Zindit Tamelathi in Rimrock's Second Darkness - Oh boy. Gnome rogue insane asylum escapee who accidentally got her brother and guardian killed, wound up horrifically burned and scarred, is hiding out in Riddleport, and is convinced Sarenrae is out to get her. She somehow managed to hook up with a group of folks including TerraNova's character, a Calistrian prostitute-turned-paladin of Sarenrae. :)

Kora Oaks in DB3's All-Hallow's Eve game - Half-orc rogue who had a lot of her daring scared out of her during her first trip with an adventuring company. Spooky stuff is going on. It's set in Sandpoint of all places!

Vivaeri Firdraes in Robin's Taldoran Campaign - Half-elf jester/bard. Reluctant bride-to-be doesn't even begin to cover it. She's given Wellard's Ewald way too much grief already, and it looks like it's only going to get more complicated now that everyones' tempers are cooling down. Especially since Vivaeri's twin sister Halsanna might maybe kinda sorta like Ewald... And yeah, no combat at all. It's at the point that if a real fight broke out it would be probably be a horrifying experience for a couple of characters. When the game started five of the PCs were linked by blood.

Ikethru in Malvoisin's Legacy of Fire - Osiriani human. Former slave and member of a demonic cult, currently a priestess of Sarenrae. Has a guilt complex as big as Zindit's but without the benefit of being crazy enough to avoid dealing with it. This one had a lot of family related characters too, two siblings by blood and another "adoptive" with them.

Paera in Wrath's Fall of Nations - Half-elf Varisian rogue. This one has been a fast-paced roller-coaster so far. Khal's Bo-Dan is literally the only character she trusts absolutely so far. There's a constant sense of danger going on, especially with all of us and a bunch of refugees stuck on a boat together.

Neevan in Nightwish's Red Hand/Pathfinder - Vudrani slave/monk who has been sent to this apparently haunted mansion crawling with hobgolbins to find her new owner. I've just now started really as an added character to bolster the player numbers, and three more players joined at once right after. The battle that's going on has been pretty chaotic and we still haven't had a chance to catch our breath and find out exactly who each other is.

Hehe, I was worried about making the NPC cast explode in size. Sorry about that! Ayedah really just intends to get those girls some help, not really to "adopt" them. But if that's a complication you would enjoy throwing at us... ;) It's just that she feels she has to do something, especially if she isn't going to be able to destroy that drug den.

But really I'm fine with whatever is easiest for you to run, Terra. :) The NPC cast is pretty huge already if you count everyone we've personally met and is still alive.

I'm probably most attatched to Zalen's children. I really want to see how things develop with them, especially Ayen. I imagine Ayedah as having really warmed to Pirisa as well. I'm interested in seeing where Trep goes too, even if Ayedah strongly dislikes him.

The other Pharasman priestesses and Gern's family are neat too. I can't imagine them not coming into play again and again.

Ayedah'll try to keep in touch with Maris when she can, mostly to make sure she's doing as well as she can after her friend's death. I'd like to try and make amends with Bren, but I can't think of anything in-character that could ever "make things right" between him and Ayedah. It's still something that troubles her.

And Majenko is awesome! I love the idea of having a tiny dragon hanging around with us.

I have no idea what to make of Halvarra at the moment. ;)

I guess they could be more people sent by Almah's company or family to help her out. I'm fine with more people coming in!

I really, really should have bought a healer's kit.

Don't worry about it Larcifer. :)

On what just happened to Kara, oh crap! I hope Father Zastoran has restration spells, because all I can do is provide full-time care with heal checks. At most, it would double the rate of healing ability damage.

I came close to trying to start a game twice before I came to my senses. ;) I don't know how the DMs manage it!

I'm at my limit too with nine active PCs here. Some of the games are slower in pace but I really need to avoid joining any more for a while.

That was awesome with the pack mentality for Ali btw!

Zalen Candorian wrote:
You go girl! LOVE seeing the bad-ass side of Ayedah! lol

Hehe. I was worried about derailing everyone else with that even before we went inside Devargo's ship. But sense we're carrying two people in bad shape with us already...

And trust me Krek! You did Trep a favor! :)

I loved that bit about Alandra feeling grateful she didn't have to do any of the killing too.

Whew. I'm finally caught up on RL stuff so I can re-read all of the OOC threads. I missed more than I thought...

And yeah Wrath! You did great!

And good to have ya back, Terra. :) (we're not going to get those genie bottles are we?)

Nayr Goldwyn wrote:

And Val, that picture of Ayedah is jaw-dropping! The style of the earthbreaker looks pretty darn cool.

Thanks! I wish I could take the credit for that clothing design and earthbreaker, but that was all Hugo Solis! I wish I had half of his talent!

Oh yeah, don't forget that we had two break-away threads too!

Thanks! And I've been meaning to tell Khal, Bo-Dan from Fall of Empires pretty much made me have to start playing a monk over at Nightwish's game.

Writing your actions for flurry of blows is fun. :)

Quote:
Romon watches the pair. Their proximity to each other and Kallie's pat on the back seem to concern him more than Inikai's apparent insincerity.

Uh-oh! Drama inbound! ;)

Kallie really is the worst person to have in the middle of that situation. She's not the most emotionally mature PC in the group!

Wrath, quick! Have us find those genie bottles!

Gotcha! Thanks!

Paizo should consider making a fan fiction section i think. Right now I think it mostly depends on what it is. Most seem to post their own fan created stuff in the forum they feel fits the most.

It's just going to be a write-up about a Vudrani order of monks. I think the only crunch I could feel confident about making for it would be Traits.

Do people usually post it here or somewhere else?

As for half-breeds, these rarities are likely either hidden, "altered" to pass as human, or cast out (probably with the mother) so not to bring disgrace upon the family. I suspect half-fiends and tieflings are probably more prolific in Vudra than elves and orcs, though, and even those would be rarities.

Gotcha! I thought the other races were spread more evenly across the planet, but it works for what I'm trying to write to have them be rare in Vudra. :)

It's the half-orcs and half-elves that I really needed to know about. Thanks!

I'm doing research. ;)

Do Vudran elves, dwarves, gnomes and halflings exist entirely outside the caste system? And if they do have a place in it, what about other non-humans or even dragons?

And if they don't, what place in the caste system would half-orc or half-elven children have? Would it be seen as a mark against them and their human parent or even see them expelled from their caste?

Just bumping this out of the archives since it was missing.

We'll be here for you, whenever you need. Take care out there, okay?

Hey Mark, just saying again that you don't have to worry about the games. Please, just take as much time out as you need, okay?

Hey Mal! And don't worry so much! Just take it easy. We'll be here when you're ready. :)

Haha, how in the world did Kara become the leader of this rabble? Oh well, might as way play along...

It's all part of our master plan to get Kara to be more assertive so that she'll be prepared to throw off the chains of slavery.

That's my excuse. :)

Yeah I just caught the sai thing. You cad. ;)

Sorry for taking so long getting back from the holiday weekend. And have a good time at the con Wellard!

Yeah, please take your time Mark. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Yeah, don't worry Dave! Sorry for my own lateness. The holidays and illness teamed up on me...

Whoa, hey there Nayr! :) It'll be great to have you back! We're going to need to get you caught up on what's happened so far!

And YES! First critical with the earthbreaker!

On a spider. :(

I'm really happy for Krek though. Now Gern owes him one. ;) I'm going to be sad to see Gern leave for a while. He and Krek are fun to watch.

Zalen Candorian wrote:

LMAO Ayedah. Remind me to never get in a (booze) drinking contest with you! Although at least you are strong enough to be able to carry Zalen's unconscious form home afterwards :)

Speaking of which, how is everyone now as far as suffering from poison. Zalen and Gern seemed to get the worst of it, but I think everyone got poisoned at least once so far.

You know, this has to seem very odd to Amie, Tate, Hans, and Coraline. :)

Woo! Rogue talents!

Count Buggula wrote:
Ok guys, we're not waiting on a DM for once so there's no excuse for us to just be sitting there. I really don't think you want Kara to be the one taking the lead here, either...she's not so tactically minded.

Whoa! Watch your step in there! We'll owe Almah money if you're not careful!

;)
