For the past 18 months or so, I have been mainly playing PFS2, with a few scattered PFS1 games finishing up the un-played scenarios.

This week, my group is playing a scenario I played 9 years ago. I told them if they need me to make a legal table, I'd be happy to play a pregen.
One mentioned that long time players should have some replays.
I only ever GM'ed once, so have no relays from there.
Did I earn some replays after the switch to PFS2?
If so, where would I find them listed?

Thanks!

Everybody got a certain number of replays based on the number of PFS1 games they'd played at that time approximately a couple of years ago. (I think it was a couple of years ago. Pandemic surreality has completely ruined my sense of time, but it was in summer and it wasn't last year; might have been longer ago.) Unfortunately I have no idea where to find it currently. It was supposed to work on a similar system as the boons when it was fully implemented, so I looked on that page, but wherever it is, it isn't there. I know that I had at that time played between fifty and a hundred scenarios and I got 5 replays.

Most likely not the in person con. My husband and I will both be fully vaccinated by the beginning of May, but most of the people in the group we GM for are Canadian and have already decided against GenCon this year. Even though I'm sure it will be smaller this year, GenCon's a much bigger affair for us than Origins, and not only do we not want to try to deal with running events without the Canadians, I'm not sure I even want to deal with attending GenCon without getting our hotel room taken care of as GMs. We've been spoiled for years by that. I put in a vacation request at work today for the new dates but didn't leave any travel dates because we'll almost certainly only be playing online. (As minis GMs, we won't be trying to make running online work.)

Now, with Origins being smaller, I might be willing to attempt that without the Canadians if all my fellow Ohioans are in. That will depend on if the CDC changes the recommendations that even fully vaccinated individuals avoid large gatherings by the time that we'd need to make such a decision, though.

Since I posted last, my second character, Dame Dorianne Corday, half-elf alchemist (alchemist 11/bard 1) has joined the level 12 list. On one of her recent missions, she was responsible for the engagement of one of her frequent adventuring companions to a local woman who decided she still liked him after the unnatural lust spell wore off. (She was under a curse and needed to be subdued safely.) On another recent mission, she received a tip about the location of Grandmaster Torch that she hopes to be able to follow up on soon.

And due to stay at home orders shifting the way that we play to more frequent sessions of ongoing campaigns that GMs can move online rather than individual scenarios in store-based organized play, one of my more recent characters, Vrulie Teketh, has surpassed the rest of them. Vrulie is a half-elf Swashbuckler/Paladin of Shelyn (half and half) who has made her career out of exploring the Emerald Spire. She has one level left before she sets out on new adventures.

Kata Thirkuld, Half-Orc Paladin of Andoletta, is currently pursuing her other occupation baking cookies until a mission that requires a pathfinder of her skills comes along. A few adventures ago she became acquainted with a group of Sarenrae worshiping orcs, and if a party can be assembled for Eyes of the Ten and she can become a venture captain, she hopes to be able to recruit some of them to her lodge.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We're going to talk to this NPC alchemist and when we arrive at the shop, three thugs are there about to set fire to the shop. We have been asked to avoid killing the low level thugs if possible, because they're taken from among the kids of the oppressed population of this town even if they have been corrupted by the people we're looking to overthrow. My alchemist does not have a lot of nonlethal options in a fight unless she can poison somebody unconscious, but she does have one level of bard, even if her spells basically never work because her saves are so low. Not expecting this to work at all, I cast unnatural lust on one of the thugs, for one of the other thugs. The GM manages to roll so badly that he fails the extremely low save. He says "They're both guys, does that matter?" I say "The save's higher if they couldn't be attracted to the person I'm aiming them at, but is there any reason to believe he's straight?" The GM agrees that there's no reason to assume Thug 1 is straight, so he starts trying to kiss Thug 2. One of the other party members, who specializes in tripping, trips Thug 2, so he goes to the ground (and naturally, Thug 1 follows). Also in our party is a character based on the Disney version of Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame (with a goat as an animal companion). Esmeralda starts her fascinating performance dance and fascinates Thug 3, at which point all of the thugs are sufficiently incapacitated that we can knock them out and/or tie them up with minimal damage done, and the GM needs a couple of minutes to process the fact that he never even got to set the building on fire.

Anyone know what these boons do? The master spreadsheet that someone is maintaining doesn't have any text for these in it.

Goblin Patronage
Season Explorer (Seasons 4–5)

Here's an abridged explanation for season explorer 4-5. It's rather long.

Check a box for each of the scenarios you have played with any character or run as a GM, earning 1 XP in the process. If you have checked at least 10, the character to which this boon is assigned gains the basiec boon reward associated with that season. If you have checked at least twenty scenarios, they also gain the elite boon reward.

For the season 4 scenarios:

Risen Rune Explorer (basic): You gain Knowledge (History) as a class skill.
Risen Rune Explorer (elite): At the end of an adventure, reduce the prestige point cost of any spellcasting services to remove conditions by 1 for every 4 ranks of Knowledge (history) you possess (minimum 1). This reduction does not stack with other such discounts.

For the season 5 scenarios:
Worldwound explorer (basic): You gain knowledge (planes) as a class skill
Worldwound explorer (elite): When purchasing or enchanting cold iron equipment, you no longer increase its price by 2,000 gp.

  • Do you still have the Tiefling? I'm looking for one, and a local GM with a lot of race boons he doesn't plan to use said if I find somebody with one on offer to let him know what they're looking for. If it's still available, I'll see if he has a Catfolk or Skinwalker (or what else he has that might be interesting).
